Alien: Earth: Season 15
Jun 22, 2026
It was close to being ok. Seeing them plug 2 of their own Disney movies in an Alien show made me chuckle. The Xenomorph is really relegated here and there is, once again, the usual plot armour. People with guns just cannot aim to save their lives (literally) and after the main character dispatches an alien, it really loses any scary factor. Trying to mix a vibe of Goonies with Alien is pretty bizarre but ok. Oh and the plot contrivance of the cyborg conveniently hacking into one of the hybrids audio system from a thousand miles away is insanely lazy writing. The terrible usage of licensed music that they just put in the credits is absolutely baffling lol. Yer, this wasn't great. However, the visual effects and the world building is excellent. There is a decent amount of intrigue here and tension. Can't say I liked the cliff-hanger ending because it really needs a 2nd season. A large premise of this show is the introduction of hybrids not the alien/s. They're kinda just there. These hybrids vs cyborgs vs synths bring up interesting philosophical questions, but nothing is answered. I think I'm being pretty generous giving this a 4.8. A lot of room for improvement

Peacemaker: Season 27
Jun 22, 2026
This is really a 7.3. A slight improvement on the first season. It has more heart and is more of an emotional roller coaster for Christopher for sure. Whilst I stand by my criticism of James Gunn making Superman, THIS is where he shines - Action comedies with heart. This is the second-best thing he has done after Gurdians 3 which also had a lot of heart. It's not easy to have a show/film make you giggle one minute and then make you sad the next as these are conflicting emotions but I think he does it quite well. This show is not a work of genious, and neither does it try to be. It is entertaining and as said, has a good heart at it's core. I have said heart too many times. Sorry... heart.

There is a very interesting concept here by episode 3. This being: What if there was an underground, force-using group/order, secretly using both light and dark sides of the force? What if the Jedi found out? How would they react? To me, this is interesting to explore. But this show executes it terribly and has the most dog **** writing I have ever seen. The whole show is just a rather unwanted therapy session for Leslye Headland to embellish her delusions and current world view perverting what Star Wars is in the process.
I've said it a hundred times since 2019. Don't **** established beloved IPs with your radical ideas. Create your own and let the market decide.

The Boys: Season 46

Very disappointing given the usual standard. Also this season seems to have been co-opted by the far left. Everyone online is saying Homelander is a metaphor for Trump and if you act surprised, they say he has always been a metaphor for him. What a crock of ****. These people know no bounds.
I will tell you what Supes are a metaphor for. They are metaphors for celebrities in general and how the public worship them like Gods and believe they are all saints when really, behind closed doors, they are disgusting people. This covers a lot of people in Hollywood, naturally, so it calls for some deflection... an escape goat... When in doubt, blame Trump.

Again, Sorry, I can't remember much, but I know I liked this season. I swear, ever since getting 5 covid jabs it's like my short-term memory doesn't work anymore. Was it 5? arrrrrrr!
I think it dropped off a bit towards the end but overall a thoroughly entertaining show. It's not hilarious, it's silly/goofy with action. Think leathel weapon or rush hour, but in a comic book universe. Very much James Gunn's style.

Wednesday: Season 27

Delightful season like the last. I could nitpick here and there but Jenna remains great as Wednesday and shout out to Evie Templeton as Agnes who managed to pull off being both creepy and cute as the same time. This season gets another dance but this time it was Agnes and Enid which was great, but I wish Wednesday could have gotten in there in the second half. This season has the Adams family do way more than the first season who we barley saw. I think the ending was slightly better than the first season and overall was a slight improvement.
I will say though. I understand there were strikes in 2023, but we had to wait 3 years for 8 episodes. Back in the 90s we would get 25 episodes released per year. So, it's getting silly at this point

Struggling to remember this tbh but I definitely enjoyed this show. It is quite charming and Jenna Ortega is delightful as Wednesday. I remember the dance being great. I think maybe it got a little contrived at the end but I honestly can't remember specifics.
With the lack of decent writers in the world today, this is not a work of genius but it's solid entertainment and delivers what it's supposed to.

How has this abomination got a 3.2
Disney :
"Good. Let the hate flow through you... Give in to your anger. With each passing moment you make yourself more my servant..." Leslye Headland :
"sTaR wArS sAvEd My LiFe....... weeeeEEEEEeeeeeeeee" I've said it a hundred times since 2019. Don't **** established, beloved IPs with your rather perverse ideas. Create your own and let the market decide.

Andor: Season 14

I'm struggling to remember the first season tbh but I know I didn't like this show much. It does not feel remotely like Star Wars. I was bored the whole time waiting for something to happen. None of the characters are interesting and most conversations are tedious. Too much talking overall. This show could use a little levity scattered throughout, being a Star Wars property. Maybe a comic relief character. Oh, one thing I do remember well was how pointless Syril was after the 3rd episode. He just stays with his Mum, in a STAR WARS show. How exciting. And did we really need to see Andor as a kid. What does that bring to the table. It just feels like filler. Actually 90% of this show is filler.
Sorry, not sorry. Add this to the scrap heap of Star Wars shows. It is painfully overrated like Rogue One, which was only interesting in the last 20-30 minutes. The reasons people seem to like it is because it's not woke and it is aimed at a demographic older than 10 year olds.

Overall this is a really good show. It started off strong, new and different and is by far the best example of subverting established expectations. In this case superheroes turn out to be pretty terrible people. I take it as an allegory for celebrities. It leads you down that path nicely in the first season unlike say the acoshyte which is insufferable at depicting the Jedi as bad.
From season 1 -3 it just got better, the stakes got higher. The shock got more shocking. It got funnier. Sadly season 4 was a big drop in quality. From a 9 down to a 6. Not awful but just ok. It has it's moments and it does set up season 5 which I think should be pretty good, hopefully. But there were some diabolical sound editing mistakes which I have never heard before. Oh and I don't give a f*ck about your politics, I just want to be entertained.

I'm torn between an 8 and a 9. Despite encountering a few writing issues I really enjoyed this show, it was a lot of fun. The issues are all minor things except one and that was a big question being raised that really needs answering next season and I still don't understand what happened to vault 32. Maybe I missed something? That said, a lot of fun, weird and whacky stuff happens in this show. The characters are a delight, especially Lucy. Her growth through the season is excellent. There's even multiple mysteries going on with the plot and who characters really are. It looks VERY faithful to the game. The tone is dramatic and goofy, kinda satirical. The world-building and tech is immense. Honestly, it's probably a tinee bit better than The Last of Us in my opinion. I cannot wait for season 2. Oh geez. I think I'll just edge it to a 9 just because none of the issues took anything away. Really it's an 8.5. Best show of 2024

We're really at that stage where if a big company is behind a TV show you cannot trust the critics. This show is basically trash. It was written by morons who do not hold a torch to Tolkien's or Peter Jackson's abilities. It is an embarrassment given the IP. My God, stupid things happen in this show with some diabolical dialogue. Galadriel is insufferable. I don't care if this is the 2nd age, she is still thousands of years old. I think it was made deliberately to destroy the IP, maybe because they think it is culturally right-wing like Halo or Warhammer 40k. I give it a 1.5 instead of 0 just because aesthetically I thought it looks quite good and there was some decent non-serious dialogue between Elrond and Durin. I would highly recommend avoiding this show, mainly to send a message to Amazon that they f'd up. Amazon have been responsible for some good things, namely The Boys S1-3 and Fallout but I dread to think what might be in store for the Warhammer 40k TV show/movies. Hopefully Cavill will specify that if they butcher the lore, he walks. And if he walks, I walk.

This show is just ok. Does it look like Halo? Yer basically. Does it feel like Halo? Not really. I just couldn't enjoy the story of Kwan. What is she doing here? It feels like she has just been shoe horned in for a diversity quota. Action was decent. I was ok with the Spartans taking out their pelets and becoming a bit more human and so a bit less combat effective but the love story between Master Cheeks and Makee was pretty bizarre for Halo. And yes we know why he's called master cheeks, what on earth were they thinking lol. Overall some interesting drama especially concerning what Halsey has done to make the Spartan program and decent action but not a faithful Halo adaptation. They should of just stuck to the original lore, it is much better

It is two stories, three episodes for each. Great show. Fast and compelling. Does a lot in a very short amount of time given. Both stories are really interesting and are great character studies. More writing like this please. No issues that I can think of. The animation is excellent. I believe it is a slight improvement on The Clone Wars. Must watch this show again at some point. On another note, according to Wikipedia, every episode but one of this show was written by Dave Filoni so it makes me think, ok, he's a good writer. But then he wrote every episode of Ahsoka, a show so riddled with holes and utter stupidity it's as if it was written by an eleven year old.

Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024): Season 15

Gosh what a dissapointment. The writing didn't compare to the original and there were some cringe lines with bad exposition. The visuals were pretty good but please make the costumes look like they have been worn for more than 5 minutes. The bending was awesome to see realised. I wish I could see through the water being bent. Minor gripe. The acting was, ummm, all over the place. It's like the original but everything feels dulled down like it's soul has been removed. Honestly, just watch the cartoon, it's way better than this but overall this show is watchable.
