I honestly really loved this game, by the time I finished the game and wrapped the story up I actually though it was a pretty refreshing take on the series, the atmosphere was great, the story was different in a good way, I personally think this game had some of the most challenging puzzles in the series, I really really enjoyed my time with this game and I’m excited to do a ng+ run, definitely a solid entry to the series

The first half of the game was great, Maybe not as scary as I would’ve liked but it was good enough, but the second half of the game, and the ng+ endings really took a hard left out and kind of ruined the game for me honestly, story is well written sure, but by the very end it didn’t have much silent hill left in it, on top of this the entire second half of the game is just action game slog, on top of doing some very goofy things that break the immersion of the game in terms of your character and the story

Fantastic game, spooky as hell, best survival horror I’ve played in a long long time
