Ratchet & Clank Collection8
Jul 30, 2014
I personally only bought this for Ratchet & Clank 3 on the go, and Mass Media not only reached my expectations, they absolutely amazed me. Mass Media, the same company behind the disgusting work that was The Jak & Daxter Trilogy, has also included the other two main titles on the PS2 in here as well, and while the first game has some noticeable input lag, it won't break the game. The other two, Ratchet & Clank 2 and Ratchet & Clank 3 are absolutely perfect ports of truly astounding games. They have aged amazingly, the graphics are beautiful, not the best looking on the Vita, but beautiful none-the-less. The music and sound is great, along with the designs and cutscenes. Gameplay is a mix between combat and platforming, and it's great. With the exception of the black bars on the sides of the screen in pre-rendered cutscenes, this is a great port of some great PlayStation 2 classics, granted, the PS Vita isn't the best place to experience them for the first time, if you've already played it and are looking to revisit the early games, then this is a trilogy you mustn't miss out on. For the sake of good Vita ports, please, buy this game.

I was browsing the App store and noticed this game, I played the original and loved it so decided "why not try the sequel?" and I'm happy to say it far exceeded my expectations. The controls work surprisingly well for an iOS game, it's incredibly fun, and definitely worth 99c. If you haven't yet, I definitely recommend buying this amazing title!

71? 71?! This game deserves a much, MUCH higher score than 71! As someone that heard of the PSP original, but never got to play it, I was really looking forward to this, and boy I wasn't disappointed, it's an outstanding puzzle game with a brilliant new mechanic that is not only incredibly original, but so geniously crafted into the levels that it makes it a must-play for anyone with a PSP or 3DS.

Only Electronic Arts could make such a horrible, awful cash-grab. I just can't believe how anyone could let this game be released... But it's EA, so what do you expect?

No reviews?! Seriously?! This game is brilliant, not just for a licensed game, but a kart racer in general. It gets so many things right, from the powerups to the gameplay, its just brilliant.

Killzone: Mercenary9

One of the most acclaimed shooters on Playstation is back! But this time it's on a portable system, how will that do? Spoiler: It's awesome. The Vita is the only portable console with 2 sticks, which makes it a fabulous system for shooters, topped off with the Vitas hardware capabilities, and you can get a console-like-experience. This however, is the first shooter on the Vita that is actually good, actually, not just good, amazing. It looks like a console game (the game runs on the same engine as Killzone 3) which is just gorgeous, stunning and beautiful. If you own a Vita and love shooters, hey, if you like shooters, this is a must-have, along with Tearaway ;)

Saints Row: The Third - The Trouble with Clones5

Just before I get started, don't buy this, just don't even think about it. The cutscenes made using the in-game engine are some of the worst I've ever seen. The missions themselves are nothing special with the exception of the bee gun (I forgot the name of the gun, much like you'll forget the generic missions in this DLC) which allows you to shoot bees at people. This just feels like an attempt to get into the wallets of people who thought Johnny Gat was awesome. Which I really couldn't care less about, along with many others. I'm going to finish this review the way I started it, by saying that you shouldn't get this. Don't get this.

Remember Grand Theft Auto San Andreas on the Playstation 2 (or Xbox)? This is that, but it's on the Xbox 360 PS3 and PC, and hilarious quirkyness thrown in. That's a good thing. A REALLY good thing. It doesn't throw in to much humour either so it doesn't feel like one big joke (unlike one of the later games in the series) if you don't have this game, you need it, get it. Get it. GET IT. GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITT.

I heard incredibly great things about this game. I only have a Vita (my PS3 broke) so I decided to get the trial version, the first few seconds had me sold, then... what happened? Gimmicky controls happened. You can use motion controls, I however only used touch controls, which are really tricky to get used to. I still guessed the controls 45 minutes in. I'm still not exactly sure of the controls. But overall, once I got past the controls, I was having a great experience.

This is one of the best platformers of this generation. Period. The create mode is fleshed out, fun and works well in a 2.5D environment, as in 3D the controls for putting materials etc are absolutely horrendous, ModNation Racers proved that. The story mode is great too, so if you can't create and are also offline, not to worry LBPs story mode has you covered. If the create mode didn't exist, this would still earn an 8, minimum. Bottom line: If you don't have it, you're an idiot, if you do have it, you're awesome.

LittleBigPlanet 2: Toy Story7

This is a good DLC, good, not great, sure you get some materials, stickers etc. (granted, some of the materials are pretty useful in create mode unlike some other materials in other packs) the level design is pretty good, it's just too short. I'm not just complaining about this DLC though, most of the level packs on LBP are just too short. I want this to change, it's just a bit of a disappointment compared to such an infinitely giant LBP community, it's so tiny.

Rayman Legends10
Dec 7, 2013
I really wasn't expecting this to be this awesome, but it just is, The touch screen controls are awesome, responsive and just great, the amount of levels is pretty good, and the fact it includes the best levels of Rayman Origins, really makes it worth it. People have complained it was so obviously made for Wii U is pretty correct, but the touch controls are also on the Vita version, not just Wii U. While it was missing the "invasion levels" the console version had, they were added in a patch quite recently. This is an awesome game, you need to get it. Now. Why are you still reading this when you could be playing one of the best games of the year?

This game is absolutely phenomenal. A simple yet really good (for a platformer) story, with amazing uses of the features on the Vita, more importantly without feeling gimmicky but instead charming, awesome level design. Oh, and the ending (I won't spoil it) is one of the most amazing I have ever experienced. From the creators of the infinitely fun LittleBiGPlanet, bring you one of the greatest games on the Vita, the astounding, short but long enough that it can tell it's story incredibly well, non-gimmicky vibrant papery world that is, Tearaway
