Generally confused as to why somebody thought it would be a good idea to start a sequel this way. Then forcing me to play through the second half is wild to me (won’t spoil). This game deserved better, the fans deserved better.
I can not explain how tedious the Joy mechanic is in this game. The first thing I noticed was how fast my joy meter was dwindling, the second was how fast your overdose meter fills up, making the entire game be almost unplayable because of how many times I had to go and throw up. Almost threw up in real life.
Forcing always online in 2026 is crazy. The game is only a shell of what it once was and the vehicles take ages to level up. You must level up every single car to unlock things. Save yourself some headaches please.
Was expecting more with all the glorifying reviews but honestly this is not even one of the better cozy games. I enjoyed my time with it but it is not a mist have switch 2 game. The story felt like it was made for five year olds and while I understand some people are okay with that for me it is just mediocre. The game didn’t do much to evolve the cozy formula, though, the internet will have you thinking it will be GOTY. It’s not bad but it’s not amazing. Just okay.
Amazing level design from beginning to end with cappy transforming Mario into so many different things. The story is still a little unfavorable but that isn’t the star of the show here.
This was a great game from start to finish and I can only praise the level design and the collectibles in each area. It felt like just the right amount of things to do but the story felt a little underwhelming compared to the gameplay and atmosphere.
The way the world opens up and delivers secrets and areas to you as you progress is masterfully executed. The abilities change the way the game sees you which makes this a replayable classic.
I would give it a zero but at the very least this abomination **** is polished. The story is as easy as inserting blocks in the corresponding shape, the side quests are as engaging as answering a toddlers questions over and over, and the DLC is honestly just disrespectful and laughable. Do not buy.
Improved on dying light 2 and even on the first one as well. Much harder at the start but it requires leveling up to actually become strong enough to challenge the rest of the world.
Go through the whole game for there not to be a post game. Just loops you back to the final fight. Feel like I wasted my time with this in a way I haven't felt before.
Open world is added for no reason. The same P switch missions are reused over and over, collecting peach coins, and no sort of story path to follow in this open world make it useless. Just added to raise the price to $80 US. Not going to act like this game is revolutionary, the truth is it is very disappointing and after 12 hours with it it seems I have done all there is aside from playing online. The game does work well though, and I did not experience any glitches but that alone will not save this game for me.
