It is fine. Way over-rated by many for some reason. The campaign is decently acted, the weapons and controls are fine, it is not buggy. If you generally like FPS then you will probably be good with this game.
Doesn’t even classify as a game. Clicker on a rail. It started out well written and promising but each subsequent chapter made it obvious there was never a vision for the project from the get to.
This incarnation of the game feels sloppy and unresponsive. The platforming that is a hallmark of the series is off and sometimes it feels like you are wearing mittens.
The first 80% of this game is fantastic, it sets an amazing and mysterious tone and provides challenging platforming sections and bosses. This world is **** however when you reach the white palace. Suddenly the game is full of moving saw blades and bouncing spikes that require literally pixel perfect platforming and millisecond timing, totally **** the immersion of the world they have built. The king lived in this palace full of his sycophants? Really? Such a crushing blow to what was an amazing game.
The single player campaign was fun, but beyond that the multiplayer experience is just awful. The "Dark Zone" as an end-game experience is terrible. Super high-level mobs mixed in with PVE...
This game looks amazing and was very fun to play... until you reach the water level. There is a clipping bug that prevents you from getting out of the water and an entire water-level. The developer is aware of the issue and will not respond to multiple requests for patches or refunds.
Unreal Tournament 2k meets Battlefield 2 meets Call of Duty Black Ops I with much updated graphics and better physics. The only reason for a lack of 10 is that I want more customizability.
The sound is awful, the maps are too large for the few players who play and seem to be predicated on camping out in a hidden spot and waiting for some fool to walk by, the customization of characters and gear load outs is overly complicated. In every way this entry is weaker than CoD Black Ops II and Modern War. Infinity Ward drops the ball again.
