The title had more intriguing story than the actual movie No disrespect, but I was more curious about what man was the story about because, the main character was his child, but it was pretty obvious. The actors played well, but the story was pretty common and predictable, easy solving, she could have skipped the drama and found him earlier, but that's the charm of it. It was good to see Turturro again, and not in a comedy movie, the others too, Johnny really looked like a gypsy. Peace & Love!
A visual delight, thank you, Disney! I haven't read the original story, but I can tell that the visual effects, cast, voices were an A+ and more than 100% accurate. Very well done! Finally a good reboot! You have my full support in making more like this one! The story wasn't above the curve as many would have been expected, but it's a fantasy and a family movie! It made me a tearjerker, I admit, because it sent me there, in that period of time, where Mr. Walt created these beauties and amazed us with the drawings and magic. I never knew the lyrics from the Disney movies intro song. Thank you for that. It really touched me! A strong candidate to the visual and song department to the Oscar's, original song too, not to mention animated movie! Good luck taking on Lightyear! Can't wait for the next projects like this! Peace and Love!
Powerful story! But not that great. It was very descriptive, very good documentary material. I like the drawing style and the real life scenes. It touched many contemporary problems. We need more movies like this. As for the Oscar nominations for the documentary and international has a chance, but for the animation, it doesn't touch Luca. Well done to the producers!
Plane, pale, dry, boring, too long It didn't hooked me, the story didn't add up, so many gaps, he didn't even confronted the guy after two years. I didn't get what the movie wanted to tell us. Leave karma do her job? Maybe. As for the nominations, imo not deserved, none of them.
The category of the movie should be fantasy. Trying to understand where everything goes Besides his dream. Yeah, I get it why it was nominated for best picture category, it had an too optimistic vibe, but it was very disorganized, nothing went anywhere until the ending. The situations were too good to be true. I couldn't see those happen in this time, not to mention in their timeline. I liked Seymour Jr acting, I hope he will have a good career, he started well. As in for the other nominations, not deserved. It deserved for the music department, the songs were excellent, but that's it.
Not bigger than the trailer unfortunately It kept me curious anyway, but I was still waiting for something except the expectations. Ben was great as always, got me accountant vibes, he played the emotions very well. I couldn't relate to him because i have my principles. Great music material and the girl is adorable and that's about the movie. I hope to see Ben again soon! Peace!
If it wasn't that exaggerated, it really would have been a good piece Unfortunately, although the idea was interesting, it became predictable shortly and you started to wait for the end. The graphics were sloppy at some points, looked cheap, really not Pixar's style. Too overrated and overappreciated. PS, idk if their attitude helps the girl team, just saying, i don't think girls at that age do that, so I don't know what they are trying to expose.
Death indeed, more than I expected It was a cute one, but something lacked, I couldn't figure. I liked the previous one better, I don't know why. I can't find the missing ingredient, maybe it's the dryness of the situations, or the killings. For what it's worth, wonderful music choices and great quote material, I had to pause it very often to collect. The cast was great as well, so it's kudos anyway for Kenneth! Great work, I hope he will not stop with this saga!
Not great not terrible once again I saw some of reviews and the ratings, trailers too. I knew what I was facing. I know what I would like and what not. For example the cast, the pets design, the ideas, the comedy were the good parts, but the JL members and the story.. not so good. Had some good quotes too snatched too. Unfortunately, not a solid, unpredictable story. Wouldn't say no to a sequel. Expected my love to show up there and watch it with her but nothing is perfect without her. Peace & Love.
Ryan Reynolds movies meets Netflix again You know the result. Another romantic action comedy that was given away by the trailer and superficially checked some "life lessons". It was and interesting idea, but too predictable to enjoy. Not to mention the unrealistic and exaggerated parts.
Cute and melting, but It could have been way better if it didn't had these fantasy solving situations that were fast and easy to move on from. It was exaggerated a bit and unrealistic, but the idea was good and Channing was great, I missed his Jump Street acting. The story was easy to predict and unfortunately it didn't offer much more things than the trailer. Waiting for more projects like these! Well done!
Not bad at all The action was good, a bit unrealistic but it was not that abundant as I expected, but overall, was nice, they all played well and Kudos to Batman and his performance, pretty flexible for an 70 year old.
Not great, not terrible, short, brief John Wick from under the hood Intersting story, but it was pretty rushed from the second part of the movie. It had some flaws, but I expected to be bored at most of times. I wasn't, so I'm pleased. I think Adrien should play in more action movies. It suits him.
Wonderful, extraordinary! Love it so much! Unfortunately, I began with the sequel because I wanted to watch a Christmas movie and I wanted to see what happened in this one, although it was very obvious. It surprised me, in a great way. Loved the vibe, the period, the music, the romance, the moments shared together, the friendships, the roastings. It was a iconic hood, family 2000s movie. The type the movie that lack greatly in this period. Very fun and soulful experience. I hope that they will return with the third and not just them, the industry, to make more movies like these, even reboot. It's a good start. Miss you all! Peace!
The most not Tarantino Tarantino movie, yet I enjoyed the suspense and the wait, the mystery until it wasn't rewarded. It didn't had the action, the gore, violence that his movies have. The cast was big and I hoped that De Niro had a bigger involvement. Samuel's and Forster's performances were great, not bad Pam also, but the story didn't rose to the boiling that they were cooking all these +2 hours. So far, Hateful Eight and the others as personal preferences, yet. Kill Bills next! Peace!
Burtonverse meets R-Rated As always a pleasure to see his marks, designs, but the liquids didn't fit that well, maybe I'm not used with them in his films. Johnny as always was brilliant. I don't know the book story, probably that's why the adaptation didn't sang to me. I expected more detective work and a successful one. I hoped he could have saved more lives, but that's the story. It moved slow, a bit, enough to make me lose my curiosity and interest. Nevertheless, it was good to see Johnny and Tim working again, more please! Peace and Love!
Bit superficial, but it wasn't a problem, it rose above it! Felt rushed and some things were left unspoken, such as the airplane thing or the kid with the bag, like he was carrying a bomb, but it was a beautiful inspirational movie, even broke a tear here and there. Loved the idea! Great quote material, great original songs. As for the nominations: Morgan's definitely worthy, I haven't seen the rest of the nominees performances, I can't say yet if he deserved the Oscar yet, but I will say when I'll watch the winner; Damon's wasn't deserved, too brief and "natural" performance to be up there, but the movie deserved a best director and best picture nomination at least, in my opinion! We need more movies like this! Peace!
