Red Dead Redemption 210

Hands down one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. I was initially turned off by the fairly slow intro but gave the game a second chance and absolutely fell in love with the world of RDR2. While the whole game is a delight, the characters are the highlight of the game, all of them get time to develop and left me feeling truly invested in the highs and lows of each one of their stories, like no game has done before for me personally. The visuals in Red Dead are second to none too, there were countless times I would ride to the peak of a mountain to watch the sun set or rise and reckon with the fact this game really exists. With a setting this good the gameplay takes a back seat in my opinion of it, but that is still to say that the core loop is addictive and enjoyable, as simply riding around and taking in the world and meeting strangers in between the story was easily enough to keep me playing for a good 200 hours. Up there as one of the best of all time, and it isn't difficult to say.

Teardown8

Real technical marvel to create a game like teardown and still run, for the most part, smoothly and look simply beautiful. I haven't played any other game that emulates the voxel style as well as Teardown does and it makes it a visual treat to just soak in the world. The gameplay will suit everyone differently, but I found much more enjoyment in completing the story/heist missions which overall took around 20 hours. Can be frustrating at times but setting up the perfect heist and executing it to beat the timer never failed to feel satisfying. Great gameplay, great visuals, great vibes, overall highly reccomended!

Incredibly designed world that was a treat to explore and get immersed into. I personally struggled with direction and grinding on my first playthrough, but found my second playthrough to be an absolute treat once I had a broader idea of where to go and what to do. The soundtrack is a real highlight too, and perfectly compliments the atmosphere of the game to build suspense, pressure, or urgency to suit the situation. A real masterclass of open world games that excels in creating atmosphere and depth- that you dont often see in other games of the genre.

Chicory: A Colorful Tale8

Delightfully charming game, the story is on the short side but long enough to explore the various abilities you unlock for your brush. Well written and cute characters that don't waste your time but make enough of an impact to get invested in them. Incredibly music like everything else written by Lena Raine, a few really beautiful songs but an overall strong soundtrack. A wonderful game to pick up and beat over a few play sessions, strongly reccomend!
