Idk I guess it was too emotional for some people? I loved it, haven’t seen world building like that since late eighties early nineties. I must just be weird but the movies where things are happening at warp speed and amazing things are introduced and thrown away just as quickly causes me so much disconnect I generally fall asleep (i.e.modern blockbusters). I really liked the pacing and artistry. Reminded me of peak Stephen Spielberg. Also seemed beautifully relevant with the current state of class wars. Not really sure why I’m writing this, it’s my first review. I guess I just really liked this flick for some reason and I’m confused by all the hate. I.e. the Brutalist is a wonderful movie, but it’s certainly hard to watch, this movie also gave me a sense of wonder and is served with a bit of sugar like Penny the mail robot. Thank you!!! Cheers:-)
