Best story I’ve ever played. Clementine is one of my favorite characters now, and Violet is so cool, she is my another favorite character aside from Clementine.
This game is no match to season one(heard that Telltale changed writers and CEO when making season 2). The main storyline of the game lacks a clear goal, which makes me lack the motivation to complete it; the newly introduced characters are very flat and boring, which makes me not care about their fate at all; the portrayal of female characters is much worse than in the first season, with their behavior and motivation revolving around men and lacking agency. Telltale’s decision to change the writers and CEO was very unwise , as their talent and management skills are not comparable to the previous team.
This game has fantastic graphics and gameplay, but the storyline is so bad that it makes people angry. It gives a strange feeling that the production team is carving flowers in **** The plot arrangement is full of malice and is obviously designed to make players angry and uncomfortable. This is also why this game can trigger so many zero-score negative reviews instead of just five or six-score reviews. I am quite skeptical of players who give this game a high score because they may have a severe people-pleasing personality. They cannot feel the malice behind the writing, readily accepting the negative emotions it brings and therefore believing that the game is a "masterpiece that inspires deep human emotions." They should really consider seeing a therapist. P.S. the poor quality of the game has nothing to do with political correctness. It fails to move people because the storyline is not well crafted. Even if you replace every "politically correct" character with heterosexual white males, it won't change the fact that the storyline of this game is still bad. I’m a **** women yet I don’t like this game.
Compared to the original game, it doesn't feel like the same writing team at all. The plot is too weak, trying to showcase philosophical dilemmas but with a lot of logical loopholes. They tried to portray the characters, but they are so ordinary and boring that they failed to move me.
