One of the greatest war movies ever made. An unapologetic depiction of the last days of **** Germany, and the horrors committed by both sides against each other.
Truly a masterpiece of horror. Everything about this film works; the acting, setting, storytelling, and color scheme are all sublime. Wasn’t expecting much coming into the film but left feeling impressed. Only negative is that it isn’t nearly as good upon rewatch since you already know how the mystery unfolds.
Not particularly scary but a great movie with surprisingly good theology. Even though much of the movie is just two characters talking, it's nevertheless captivating to watch. Great acting all around.
This is my favorite anime movie. It is a terribly sad true story of 2 children's attempt to survive in a post war Japan. It shows the Japanese citizens' experiences in this conflict, which unfortunately has been largely ignored by the history books in the West.
Truly the most movie ever. I vividly remember losing my morginity on a replay of a twitch stream. Every second of it was true bliss. Every day since then I have re-watched Mobius and have morbed each and every single time. Long live Morbius!
This movie is good, but not great, which is disappointing for this franchise. Since this is a one off movie, none of the characters are going to have any development, and nothing too serious is going to happen that will impact the rest of the series. I like the concept of only certain characters being able to go to i-island since it's meant to be exclusive, but one by one basically the entire class one 1-A shows up. Some make sense to be there, whereas others do not. As always, seeing the interactions between the characters (with the exception of Mineta and Denki) is nice. I can't remember any themes looking back on it. Despite these flaws, it's still a good movie overall.
A phenomenal true story about Louie Zampirini. I love how it shows the brutality of the Japanese, which has unfortunately been ignored and downplayed from certain perspectives of history. It shows the strength of the men who had to endure unimaginable difficulties and came out of it legends. A truly great and historically accurate movie.
A disgusting film that sexualizes children. Even if the point of the film was to denounce the sexualization of children, it nonetheless participates in it. That would be like if I said, "In order to demonstrate why shooting puppies is bad, I will shoot a puppy."
This movie amplifies degeneracy to a disgusting extent. In no world should this be rated PG. This entire movie is just a bunch of teenagers played by fully grown adults who bully and talk bad about their peers and engage in sexual degeneracy, all without consequence. Although some of the music is pretty good, this is a must miss.
A great movie that highlights the true story of Desmond Doss, a hero who saved countless people in the war. I am glad that this story was made and Andrew Garfield, a great actor, was able to portray Doss.
This movie absolutely blew me away. A few years ago, I fell in love with SAO since I loved the premise of it, and the first arc was everything 9th grade me could have asked for. After that ended, and the next arc set in, I hated the show because of what it became. Eventually I watched the alternative and ever since I've had a love-hate relationship with this franchise. This movie has done nothing but give me hope for the direction of SAO as a whole. The animation is spectacular throughout all of the movie, Asuna is an infinitely better character than Kirito, the movie takes its time and explores the first floor and mechanics of the game thoroughly, and the boss fight is quite great. I don't believe there was a theme to this movie, and I felt like a couple of characters could have been handled better, but otherwise this movie is a masterpiece. A must watch for anyone regardless of whether they loved the anime or people who were disappointed by it.
This movie gets a bit too much hate from the critics. It's not awful but it is very much flawed. I like the premise of countries and 3 letter agencies using people with extraordinary abilities to do their bidding, but instead of watching a movie based on that, we got a movie about some rouge superhumans tracking down a suitcase. For the most part the plot makes sense, but near the end it falls apart. It could have been a disaster, and it could have been really good, but it falls into the middle of the road.
