A welcome step back in the right direction, great sound design, puzzles are much more in keeping with a SH game, atmosphere is great, theme is correct. I would take this a million times over SHf which imo was nothing like a SH game.

Gaming needs more creativity like this. Not afraid to push the envelope, be weird, catch you off guard. Reanimal captures the feeling of long lost fantastic games like ICO, a time where game developers put care beauty and craftmanship into their projects. Whilst it was short, it was a breath of fresh air in a time where games are falling into a bucket of woke hand holding slop.

This is not the Silent Hill we love, wanted or remember. It once again misses the mark in every department. How, when you have such an amazing foundation for a series with so many opportunity's to make something brilliant does it always end up being so poor. Terrible combat, stupid looking enemies, gore, lack of depth, lack of atmosphere, lack of setting, lack of anything silent hill related. Its on par with downpour and homecoming, hell i might even give those entries a higher place than this. This should never have been given the name silent hill. Give it a standalone title name, noone would complain. The only saving grace is the sound design by Akira. Find team silent and let them make another before this series is gone forever. You need Sato and the brilliant minds who put their soul into those games. This is an insult to those who have a passion for the original 4 games. Utterly disappointing.

This is NOT what fans of Silent hill want. Focus on what made 1-4 so fantastic and stick to the gameplan.

Simply put. A masterpiece **** in metaphor. Silent Hill 2 is an all time classic and an unforgettable title.

To say that Bloober Team did a great job would be an understatement. As a Silent hill OG and huge fan since its inception..i can say Bloober did an absolutely incredible job. It captures and enhances every aspect of the original without a stone unturned. To remake and get right a game like SH2 is such a huge undertaking that many believed it would not be possible. The task was a huge yet delicate. Fans of the original are some of the most picky and protective gamers out there and the original game has been picked apart and analysed for the last 20+ years. The remake has been meticulously and methodically crafted with a stunning attention to detail and loving care and accuracy to the source material. Its time for a new generation to appreciate this masterpiece and pick apart the symbolism just as we did 20+ years ago, and for all the older generation the remake is a dream come true. It's not better that the original, but then it doesn't try to be. It respectively pays homage.

The N64 Masterwork. From start to finish is an all time classic. Very few games can compete with it. The best in the series by an astronomical mile. Music, story, atmosphere and adventure at it's finest. It has a feeling all of it's own that just cannot be replicated.
