NHRA Championship Drag Racing: Speed For All7
Oct 16, 2024
On sale for 7.99$ for the ultimate edition. I thought how bad could this game be. Before buying this. I played street outlaws 2 winner takes all and I thought it was cheap harmless fun. So I thought since the same company that made outlaws 2. this game either had to be just as good or better. Well. They messed up. The tutorial is not even good because your first race. You’ll either keep crashing into the side or lose really bad to the cpu. This will go on for an hour or two depending on how much patience you have. You’ll practically write the game off and most likely think you wasted 7.99$. I stepped away from the game for an hour or two and came back and gave it another chance. I learned that in order to not crash into the wall or stand a chance against the cpu. You had to roll forward. Then hold in both the throttle and break at the same time. As soon as the tires heat up to 175. Let go of the breaks or tap the breaks to 210. Soon the heat from your tires will start cooling down. now the main part. You’ll inch up to the line. Press the break and push the throttle down together. As soon as the green light comes on. Let off the break no viola. You’ll most likely win the race. That’s how it’s done. The game doesn’t really teach you that thr sweet spot for not wiping out or blowing your tires or them being to cold is letting off the gas at 175. Most people will give up cause they won’t bother trying to find the sweet spot. Anyways. After I figured it out. The game is actually fun and decent. Now the people that bought this game full price. Ohhhh do I feel bad for ya. For 7.99$. Sure. It’s good and fun once you get past the steep learning curve because it isn’t easy until you follow my advice. Anyways. If you’re on a fence about this **** 7.99$. I like it.

Jump Force9
Dec 20, 2020
This is either the type of game you love or the type of game you hate, if you’ve played any of the dragonball Z 3D fighters throughout the years. Then you know what to expect. Let’s just say this isn’t the most balanced fighter out there as a lot of these licensed anime games seem to be more fan service then anything else. They aren’t deep but that’s what makes them so fun as it’s pretty pick up and play. You can mash your buttons and the game makes you look stellar like your some kinda fighting game pro. Don’t get me wrong though. Sure you can spam a lot of moves over and over and win like that but if you try that against a pro. You’ll get wrecked in a heartbeat. Mind nobody plays fighting games like these competitively. It’s all about using your favorite anime characters and getting to play as them. When I first tried jump force. I really thought it was all graphics and no real gameplay. Sure the games pretty and runs great. But the gameplay has to be decent and fun. The good news ****’s a blast. The only minus I can give this game is that’s it’s not very hard to learn everything in the first few hours. The combos and the battle system is barebones as it gets but that’s ok though because I have a little boy that thinks this game is insane and fun and doesn’t take a lot to learn it’s ways. Long story short. If you love the anime universe and the more popular characters from the shows and books. Then you may want to try this game because I’d say you’ll get enjoyment out of it. I’m not a fanboy and could care less about the anime or manga universe and I still have a riot playing this game. If your looking for gameplay like Tekken or street fighter. Don’t get this game. It won’t be deep enough for you. But there’s like 3 or 4 other games on the Xbox and Sony systems that is pretty much the same fighting system as this one so if you enjoyed those ones. Then buy this because really fun.

Slay the Spire1
Apr 3, 2020
I’ve been hearing that slay the spire was such an awesome game. Whenever people ask what’s a good game to buy these days..I always see a few people mention slay the spire. So to my excitement when this became available for Game Pass...I thought **** let’s see what all the fuss is about. Good lord this game ****. I gave it a good chance and it’s just so boring. Maybe the nerds are trying to be edgy or whatever by thinking gameplay over graphics because let’s just say there is no animation to your attacks. It’s use your card and it does it’s damage or blocking and that’s it. So you ****’s all about strategy and it’s ****..this game **** and whoever says it’s great is full of bleep. The game was boring and not fun at all... I gave it a two because it’s a game that would be suited for mobile or the Nintendo switch as it’s pretty pick up and play only if your beyond bored...

WWI: Verdun - Western Front2
Mar 13, 2020
This game is an abomination. When people complain about call of duty or the battlefield series and say how bad they are. Try Verdun and then see if you change your mind. Maybe this game was great on PC because I see how people even on the Xbox and ps4 Metacritic are saying it’s a great game maybe hoping for bug fixes or to smooth it out but wow..this game is really bad. It was on one of those free play weekends so I didn’t have nothing to lose trying it. I went on optimistic. How hard is it these days to make a FPS game especially in the world war era. Apparently this must be a new company who have no optimization skills because not only is the gameplay choppy but the game is a hot mess. It’s like they just put it on console and hoped for the best or maybe fool people into a few sales. Well they won’t get my money..what a bad game. Next time I think the call of duty or battlefield series are **** remember Verdun and thank god im playing quality.

****’s get things straight, soccer is such a bore to watch or even play. In North America we call it the poor mans sport because to play hockey or football, it costs some decent Money for gear which leaves soccer and basketball. all you need is just a ball and that’s it. Soccer is the only sport that turns men into chicks because if you look at your opponent the wrong way..they fall and you may get a yellow card. If you put your hand on them at all or they make a mistake of falling themselves..ohhh ****’s hurt. When it’s just them playing all girly. Soccer is pretty dumb **** then there’s games like Mario strikers charged or fifa street that actually make such a stupid sport so dam fun. I seen red card 2003 on a let’s play and it looked awesome...full contact **** way..this should be pretty awesome..turned out it was really a kick butt game. The gameplay is truly fun because **** doesn’t like drop kicking a player into the shadow realm and not getting penalized for it. It’s all out crazy and fun. These kinds of games though don’t make that great of profit because the sim loser chicks say..this makes soccer **** is that so you eurotrash fools. No wonder why the announcers go crazy when the offensive team almost scores because it may not happen the rest of the ****’s so **** if soccer was like red **** can believe the real lads of the universe..North Americans would watch it. Buy this game.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid9
Jan 24, 2020
This is quite the surprise to me with how well this game truly is. I’ll be honest..I wasn’t expecting much so the bar wasn’t set high. Most games like this are just cash grabs with a popular franchise name behind it. Most power rangers games were pretty bad or just plain mediocre. I was going on a trip to Ukraine and I needed something to play while I was in the airport lounges **** back some beers to pass the time. I seen power rangers battle for the grid and thought..what a stupid name. Then I read that it was a fighting game and I watched a few videos and it looked actually pretty good. It reminded me of dragonball fighters Z and I absolutely loved that game. I took a chance and bought it. After it downloaded. It seemed pretty barebones game mode wise. I don’t even think it had a story mode yet. Whatever..most fighting games that have story’s are pretty lame and just filler. So I was ready to play and see how it **** god...turns out that it was incredibly awesome. Don’t get me wrong because I do love me street fighter and all those more in depth fighting games but let’s get things clear. Learning one character that takes a year to fully **** has time for that. I like to just jump in and kick butt then figure out its complexity later. This fighter is pick up and play. Anyone that hates games like street fighter because it takes 50 different button combinations to pull of a decent move set and practice till they are blue in the face. This game isn’t like those. I see that some people gave this a mediocre score and they’d be wrong but everyone is in titled to their own opinion. But all in all. This game great..give it a try

It’s 2019 and this game is still amazing after all these years. Even the graphics hold up and haven’t aged bad at all. The gameplay is still smooth as ever and still is such a blast to play. This truly deserves a remaster. I can understand most time licensing gets in the way of bringing back these older sports games but this just has no name teams and stadiums. To this day if I’m having some beers with some friends. We always play this game just because it’s pick up and play easy fun and such a riot. If your looking for a real soccer experience then stay far far away..this game is all out mayhem and kick butt. If you can find a copy of this game then do yourself a favor and buy it. You will not regret it.

Breath of Fire9
Dec 16, 2019
I can only imagine the joy this brought to people who played this game back in the day. This is one of the older type of JRPGs that have the random encounter enemies every 10 to 15 seconds of moving on the map or in a dungeon but it’s all good because they do that not to slow down progression. It’s to level your characters up to the point where they try attacking you and you dodge their attempts then you hit them with one hit and they are dust in the wind. I like that sort of style because it’s just cool to see how your character is getting more and more powerful to the point where your unstoppable. I never got a chance back in the day to play the breath of fire series because I don’t think my local movie and game rental shop had this in their selection even though they had other square soft games. Most times these games age very badly because all the old school ways of playing these games refined them and took the tedium out of them. So even if this was easy to download the rom and play it...I would have just said screw it. But when I bought my Nintendo switch and did their online service..I was just trying games out that I never played before. So I finally fired up breath of fire and wow..talk about missing out on such a fun game. Like I ****’s old school but done so well. All in all, in the end you should give it a try if your just sitting around with nothing else going on. This isn’t the type of game where you only want to do it in short bursts or expect the story or gameplay to be fast and hook you immediately..I’m telling you..I have the attention span of a woman and this game captured me into its world...I loved it.

EA Sports MMA9
Dec 16, 2019
This game hits that sweet spot of fun for an MMA game. Yes I love the UFC games up to even the most recent ones but this game was so easily accessible and fun that it didn’t matter if it wasn’t all that deep. To me a game has to be fun. Sure some people love realism to the point where a game takes the rocket scientist approach to learn every little thing about the gameplay wise where you have to understand sophisticated controls and moves to play it. This game is pretty easy to pick up and play that if two people play it...then good times are had by ****’s an older game but even to this day it’s fun to put in the Xbox 360 and gave a blast

Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker1
Dec 16, 2019
This game is a mess. I read the reviews a while back and a lot of them either said stay away or it’s decent and there’s fun to be had but only for the diehards. I don’t consider myself hardcore but I like a lot of the Naruto games. This almost seemed like it was the other fighting games that Namco puts out but just puts different franchises over the same engine so I thought maybe this is like the ninja storm games. I was wrong. Not only is it simplified but it really isn’t all that engaging ****. It seems like a grind to 99 and whoever has the highest level is going to win online because they were dumb enough to grind this game out and top out. I found this structure of gameplay is really old and not new at all. It seems like micro transactions for a lot of stuff is also locked out. Long story short. This game is more of a chore to play then fun. It really dies seem like your button mashing most of the time and hoping for the best unless the opponents online are over leveled. Unfortunately I can’t recommend buying this game. If you own game pass then give it a try but in the end you’ll be glad you didn’t pay 70$ for thus garbage.

Dec 14, 2019
I have no idea why this game is getting good reviews. I’m usually one defending games that are mediocre because there’s usually a redeeming quality or maybe people just didn’t give them a chance. Well I heard awesome things about wandersong...I was going to just buy it in the switch for one of my long trips but just held off and boy am I glad..this game **** and I hate to say that. I’m really glad Microsoft put it on game pass because they saved me some coin. All you do us go around with a radial bar around you that if you press it in a certain direction the bard sings a note. So the story basically is about saving the planet and only you can sing to maybe stop the catastrophe...I played the first 3 chapters and kept wondering if the game is going to get better..where’s all this awesomeness and mind blowing experience I’ve been hearing about. I went from boring dialog to solving parts dance dance revolution style by pushing my analog stick to match what the enemies or puzzles wanted..snooze fest...maybe I’m just not deep like the neckbeards out there and only games like these make sense to them because did you ever talk to those lads with fedoras...they just go in just as **** yeah..this game gets the masterful 1 out of 10..thanks game pass for saving he money...I just didn’t get this game at all. What’s so good about it

Age of Wonders: Planetfall5
Dec 14, 2019
This game is not made for your average gamer nor is it made for anyone looking for fast paced gameplay. The tutorial was not only boring but there is way to much to take in the first few **** just forget what does what. I’m giving this game an average score because it has incredible depth for the strategy player. I loved both civilizations and XCom and after I heard this game is pretty much combined..I thought..this game is going to be **** wrong was I. I thought maybe I just wasn’t in a gaming mood when I first tried it because my wife was feeling a little frisky and I just had to attend to those matters, so I shut it down and I’d give it the proper attention in a day or **** I fired it back up and started the tutorial again. It just bored me to death. Like I said..I’ve played civilizations and xcom and absolutely loved them but this game is just way to deep for me or maybe it just kinda ****. Maybe if your an academic **** may get a lot from thus game but if your just a gamer looking for fun and a strategic experience not bogged down by whatever is wrong with this game because I just can’t point out what’s wrong with it. then move on. I’m glad this was on game pass because I really was going to go in blind and purchase this because I how could you go wrong with a hybrid game that mixes xcom and civilizations. Also it got really good reviews but I think maybe the reviewers were busy with other games and tried this and just ****’s a good game and moved on...anyways..I hope others find joy in this game because I kinda thought it **** and I gave it a chance.

Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels8
Dec 13, 2019
This game got a lot of mixed reviews. It’s either you love it or hate it. I don’t have the nostalgic love for this game like many do but I missed out on it back in the day because the Wii had such a huge selection of games that sometimes these Star Wars games are just cash grabs and the license is put to bad use. But lightsaber duels is pretty awesome. Its basically a fighting game but it’s really pick up and play and quite the joy to fire up when you have your casual gaming friends over. It’s not overly simple and it does have decent depth to it but truly anyone can have a good time with it and it doesn’t take forever to learn the controls which is a turn off to a lot if people these days. The single player portion is just getting to know how to play the game. The story is from the clone wars cartoon which if your a fan of Star Wars then you know what’s going on. But it’s called lightsaber duels for a reason and that’s the multiplayer part which really makes it so awesome. It’s not a very hard game to find in pawn shops or amazon for cheap...I bought my copy for 3$ so if you want a good multiplayer game. Pick it ****’s truly a good time.

Madden NFL 099
Dec 12, 2019
I absolutely love this game. The EA All-Play series are truly wicked awesome. Sure they made it easier and more accessible to people who love sports but don’t want to be bothered with the depth of gameplay almost as deep as something like a capcom fighting game or two many things to just make one play or defend. Sure I own the most recent madden and it’s also really a great game. But I have friends who are casual and don’t play a lot of video games as much as someone hardcore so if it’s a night of drinking or a get together...pull out an all-play title and watch the fireworks explode. Everyone will be having a great time and not complaining like you have some advantage of owning the game and know some secrets. Sure you can play without the all-play controls but I find it’s just to much fun. Most times I play the 5vs5 mode and it’s just basically arcade football but is it ever fast paced and a good laugh. If your looking for a more easier going but fast paced arcade football experience that anyone can learn fast. Pick this one up. I know this came out in 2009 and it’s almost 2020 now but that makes it even better as it’s pretty much timeless and awesome.

NHL Slapshot9
Dec 12, 2019
I owned this game way back in the past and I had remembered how fun it was. But I sold my Nintendo Wii and I traded this game in as well and never looked back. I had bought a Wii U but it sat in storage for almost 5 years in Calgary because I was hoping to move back there someday thinking the oil and gas bust was temporary but it never did improve out **** days of money growing on trees was done out there. After the storage company kept raising prices on me thinking I’m never going to return and it was free money for them. I finally went and got all my **** soon as I hooked up my Wii U..I remembered that you could play Wii games and thought I’d pick up a few at the pawn shop. I was browsing their 1$ selection(yes..that’s right 1$ selection) and what do you know..there it was..wayne Gretzky’s nhl slapshot. Even though some sports games like NHL number titles are just updated rosters with very little gameplay difference..some titles feel like experimental titles and this was the case for this game. I find it’s more arcade and fast paced And not bogged down by simulation like other titles. A game has to be fun. This game is incredibly fun because it’s pick up and play and the gameplay and graphics still are great to this day. Sure I own all the latest nhl titles and threes and ones are a blast to play with friends. But when it comes to beer or whatever..games like nhl hitz 2003, nhl arcade, and nhl slapshot..these games get more playtime just because they are fun and competitive. I’ll be honest..realistic games aren’t fun to me. I recently downloaded dirt 2.0 and my god,..what a nightmare.,sure if your a simulation freak then go right ahead..I found it boring and no fun..I don’t like where it takes weeks or months just to understand the depth **** I don’t want to shallow either but like I was **** you want a great arcade sports title to fit in your Wii library..pick this one up..I think you’ll enjoy it.

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition10
Nov 19, 2019
Now this is a metroidvania game done right. I played a lot of games of this sort through all the years and this is the perfect balance. Everyone is crazy about Celeste but to be honest. Sure if you have literally no life and can sit around all day trying to progress through just one part and after trying the same section over and over and over only to finally get that A-ha moment...where at last you made it to the next section and Then ahhhh **** we go **** same advanced hardcore kinda section that you just say...yeah...that’s enough for the day. then more power to ya but some of us fools don’t have that sort of time. Video games are meant to be an escape and enjoyment. But ori and the blind forest is such a treat. It holds your hand but at the same time it doesn’t. There were times where I couldn’t figure out where to go next or how to get to this or that part. But the best part is where if you grind enough enemies that keep respawning ..you can unlock your skills and it makes getting around those parts way easier which it should be like that so you don’t quit the game. There’s nothing worse then playing a metroidvania game where you don’t know what to do next and just quit because you literally went everywhere. The platforming and levels are designed so well that once you get a lot of skills unlocked it gets crazy what you can do but feel like a pro just getting around. I love that you venture back to old places and ****..I remember this **** **** but not no more because I am powerful now. **** story is very touching and wonderful. These developers knocked this game out of the park. I loved it.

I never got to play the original on the gameboy but after hearing about this game and doing a little research. A lot of people seemed to praise and treasure it as a really great game as well as a hidden gem. I like these quick burst short session arcade type games that are pick up and play. You can just mess around and you figure out things fast. It’s basically dodgeball except you and the opponent toss balls at each other and try to either hit them and stun them which takes off minor health and wear them down that way or stun them and throw all your balls to their side which is basically a super attack that pretty much wipes them out because all the balls on their side instantly attack. It’s pretty wild and heard to describe. Plus you have special moves which fill up and you can use to pulverize the opponent. It’s a really fast paced game and it truly shines in multiplayer. Just grab some beers with some pals and let things roll because I guarantee you friends will have a good time. Even though I missed out on this game from the past and it’s basically a remaster but wow...nothing better then the present. It’s not an expensive game. I seen it at Walmart in the 10$ bin but truly worth the full price I bought it for.

Blair Witch1
Nov 15, 2019
If this game was made with the soul purpose of being boring then this game succeeded. I hate to delete games without finishing them but playing this was such a chore. When one of the achievements is walking 100 miles. It gave me the fear thinking..what if the next achievement is 200 miles because literally that’s all you do in this game. You walk and walk...maybe it was suppose to scare you thinking that..I’m truly lost on the woods darkness, etc...I was wanting something bad to happen to at least perk things up but nothing was happening but walk and walk and oh wait....a chocolate bar **** this going to help me...nope... The dog bullet is the worlds most useless dog. I know now why they gave the reprimand command because as much as I love dogs.,this dog was pretty foolish. It just never got better the more I spent my time in the woods...I really was waiting for the jump scares or getting freaked out. But **** just made me so freaking bored. I read there are glitches in the game where you can get stuck or it takes a bit for the world to render giving you the direction your suppose to go **** holy that would **** if I was just playing and not noticing the game was glitching and stuck at the same part. Anyways...Blair witch was a fail to me. It was boring and I really gave it a chance but it kinda **** really bad. I see people gave it a ten but it had to be the developers or someone who thinks they are edgy and evolved and I just don’t get what the fame was **** just was boring.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed10
Sep 7, 2019
Now this is a racing game done right. Arcade fun times 1000. You’ll get the snotty people on here saying Mario kart will always be king when it comes to this genre but to be honest...just coming back and playing this game even after playing Mario kart 8...I’d go out even on a limb to say this game beats it. I find it’s fast and fun. One thing I didn’t ever like about the Mario kart series is the cheap CPU. Everyone that ever played Mario kart knows all about the blue shell or when your just at the finish line you get nailed by the computer and end up in last **** basically you just wasted the whole race only to come in last even though you killed it all the way through..that ain’t fun at all..I found sonic racing gets the balance right when it comes to CPU difficulty. It’s tough but fair...Mario is tough and cheap but it’s still an awesome **** everyone may say that multiplayer is where it’s at and I’d say they both are solid **** it’s a kart game and comparisons will be made..I absolutely love the Mario kart series but when it comes to more fun and exciting and when I’m winning..I win...I deserve to **** like Mario kart where if I’m winning the whole **** it takes is the CPU to hit mega rubber banding and get all the power ups to kill me at the finish line. The gameplay is great in sonic allstars plus mega **** soundtrack is ****’s a great game and even though it’s ****’s one of the few games that still lasts the test of time. Pick it up.

Super Mario Maker10
Aug 29, 2019
Call me crazy but I have no idea why this game gets a lot hate. I truly am enjoying it. But I wasn’t spoiled by super Mario maker for the Wii U. I never got around to playing it as I was in Ukraine partying with my hot babe back in the day and money was going on plane tickets and living it up. But enough talk about that..I’m reviewing this game and it’s a joy to play. I love the random 100 Mario challenge. It’s like a new game every time I fire this mother up to play. There’s always something new to have a good time with. Yes I do own Mario maker 2 for the switch and yes it’s truly superior giving the facts that it’s the latest one so it pretty much makes it automatically superior but still if I’m just chilling in bed and looking for some platforming fun and I don’t want to take a risk falling a sleep and waking up in the morning to my Nintendo switch in pieces because it fell off my bed..then the 3ds version does the trick. I’m not much in to building and designing levels because that’s what the nerds are ****’s not an ****’s the truth..there’s some really genius level designs and I think wow..there’s some really creative people out ****..well..I’d rather have some beer, smoke my vape and chill while playing some random creations that may or may not be crazy. Either way..I love this game. It’s always something different and isn’t that what we want out if a plat-former is diversity that makes you ****..what cool level that was or pull your hair out thinking,.this level is for sadists and **** all in ****’t listen to these snotty little fools saying Mario maker for the 3ds is garbage...I’m not fussy or picky but I do know a fun and enjoyable game when I play one. It’s not expensive these days to pick it up. If you got a switch then **** for that one but if you have both the 3ds and the switch then get both...awesome

Fantasy Strike10
Aug 27, 2019
This is one of those games that got decent hype before release and you go in ****’s out now..time to see if it’s good and it sorta ends up disappointing at first. I tried it a few times and from what everyone was saying how it’s accessible yet deep it was, i ****’s not that good. Sure street fighter is a game that you really have to understand not only the game mechanics but being an input master at a joystick is paramount. It’s truly rewarding but you pretty much master one character and that’s it. Sure you might know how to use the other characters but you most likely won’t get their full potential unleashed unless you really dedicate a lot of time to understand how they work. Fantasy strike was suppose to eliminate all the need to know so much stuff to have a good time yet be deep enough for someone looking to get more from this genre. Like I said..when I first tried **** felt barebones. It was like smash brothers, tekken and street fighter rolled into one but with far less depth. I played it for a bit to give it a chance because it wasn’t winning me over. Finally I just thought,.blah..I wasted money on this. So it got lost in the shuffle. It wasn’t until a few days ago I thought..ohhh..this **** I turned it on and to be **** clicked..what I thought was mediocre turned out to be truly ****’s real magic kicks in when you play multiplayer. The mind games you can play on the other person is a blast..after you win you literally have the shakes because the matches are close a lot of times. I’m still getting good at this but it’s not a lifetime of learning as it really is accessible but decently deep. Give it a try or wait for a sale and then pick it up. The roster isn’t huge but big enough for variety and hey..most times the majority of fighting games get broke in the process of adding to many fighters because the balance gets way off. Heck even fighting games just clone moves but just swap out the character art but add maybe something to make them different like this guy shoots a fireball but the other guy throws a hammer but the rest of their moves are the same..woah..a lot of work went into that. But the worst part **** guy may have two extra frames which makes him more better or cheap. Anyways...fantasy strike really does get things right. I actually love it.

I love trying new games and when it comes to metroidvania games..count me in. So one of the huge benefits of game pass is that you get to try games that normally you’d wait to see if they become free with games with gold but this one came to game pass so I ****..could be cool. **** was pretty bad. Unless your truly desperate for a single player metroidvania type of game then get this one. It’s not that it’s difficulty is all that bad but I just found it very bland and blah. Sure the old school graphics have its charm but there is a lot more games of this genre that are far more better. But back to difficulty..I found if the controls of the gameplay doesn’t match a difficult game then it truly makes it more of a bore then fun. Games like Celeste are spot on difficult but the precision of control is amazing even if it’s hard as hell..this game tries that middle ground of hard yet not to bad. But I just wasn’t having fun. Even if this game was out in the 80s. I don’t think I would have enjoyed it back then as well. Some people enjoyed this and I did watch the walkthroughs and the more I watched I **** looks like the difficulty ramps up to kinda dumb. Yes...I know games are suppose to get harder but to the point of getting cheap and you have to keep hoping you get **** live in the year 2019..these flaws cannot be overlooked **** give it a **** may like it more then I did...I played it for an hour or so and then uninstalled it. Just didn’t pull me in.

It’s a pretty good game only if you went the game pass route because you had nothing to lose from trying it. I played it for a bit and the gameplay is solid, the graphics are easy on the eyes and it’s basically a dungeon **** why only the 7 out of 10. I like difficulty but it has to be entertaining. This game ramps up the hard fast. I like that you can level up your stats like for instance..stun your enemies or quite a few other perks but it didn’t really hold my attention after a bit. It’s like a twin stick shooter but the enemies are just weird looking monsters. Like I ****’s good but there’s better out there. The multiplayer is **** level someone just comes in and randomly helps you but it doesn’t lower your monster count to finish the level unless it glitched. Your henchmen or echos as they call them are pretty useless. I find they don’t do all that much in terms of helping. But it’s **** **** may like it.

I had a lot of fun playing this game. Sure it wasn’t the most difficult at all but that’s it’s charm. If I was looking to play this with anyone to young to understand the mechanics of diablo 3 or any other dungeon crawler then this is perfect. If you die then you don’t have to start all over. There’s no penalty for dying. You get an objective every level and do it and move on. Pretty simple and straightforward. If achievements or trophies are your thing. Then it’s pretty easy to blaze through this game and get them fast. The difficulty might turn off the hardcores but with a name like riverbond..what did you expect. I got it for free on Xbox gamepass so it didn’t hurt me to try it and it was fun. Is it the type of game you buy. Depends. If you have kids, a girlfriend or wife then ****’s pretty pick up and play. But if you’ve played roguelikes or harder dungeon crawlers then you might want to stray away from this one but if you got gamepass then give it a try.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition10

I can see why people have bought this game numerous times. It’s a timeless classic and has aged pretty good. Sure there’s the odd glitch or bug but most times it’s just something entertaining that happens every now and again but people go on that it’s so bugged filled that it’s not worth playing...ohhhh yes it is. There is just so much to do in the land of Skyrim and so much to explore and don’t get me going on about how many quests and things are to do. You could be just doing your own thing and bam..instant quest out of nowhere or in the middle of one already..I love it. But the real main draw here is it’s now Skyrim portable. People have beaten this game over and over just because it’s that great ****. Sure there’s Zelda breath of the wild but Skyrim can just pass hours after hours when you finally realize that your battery us about to die. But yes..double dip..this game rocks.

After having played super volley blast which was their previous game which I absolutely loved. I ****’s the same art style which isn’t going to win any awards but what it lacks in looks is made up by fun gameplay which is what is all that matters in the long run. Well it’s safe to say that this game is a good time. Sure I wish it had online but **** you have a few friends and it’s a weekend and some beers and put this on..your all bound to get in competitive mode as it’s easy for anyone to jump in and have be just as good as you. Sure there’s a lot of good multiplayer games out there but sometimes they aren’t user friendly as it takes them a bit to get the hang of things which most times they quit because you beat them easily. But this game is pretty easy to learn and pick up and play. I’d recommend this game if you have friends. The single player modes are pretty decent as well as the mini games but they are just small distractions but nice to be included. Awesome game. Hopefully they make a arcade soccer, hockey, baseball or football next. This little company is on a roll.

FIFA 158

I’m going to be honest. I’m having a good time with this game. Sure it’s not the prettiest game out there nor is the frame rate blazing but what you get is a fun portable game of fifa. Now I think soccer ****. It’s boring to watch and that just enforces my beliefs that Europeans have horrible taste in sports. You can literally watch a game and most times they are lucky to even score a goal and the crowd goes wild if there team hits a post and that’s the highlight of the game. No wonder why they need drunk announcers to spice up the commentary because truth be told the sport is a snooze fest. But I do love me arcade soccer games and fifa is a mix between soccer and sim. I’ve played a lot of fifa games on the consoles so I seen fifa 15 for the 3ds and thought..hmmm..I’ll check the reviews to see if it’s pretty cool or not. Well...this is Metacritic so if your companies name is EA then chances are people will instantly pull out the pitch forks and declare the game **** with either most times saying it is terrible or the same as last year but updated rosters. Well..just buy the new game ya cheap baby’s. How much can a company really do with the 3ds for sports games. Imagine working on the consoles with better hardware and then the boss says..yeah..make a 3ds version ****’s like going from a hot girlfriend to a beast from the east. Your going to have a bad time. I went into this game fully knowing it wasn’t going to blow me away graphically but as long as the gameplay was fun then that’s always cool with me. So I played a few games and I can say the game is fun. It’s not deep and anyone can pick up and play it. The camera has to be tweaked because the default is too close. There’s also touchscreen shots where instead of using the button the bottom 3ds screen switches to a net and you just press the screen for a short second for the power and let go..either it goes in or ya miss. Most times it goes in. Actually it’s my preferred method compared to the buttons. The game is from 2015 and it’s almost 2020 so your getting an older outdated roster but whatever. Then you have the game mode which I absolutely love. It’s street mode. It’s basically a really watered down version of street but it’s fun and I play it a lot. It’s fast and fun and a good quick wicked experience. So do I recommend this game even though it’s older and it’s the last fifa on the Nintendo 3DS that was made. I’d say yes because there’s not many other alternatives if you need a pretty fun soccer game. Plus if you do see it. Pick it up because I looked on amazon and in my country it’s being priced in the 100$ range because collectors and just people looking to add a soccer game to their 3ds selection and it’s hard to find. But yes...I give this game an 8 out of 10. It’s fun and that’s coming from someone that doesn’t like watching soccer because it’s kinda boring. So that should tell you something. But if your a hardcore soccer fan then this game may not be for you if you’ve been pampered by the Xbox one or ps4s versions with all the bells and whistles. This is the 3ds version. Go in accordingly and you might just find this game is pretty fun.

Active Soccer 20199
May 11, 2019
I’ve always heard good things about the active soccer games as it was always said that it was arcade like and a spiritual successor to the sensible soccer series. To be honest..I thought sensible soccer ****. I tried it and maybe people just have some sort of nostalgia googles on or whatever but I just couldn’t find what was so godly about it. I could care less about rosters as I don’t watch soccer because it’s pretty boring but mind you when it comes to arcade like soccer then count me in. I was never a fan of simulation because let’s be clear...soccer is already boring to watch to begin with. No wonder why Europeans go nuts when their team scores because I’d be pretty jacked up too knowing that it might take another century to score another goal. Maybe soccer is like baseball because everyone is to lit up on booze that it makes it more fun to watch which is true because I’ve hung out with people drunk and they were a hoot but sober were a drag. Anyways...I downloaded active soccer 2019 and I thought..maybe it’s like Mario strikers charged without the power ups and crazy hijinks going on. So I fired this baby up. The graphics aren’t going to tax the Nintendo switch but before the new patch. This game chugged and struggled. But it’s good now so don’t get all worried baby’s. So it ain’t a hot looking honey but it’s what’s under the skirt that gets me going. ****’s just say the gameplay stunk at first. I played it and no matter how many times I shot the ball, it missed the net consistently. That’s one thing I never understood about soccer. They are considered pros yet the net is the size of Madonna mansion and they still miss the net a lot. I tried tapping the shoot button and finally it was on target and the goalie stopped it. I tried to pass and one timer the ball into the net but missed it from a very close distance. I thought this game is garbage. I’m not having fun at all. So I deleted it. I thought what a waste of money. So I a few weeks passed and I read they put a patch out fixing the frame rate and gameplay somewhat. So I ****..I’ll give it another go. Instead of leaving it on the slow speed..I put it to fast and wow..what a difference. It just felt better. Then it happened. I scored...then I scored again and again..sure I still missed the net every now and again or the goalie stopped it but I’m glad I gave it a second chance. It’s now clicking and I see why others have raved about it calling it fun. It truly is fun but you have to give it really a good chance. I went in thinking it was arcade fun where it’s fast and fun and high scoring crazy times. It is but it’s got a slight shot of sim infused in it as well. So do I recommend this game. Absolutely but if you find it’s no fun and pretty bad at first. Just get away from it a bit or maybe delete it and come back to it like I did. It will click. It did for me. It went from a 5 out of 10 to a 9 out of 10. Why only 9. The graphics could be better but the gameplay grows on you to the point where it’s truly fun. Would I buy it at full price. Sure but if your not a hardcore soccer fan then maybe wait for a slight price drop. But other then that. This game is pretty cool.
