First things first: know how it is I would pay between 10-15€ to play this. If you don’t have time to play just play the Pathless, much much better game. If you enjoy the genre and have time play Solar Ash, knowing that this is game is definitely not perfect. it doesn’t control well while traversing the world at times. The character doesn’t do what you want it to do on some ramps, also some guiding orbs that are supposed to be collected while skating are placed a bit oddly, and you end up missing them by just a hair, which can be frustrating. Dying feels like a pretty unremarkable event, you just start from a very close previous checkpoint. And when the checkpoint is not close to the moment you die it feels very annoying to do the sequence and recollect orbs over again. Overall checkpoints are not placed well most of the time, they either feel too forgiving or too annoying. It also suffers from repetitiveness in the first half, but the second half improves in each new area you discover with new obstacles during exploration which you need to be mindful of, more variety in landscapes and more visually impressive bosses. Secondary missions are unfortunately pretty uninteresting. But if you stick to the main game I believe you will appreciate it, despite its very visible defects. Boss fights have an epic feel to it, with massive monsters and the character controls well during battle. Exploration feels meaningful, rewarding you with parts of new suits with individual special powers and orbs to upgrade your health, which feels very useful in battle, sometimes you really don’t want to die again, and you have very few hit points. The plot is told in a very dull way up until the end. The character’s thoughts are worded in a cheesy uninspired way. But the story is essentially interesting, it’s just not conveyed in an optimal way. The ending is pretty satisfying with regard to the plot. Everything is unveiled and the implications behind the final choice can be interesting to dive into in your own moments after the game wraps up. If you are wondering you can just reload easily from just before the point of no return and explore the whole world thoroughly or experience the alternative ending without having to replay the whole game. This game is objectively a 7, but I give it an 8 of encouragement, with a bit more refinement it would have been an impressive 8.

Waste of money. Performance problems, rushed ending and that attitude of “if you don’t like me you don’t understand me”. Avoid at all costs

10/10 on everything but the story, mathematical result is an 8, if you consider 5 parameters (story, gameplay, audio, graphics and technical compartment). Gameplay is top class, it makes you feel like you can do exactly what you are thinking to do, very fluid. AI is the best I’ve ever seen and exiting and reentering stealth in a way that actually makes sense feels so great I can’t even describe it. Audio is great, it makes a great addition to gameplay with audio indicators, also good use of the uditive environment. Great musics. Graphics do not need to be addressed, just look at it, it’s the best we’ll ever see on ps4. Very few bugs I have encountered and mostly visual, did not compromise gameplay, everything is very smooth and polished, I don’t think this is a surprise by ND. Story is a bad 4/10 or better a 3/10, and story is very important in this kind of games. I get the protesting with the zeroes and I think it is well deserved, especially after all the fake 10s the video games journalists have given. I can understand some people giving 10, but there should have been some 8s at least. I don’t know if journalists are paid by developers or if they don’t have the balls to say that a game’s story is bad and not interesting even if it is expected to be great. Or worse, are they scared to say that a story is bad even if it’s sprinkled with LGBTQ+ elements? By the way making a **** story does not make those important social problems a good service

Great game. Offers a main campaign with challenging segments and boss battles, fun exploration and scary moments well placed in an overall creepy atmosphere. “Not a Hero” and “End of Zoe” Free DLC offer some extra hours of main story, with different combat styles to be learnt and new environments to explore, giving more of the same and a different type of gameplay at the same time. All the story related modes have replay value with the top difficulty modes, changing object and trap placements, ammo availability and enemy strength and speed. Banned footage DLC is made up of two very short story modes, a call of duty zombies like mode, a reasoning based card game and the two core modes “Ethan must die” and “Jacks 55th birthday, which are just great, fun and fast gameplay modes with a lot of replay value. **** speed. and short
