I have mixed feelings about Morning Joe. It's a necessary voice to counter the lies and misinformation spewed by right wing media outlets. Unfortunately, rather than the hosts conducting themselves professionally focusing on delivering facts in a clear, concise manner, they often times get over emotional and go on ranting tirades that are difficult to follow. Too often they have guests who can't organize and articulate a clear thought without stumbling over their words and filling the airwaves with meaningless "you knows" and "Uhhh Uhhhhs". As a J-School graduate over 35 years ago, I'm embarrassed at what has become of the media industry. They are more interested in self-promoting their individual brands and trying to be entertainers seeking personal fame and fortune rather than being committed to journalistic integrity. All that being said, it's far better than the right-wing misinformation networks like Fox and OAN. How Americans can digest what's obvious to any thinking human being a diet of lies and misinformation aimed at painting anyone who leans liberal/progressive as evil and haters of democracy is baffling. It's a serious disorder in this country that needs to be addressed. I need to explore other alternatives to Morning Joe, perhaps PBS or BBC would be a better fit for someone who isn't interested in listening to Joe yammering on out of control. If anyone has a suggestion I'm open to legitimate suggestions.
