Doesn't matter what load out you do. The game is decided before you press a button. Yes, good loadouts will help you win battles quicker but only the battles you're meant to win. It's not uncommon for your players to "miss" or get "dodged" When the boss is near death. In fact it happened in 6 consecutive turns against the librarian. Long and short of it, it's solitaire with "battles."it's kinda fun but know no matter what, you're meant to die, 97% of the time. Update: After 100hrs I can confidently say, this game hates you, Everything in my original review is accurate. Battles are 90% decided b4 they start. It's just a grind game. Pass time, knowing you're screwed and being ok with that.

Roster is bleh, gameplay on harder difficulties just makes your player ****. You'll have a wide open court, hit a perfect shot aiming to the far corner and the ball will go to the middle of the court giving AI the ability to, not only return the ball, but put it ANYWHERE they want. This is especially obvious against pro players. They literally decide, before you press a button, if you'll win the point or not. I once played Coco for 5hours(resetting the game over and over) no matter what you do you'd lose. If you got up 40-0, somehow myplayer would just become unable to place the ball and eventually lose the game. EVERYTIME. Expert and Legendary isn't really about making the game more challenging, just making your player awful (no matter their stats) and the AI player a god(no matter their stats) Makes the game unbearable to play. I did play the game for 200hrs on hard. About 2 weeks on Expert and Legendary I realized you're just tied up goat in a hillbillies basement. And he's been real lonely....

The only reason it even get a 4 is the roster. The gameplay is so bad, player movements are spastic, like they're all on meth, good luck hitting a flat shot over the net. Not to mention all the Quality of Life issues, to many to list. Just a really bad game.

Combat is fun enough BUT JESUS CHRIST THE CUT SCENES. For every 2min of gameplay you get 2min of cut scenes you can't skip. Not gonna make it through the whole game. If I wanted to watch a movie I would just go to Netflix.
