Pure Pool looks good and sounds good (with nice ambient music in the background, but it can get tiresome real quick to hear the same tracks over and over again). The gameplay is kinda good, not better than WSC on the PS3 though. In fact some things are worse than the WSC series, which I played a lot on all the PS consoles. First the camera position. When you're playing you can't see all the balls on the table, there is no option to look left or right, and there is no overhead camera eather. You can push the square button to stand up and 'walk' around the table, but even then the view is not good at all. And when you go back to your aiming position, it has changed because you've been 'walking' around. It's understandable that the makers of this game don't want to make it to easy by allowing an overhead camera to aim your shot, but they could have solved that problem by allowing the use of an overhead camera only to take a look at the table without allowing you to aim your shot. Also the colors of the corner pockets are far too dark so you can't see where the holes in the far corners are very well. In my local Snooker hall the corners are made of a light colored leather, allowing a much better view (even in a dark pub). Secondly the gameplay. Taking a shot is being perfommed by using the right stick, which is fine but it makes it very hard to play softly and there is no meter to show you how hard you'll be hitting the white ball. In WSC you can use the x-button by pressing it once to see how hard you'll be hitting the white ball and twice to take the shot. You can Fine Aim by using the x-button, Apply Spin by using the circle button and lift the back of your cue up and down using the left stick. Don't try to use too much spin though or you will make the white ball fly off the table very easily, which isn't realistic at all. I used a lot more spin in snooker games in real life and the white ball almost always stayed on the table. Even if it flew of the table, it only happened when I used too much force, but in Pure Pool it happens even with moderate force and a little bit of spin on the ball. Thirdly the menus are very confusing. It's not very clear how to change certain options in the game. First you need to go to My Profile before you can go to Options. Before you can play a game you need to go to My Games and then choose a Quick Game to play online against a human player. You can also choose My League but I have no idea what that's for. Fourthly, playing online is very unfair: the game doesn't give you the opportunity to play against a player with the same skill level as you. There is no way to choose against which rank you play, for instance in my first online game I was given an opponent with World Rank 32, while I am rank 59964! And it got even worse! In the middle of the game my opponent left the game... and I lost the game! So on the Ranking List I had: Online Games: played 1, Won 0, Lost 1. I don't know if this was just a mistake in the game or a bug, but it's hardly fair is it? Setting up an online game against a human player is also very confusing. All I could find is how to play a Quick Game against a random player. You can see a list with all players (who are online.. or who have the game, I dunno?), but you can't see their World Rank next to their name so you have to click on each name to check it. And when you invite a player for a game of Pool or Snooker (since I bought the Snooker packet too), most times they don't respond. In conclusion, I would say that Pure Pool is a fun game but not the best Pool/Snooker game around. It's nice for a little game against a computer opponent (although I read in some reviews here that the level of the computer opponents gets too hard too fast), or against a friend locally. If only the camera would be placed a bit better, allowing a better view around you! Pure Pool is very cheap in the PS Store now, so if you are a fan of pool or snooker (the snooker packet costs extra) then this is a nice game to buy. But Pure Pool is definitely not better than WSC on the PS3.

Pure Chess is a nice game for chess fans, it has beautiful graphics and relaxing music: you can choose 4 music genres (Classical, Jazz, Chill, Nature). You can play the game against a computer opponent or a human opponent in the same room. After one player made a move, the board turns around for the other player, which is very handy. You can also choose to allow 'undo moves' or not and there is the possibility to use a clock (game timer, as it's called). Playing this game against online opponents is dreathfull! It's very hard to find players online willing to start a game, and once you find an opponent and you made the opening move... nothing seems to be happening. There is no option to use a clock, so you could be waiting for days or longer for your opponent to make a move! I started 3 games (there are 6 slots in total to save your games) and after making the opening moves against two opponents, they still didn't make a move after more than 30 minutes waiting. The third match didn't even start yet because my oppenent hasn't made his opening move yet. I also didn't see any option to choose which type of board and pieces to use in an online match. If the makers of Pure Chess had allowed for an option to use a clock in online games, I would have given this game a 9/10. As online games are unplayeble at the moment, I can only give it a generous 7/10.

A fun game for short bursts of deadly fun killing zombies with all kind of silly weapons that you can find allover the map. You can even combine different objects to make special weapons, like a lawnmower to cut off those ugly zombie faces! Not a game to be taken seriously, as you could expect. But fun nonetheless! It's a bonus that in this rendition of the game you can play the game without time limit (which a lot of players complained about in Dead Rising 1 and 2) and explore the environment freely. There is still the mall and outside to run around, and there is a new area added to this game. You can also join another online player's game so you can share in the fun (and revive each other when you die). The game might get a bit too repetitive and after a while you have seen all it has to offer. However, it's always nice to unwind after a hard day at work or at school, killing masses of stupid, slow zombies with anything you can get your hands on: beer bottles, computer screens, light sabers, a broad sword, a football... and you can also get clothes from the abandonned stores and dress up in a tank top and skirt, a rugby player, a cowboy, a biker... One thing that I found a bit annoying is that you have to find a toilet to save your game, and sometimes you simply have no idea where it is located. And if a zombie kills you, you have to restart at your latest save point and you loose all your progress. If you can buy this game for a low budget price and if you like silliness, I would recommend it. I wouldn't pay full price for it though,

How I would have loved to love this game, a more realistic setting (of WW1) and a more realistic and gritty feeling of war in comparison with games like COD or Battlefield. One shot mostly kills you, which is very realistic but also very frustrating because shooting the enemy sometimes doesn't seem to connect, which is especially annoying if you shoot an enemy 4 times in the chest and then get smacked by him in the face with his gun and die... not so realistic afterall! It's bugs like that which screw up this game big time! It could be that the game makes it harder to kill a high rank player, but that would make no sense also. The graphics are very basic to bad: often times I have seen dead soldiers shaking and twisting with an arm or a leg in an impossible position. It might look funny but it's just not right. The sound is also very basic, but it's good enough to create an atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in a battlefield. It can be confusing though because you think there are enemies yelling or bombs exploding in places where there is nobody at all. At times I even got confused by my own footsteps on the wooden floor in the trenches, thinking there is someone walking behind me but it was just my own foorsteps sounding way too loud. The game has a very steep learning curve and at first you will get shot time and time again by players who have been playing the game a longer time than you. I don't mind a learning curve and being killed by good players (for instance in Chivalry), but this is just frustrating as hell! Especially the campers who don't leave their spot and keep sniping other players, who try to play the game as it should be played, namely following the directions of the leader and moving from trench to trench. The NCO can call in a mortar strike, so don't be surprised when you get blown up without any warning! The map is rather small and you get a suicide kill in seconds after going a bit outside of the area, for instance if you try to go around the enemy. The map is also scattered with barbed wires, which is very easy to get stuck in and again you die in seconds, which is very annoying! There are only players active in the Frontline game mode, every other game mode has empty servers. And there are not many maps either, so after playing a few hours you might get a bit bored of it, at least I was. I read somewhere that they are making a sequel to this game and I can only hope they will make it better, because there is a good game hidden somewhere in here. Games with less players in the lobby were a lot more fun to me by the way, because you can run around a bit without being sniped or machine-gunned by campers right away. Which brings me to another problem in this game: in a full lobby it's sometimes really hard to see who is your enemy and who is a friend. And pausing the game to check the teams is also not helping, because i saw friendly players in the game which are shown as enemies in the menu and vice versa. It took me a while to find out that you can recognise your friends by pointing your gun at them and seeing their names above their heads (but ofcourse if you try doing this with an enemy, you will probably be dead by the time you checked). Luckily I bought this game for a cheap price, otherwise I would seriously have regretted spending my money on it. As it is, I go back to it now and then for a short time. Playing it more than half an hour makes my blood boil and my throat hurt from cursing and yelling at my TV!

I haven't finished this game yet because the first time I played it the game didn't save my progress, the second time I just had too much fun shooting at people and demanding them to give me their cars, driving around like a crazy dude and really just being the bad cop! At first I thought I was playing a Grand Theft Auto San Andreas clone, which isn't a bad thing at all. The biggest difference is that in True Crime: New York City you get to be the (good or dirty) cop instead of the crook. The funny thing is that the developers of GTA wanted to make a cop game at first, before they decided that it would be more fun if players can play as the criminal.

As a real Bond fan I gave this game a second chance, after I stopped playing it the first time around. It's not a great game but it's a Bond game and not a bad one at that (not good either). The graphics are pretty good, the environments are decent, only the faces of the characters look a bit dull and the cut-scenes are not very beautiful. Explosions are nice though! And the sound and music are fine. Most important is the gameplay and in that department the game is a bit flawed. The shooting is fun but not great and the few times you get to drive a car are very linear and it's hard to keep the car on the road. The driving part could have been so much better and should have been used more often to bring more variety to the game. The game is very linear and you can't really chose how to take on the missions or which way to go. If you are still in doubt you can always use your handy cellphone which shows you were the next objective is situated. There are no other gadgets in the game, which is a bit weird for a James Bond game. Blood Stone is a very mediocre game and will probably only appeal to true Bond fans. It starts very nicely with the spectacular scene on the yacht, followed by a great chasing scene by boat. But after that it felt like i was just playing mission after mission to get to the end of the game. I hope this time I will have the courage to finish the whole game instead of laying it down and put a Bond movie on.

The best game on PS4 by far! A few improvements on the PS3 version: the jobtriggers spread around the map can't be triggered by accident anymore. Also online this game is very fun to play, though other players can still ruin the fun by being a ****. And jobs made by users in the job creator are sometimes overlooked, they can be pretty fun to play! Rockstar should improve on the job creator instead of ignoring the flaws. For instance you still can't use parachutes in races in GTA mode! And if you lock a race to one specific car players can still use other customized cars. Also there are still no wild animals in online mode, why are there no deers and mountain lions to hunt? And why can't our character hang on ledges anymore, like he used to do in previous GTA games? Still GTA V is a great game with an eye for the small details: footprints in wet sand, car ventilators work after the motor gets overheated etc. And there are plenty of updates which bring new cars and game modes to keep us going untill the next GTA game will come out!

Nice graphics, good temporary music, an interesting story. This was way before Mafia III ruined this franchise. The shootouts in this game can be very hard, especially since there are not many checkpoints, but if you succeed they are very satisfying. There is no auto-aim so it's up to you to proof how good you are. The oldtimer cars are a bit difficult to handle and there are not many side missions but if you don't expect a GTA-style game you will enjoy this great game for sure. And you can always play the missions again after you finished the game.

I mainly play football games with my son and since he is a Fifa-fan we tried out this game. Myself I am a PES-fan and the last Fifa-game i kinda liked was Fifa 12 on the PlayStation 3. I still prefered PES 12 over Fifa 12 though! Unfortunatelly my worst expectations were confirmed while playing this game: unresponsive controls and, unrealistic gameplay. Passes always end up in the feet of the wrong player, defenders are not doing their job and tactical play is not being rewarded at all. I don't understand why EA doesn't focus more on the gameplay instead of the licenses and graphics. My son liked it anyway so we kept playing and I tried to keep my frustrations to myself. I had no fun playing this game whatsoever and I can't wait untill someone will make a good football game that is both realistic and fun to play. In the meantime I will enjoy a few games of PES 17 or (if I can convince my son to play on a console from the stone ages) PES 2 on the PlayStation 2, in my opinion still the best football game ever.

The negatives first: no real names and teams and crazy bad commentary. The positive then: everything else! This is no doubt the best football game for the PlayStation 2, much better than Fifa because the gameplay is so much more clever and realistic. It's easy to pick up and play, but it gets even better when you learn the special moves. This game is deep, much deeper than the shallow gameplay that Fifa football games have to offer. Even the graphics are fine for a game this old! I still play this game today in 2017 because they just didn't make a better football game since this one.

This is in my opinion the best FIFA game since Fifa '99 on the PlayStation 1. Pro Evolution Soccer has always been the better football game on the PlayStation 2, but i have to admit that FIfa 12 and PES 12 on the PlayStation 3 are almost on par. Both games are very fun to play! My favorite football game is still PES 2 (followed by PES 2008) on the PS2, but on the PS3 i like to whip in both PES 12 and Fifa 12. PES is still the indisputed king of football games though, since the gameplay is much more realistic and feels less scripted in PES games than in any of the Fifa games.

A great looking game with good handling and a lot of cars and tracks to choose from. And you don't have to play the game for weeks to unlock the cars, which is a real releave! The online racing can be really fun, although seasoned players can be really hard to beat or even keep up with. The menus can be a bit confusing during the online play, often I get a different car than the one i wanted. And why is there no punishment for those annoying players who drive in the wrong direction and ram into other cars on purpose? Another problem with this game is that not all car interiors are well made, some cars just have a black interior without any details. Anyway this is one of the best racing games I have played on the PlayStation 4. There is a good balance between realism and playability, the handling of the cars is really good (you don't spin out like crazy as soon as you hit the grass) and the graphics are spot on. One little detail that I have noticed in just about every racegame though: why are the developers showing raindrops allover the screen when you are playing in first person mode? Are you supposed to drive around holding a television screen or a big window in your hands?

The story mode is boring, there are too many cutscenes and everything is pre-sripted. But who cares, the online mode is what it's all about right? Well the maps are too small, you respawn often next to an enemy to be killed again before you can do anything, there is no clarity in where you are supposed to go. Everyone is just running around like chickens without heads, and ofcourse there's the spawnkilling snipers who cowardly hide at strategic positions. Newbies haven't got a chance against high rank players coz they have weapons that **** and die much faster. The maps are very confusing, most of the times you can't see who is friendly or enemy, and you don't even know who killed you and where they are. The idea of cops and robbers is very interesting but I didn't really feel like a cop in this game, it's just a COD style FPS without any brains and no own personality.

I went into this game with high expectations (I know that is a dangerous thing to do) and unfortunatelly it didn't deliver. Sure the graphics are very nice and the facial animation technique is great, but how about the most important thing in a game: the gameplay? While there is a nice openworld representation of 1940's L.A., there is really nothing to do in this liveless city. You don't have a house, there are no interesting side quests or mini-games, no crimes to solve. You can drive aimlessly around the city, that's about it. The driving is just fine btw and the cars look nice, it reminded me a lot of that other game called Mafia 2. There is no multiplayer or co-op, so what about the story mode? Well it's pretty linear and it gets old very fast: wander around a crime scene untill your controller starts vibrating, giving you a hit that there is a clue to be looked at. You can't leave the crime scene untill you found every clue. Then you and your partner drive to a suspect or witness to ask them a few questions which are listed in your little notebook. You have to look at their facial expression to decide if they are telling the truth. The system of 'true, doubt, lie' is not very efficient in my opinion: when you choose doubt your character will be yelling at the suspect but when you choose lie he will be more gentle in his approach, i don't get that! Also it doesn't really matter if you mess up during the interrogations because every time you make a mistake you have to repeat the whole thing untill you do what the game wants you to do. So you can just ask any question and make any decision, untill you found the one that the game wants you to pick. There are a few instances where you have to catch a criminal on the streets. Just hold R2 to run after him and shoot or arrest him when you are in close range. You don't have to push any buttons to jump over fences or roofs, the game does that for you! And there are a few shootouts too, just hide behind a car or a wall, use the handy auto-aim system to shoot a few criminals, and that's it! This game had so much potential but the action is simply too boring and there is no replay value in this game, no multiplayer and no interesting open world with side quests or random events. You can't talk to people on the streets, you can't use your weapon at will either. It's just an interactive movie without any free choices, you just have to do what the game developers want you to do to come to the right conclusions and wrap up the case. Different conclusions do not affect the games outcome, there is only one outcome anyway so there is no real thinking needed. Just trial and error over and over again untill you find the solution and on to the next case, to do the same thing again.

The original Uncharted trilogy on PS3 is a classic series which I enjoyed very much. It was like Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider combined. This fourth instalment is really more of the same. The graphics have of course improved, this is a really beautiful game, but more so than in the former instalments I had the feeling of being part of an interactive movie. It can get a bit boring to watch the long movie clips. I was very intrigued when I first saw the trailers for this game: great graphics and this time around you even get to drive vehicles! But the driving parts of the game are very limited and you have to go exactly where the game wants you to go, there's no freedom to drive around as you wish. The hit and miss pieces can get a bit frustrating too, for instance you have to jump out of the car and grab a ledge just before falling to your death. It's all about trial and error, and try again... untill you know ahead of things what will happen and what you're supposed to do. The story of Uncharted 4 is nice, it tells you about what happened when Nathan was a kid, and near the end of the game Nathan's wife even joins him on his journey. I like how our action hero struggles with marriage and the **** of his wife, it almost makes him feel like a real human being. Uncharted 4 is still a good game and very well made indeed, but for me it feels like more of the same old stuff and there is really no replay value at all. Luckily there is also the online multi-player part which is rather enjoyable but lets face it, Uncharted is not the best shooter game around on PS4.

The pro's: - Finally a medieval fight game on the PS4! - Playing as a team can be very satisfying. - There is some freedom in how your strikes will be performed (drag) - You can cancel a strike or face the other way in order to avoid hitting team mates. - There are 4 types of warriors with their own weapons and fighting style. - There is a decent variation in area's to fight in. - You can make your character shout like a crazy barbarian! - Playing this game makes you feel like you are in a good old Ivanhoe movie. The con's: - The vote kick system is very annoying, since mostly the players that get voted to kick are not bad sport players. - In almost every match there is at least one player who starts attacking his own team mates. - Players with high ping make the game very laggy. - You need to look up on the internet how to do special moves in order to be able to compete with higher ranked players, otherwise you wont stand a chance. - There are a lot of glitches in the game where you can get stuck in a wall or dead players are spinning around, for instance.

The shooting in this game is very satisfying, there is a lot of action but also stealth in the game. It's all very compelling and the whole game feels like you're in an action/spy movie. Of course the graphics are very dated by now and the characters look more like Playmobil toys than real persons, but the gameplay is still good and I had a lot of fun playing this game. I rate Syphon Filter 8 out of 10.

GTA is back to form after a somewhat disappointing GTA IV. It is bigger and better than any other GTA game. There are three main characters now, of whichTrevor is my favorite. Each character has his own story line, but in the course of the game they come together very nicely. The actors who do the voice acting are doing a great job. There is no weak link, they are all excellent. The graphics and sound in this game are excellent. The map is not only very big but also very detailed. There are things to do everywhere: play tennis, darts, take part in races, triathlons, fly in planes, drive boats, bicycles, motorbikes and cars, rob stores, pick up prostitutes, go to the stripclub, have shoot-outs or high speed car chases with the cops... The driving and shooting controls are the best we ever had in a GTA game. In GTA IV it was near impossible to handle a motorbike or even a car without losing control and missing corners, but in GTA V the motorbikes and cars handle very responsive and better than in some racing games i played. In short: this game is near perfect! So is there really nothing negative about GTA V? Well, I can always try to nitpick and mention a few things that bothered me and could be improved on in a next GTA game... - the character creator is just bad, you can't really chose the appearance of your character - the job creator is very limited and a lot of times the game seems to change what you created - the jobtriggers around the map can be triggered unwillingly when you step into the trigger by accident - online multiplayer is very bad (long waiting queues, frequently you're being thrown back to offline, it's hard to get enough players to join a job or heist, annoying players on the voice chat, modders and hackers spoil the game) - the radio channels have less appealing music than former GTA games like Vice City and San Andreas ( and no classical music) - no animals and hunting in online mode - the police is very annoying in online mode, they interfere when you're having a shoot-out with other players and you're auto-aiming at them instead of the other players - the police always shoots to kill and does not try to arrest you, even for the smallest offense - the police starts shooting at you when they bump into your car - the missions pay very low while cars and properties costs are very high - online gaming keeps throwing you to offline or to other session - the PS3 console seems not to be able to handle the game very good and frequently breaks down (but this might be viewed as a flaw of the hardware rather than the game) - the ocean is not being used enough for underwater activities like diving - online maximum only 16 players - hand to hand combat is not good (it seems that the player with the best internet connection will win a fight) Even with all those little problems and a broken online mode, GTA V is still the best game on the PS3 and I rate it 10 out of 10.

GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas on the PS2 were some of the best games ever created. Beautiful graphics, excellent soundtrack, good gameplay... GTA IV on the PS3 must be a huge step forward, right? Unfortunately that's wrong, GTA IV took almost all the fun out of previous instalments and replaced it with a boring game with bad controls. Especially the driving **** big time (motorbikes!) and the shooting, which admittedly never was the strong point of GTA, is not much better. The main character is uninteresting and the graphics are not colorful and rather bland. Everything looks kinda yellowish. Luckily both DLC's (The Lost and Damned, and The Ballad of Gay Tony) are rumored to be much better than the main story of GTA IV. But there is now an online feature, that will spice things up considerably, right? Not really, the online gameplay is not very good since the controls are so bad and you have to wait ages to get the game started. With GTA IV Rockstar was trying to make their most popular game series more serious and realistic, but it ended up being just ugly and boring. Luckily GTA V (2013) put the series back on track, that game is beautiful and fun and in my opinion the best game on PS3 (although still with a lacking online game mode). I rate GTA IV 6 out of 10.

I bought my first PlayStation after seeing an add for Tomb Raider on television. I remember how amazed i was seeing this open 3D world, the heroin running freely around it, jumping, diving, swimming, shooting... at that time I just knew I HAD to get a PlayStation! I'm sure I am not the only one who considers this the best game ever made. It's already been said by others: the graphics were cutting edge at the time, the music is simply amazing and warns the player for danger ahead or a secret place being discovered. It's amazing how much you can do with the controls, stepping side-ways, lining up a perfect jump and much more... Granted, the graphics are very outdated by now. But even with enhanced visuals the remake Tomb Raider Anniversary on PS3 can't bring back the same feeling of excitement I had when I first played this game. Tomb Raider deserves far more than a score of 10 out of 10!

Simply the best 2.5D platformer on the Playstation with great graphics and sound effects, and great controls. All 3 Crash Bandicoot games are excellent, all other Bandicoot games that came out on PS2 are not even close to this! If I have to chose the ideal mascot to represent the Playstation, I would doubt between Lara Croft or Crash Bandicoot. That's how good they are! I rate this game a perfect 10 out of 10.

World's Scariest Police Chases, I liked the tv show (1997–2002) and I liked the game! The game lets you drive your car and shooting at criminals at the same time, it's a hard thing to pull of but once you succeed it's very satisfying. The narrating in WSPC is done by sheriff John Bunnell, just like in the tv show, which is a really nice touch. There's also a two player co-op mode where one player drives the car while the second player shoots at the bad guys. This game isn't easy, because slamming your police car into the criminal's car could end up in your car catching fire and it's end of the mission. World's Scariest Police Chases should definitely be remade for the PS3 or PS4, with better graphics but with the same true to the tv show gameplay. I rate this game 8 out of 10.

Driver is the first driving game set completely in a 3D world, as far as I know. When I first saw (and later played) the demo, I was impressed so much and I knew I gotta have this game! It's amazing how they succeeded in making such a big 3D map for the original Playstation back in 1999, 2 years before GTA III did it on the PS2. This really changed the face of driving games for the future. The car handling is enjoyable and it's a hoot turning tight corners using the circle (burnout) button! Driving at high speeds through the city being chased by the cops, makes you feel like you are Steve McQueen in Bullitt (1968) The film director mode allows you to see your wildest chases again from different camera angles. The funky music is fantastic and sets the tone for a 70s police/bandit flick. The graphics are good for its time. A year later Driver 2 (2000) was released which didn't improve on Driver at all, except you can get out of your car. If you like more of this kind of driving games on the original Playstation, check out World's Scariest Police Chases (2001). Driver was at its time a very original and solid game. It hasn't aged so well over the years, but it's still a good game if you own an original Playstation. I rate Driver 9 out of 10.

This is the game that started a wonderful franchise of WW II shooters. With its great musical score and fluent gameplay, detailed environments and costumes and some funny voice acting (mainly from the dim-witted **** soldiers) Medal of Honor does an excellent job of making you feel like you are playing the main role in a WW II movie. When i recently played this game again the controls felt a bit weird and slow at first, but after some tinckering with the setup of the controller it was alright and felt as smooth as when i first played the game. The story mode of Medal of Honor is great, but the multi-player mode is also very entertaining. I spend many hours playing this game with my brother as a young man and we had a blast! I rate Medal of Honor 10 out of 10.

Crash Team Racing on the Playstation is a great cart racer based upon the superb Crash Bandicoot games. It has great colorful graphics for the original Playstation and the typical music (with a lot of percussion) that true fans will recognise from the Crash Bandicoot games. Crash Team Racing is much better than its successors Crash Nitro Cart (2003) and Crash Tag Team Racing (2005) for the PS2. It's much more faithfull to the original Crash games in it's visuals and characters, and it has the same near perfect gameplay. The only little remark I have, is that the button to use your weapons (the circle button) is a bit of a bad choice because you have to let go of the button to drive (the cross button) in order to press it. I enjoyed the versus mode most of all. Crash Team Racing can be played with up to 4 players (using a multi-tap) and the courses are very varied, interesting and fun. For me Crash Team Racing is one of the best games on the PS. I rate this game 10 out of 10.

It's no Medal of Honor, but it's actually quite good. The graphics are not that nice, but the sound is ok and the atmosphere of WWII feels very realistic. I have a soft spot in my heart for the Indiana Jones movies and so whenever there will be an Indiana Jones game coming out, I will hope and pray it will be worthy of this great movie series. But alas, so far I haven't played an Indiana Jones game which is as high quality as the movies they are based on. Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings (2009) had rather poor gameplay and unattractive graphics. Only the music was nice. Whenever i hear the Indiana Jones main theme it automatically brings me in a good mood and a smile will appear on my face. Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb is an older game but for me it has nicer gameplay and feels more true to the movies. The graphics are not very pretty on the PS2 even for a game made in 2003, but the sound is nice and the levels interesting. It feels a bit like playing the Tomb Raider games, which reminded me of the Indiana Jones movies when i first played them many years ago. The Indiana Jones games are not nearly as good as the Tomb Raider games though. The controls are just awkward and feel clumsy, the enemies are annoying coz shooting them is such a hassle. The best feature of this game is the whip, which can be used to jump over ravines but also to smack the enemies around a bit. It feels all the more satisfying to do so because the shooting and fighting mechanics are so poor. The face of Indy looks like Harrison Ford's and the voice actor who did the voice of Indiana Jones delivers a sound pretty similar to Harrison Ford's voice. The music is atmospheric and creates a nice movie feel. The game would be a lot less enjoyable if it didn't bring back those fond memories of going to the cinema to see the Indiana Jones movies and become emerged in this exotic world of adventure. But because it does exactly that, i rate this game a score of 7 out of 10.

In Medal of Honor: Vanguard there are no health packs anymore, you simply take cover and wait for your health to regenerate. Your company mates seem to be shooting in thin air and not hitting any of the enemies. Luckily you don't need to heal them anymore as you had to do in the previous game European Assault. There is now the added ability of running by pressing the L2 button, which can be handy to get to a good place for cover quickly. Also you can find upgrades for your weapon in several places around the map. The graphics of this game are not much of an improvement over previous instalments. Houses seem empty without any details. The levels are quite easy, except for the last one which can be a pain in the butt. The multi-player mode has only 6 maps and they are really small. There is the usual death match and a few variations on capture the flag. I rate Medal of Honor: Vanguard with a score of 7 out of 10.

With Medal of Honor: European Assault the excellent game series moves to Europe, the Soviet Union and North Africa. European Assault has less linear levels and has more beautiful graphics than its predecessor Medal of Honor Rising Sun. For the first time you can make your character lay down and there is now an adrenaline meter which fills up by shooting enemies and scoring headshots. Once the meter is full your character becomes temporarily invincible and gets unlimited ammo for a short time. The mulit player mode is very fun and has a lot of maps. Unfortunately EA ditched the possibility to play with a friend co-op on the same screen. I rate Medal of Honor European Assault 9 out of 10.

Medal of Honor Rising Sun offers a nice change of settings (Singapore, Burma, Thailand, Philippines) in comparison with its predecessor Medal of Honor Frontline. Though it still has very linear missions, the levels are less interesting than Medal of Honor Frontline and the graphics are not very pleasing to the eye, this game has one advantage over MOH Frontline: it has a split-screen co-op mode as wel as a deathmatch mode and also an online Multi player mode! On different missions in the single player campaign you get to play as a team with your A.I. squadmates, but most of the time they are just standing at random places, waiting for you to move and several times I saw them being stuck running into walls. I would rate Medal of Honor Rising sun 6 out of 10 for the single player campaign and 10 out of 10 for its multi player mode, which makes an average of 8 out of 10.

With the games GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas, Rockstar made some a big step forward from GTA III. With GTA: Liberty City Stories they decided to go back to Liberty City one more time. This time around they made some improvements over the last time by including motorbikes, making slight improvements graphically, adding better controls for shooting and fighting, and using a better camera position for looking around by using the third person view instead of first person view, just like in GTA San Andreas. Your character can now climb as well, but he still can't swim. With this small improvements GTA: Liberty City Stories is better than GTA III but still not nearly as good as GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas. If you own one of those games there's really no need to get GTA: Liberty City Stories as well, unless you want to collect the complete series like me.

There are way too little wild west games on the PS2. In fact I only know 2 games worth to mention: Gun (2005) and Red Dead Revolver. They are both good games. The biggest difference between them is that Gun offers a free roaming map while RDR is strictly a story mode game and you move from one level to the next. There is the town Brimstone, where you can wander around a bit (and listen to the spaghetti western music) and start your next mission, but there are no side missions and you can't ride a horse (you can only ride a horse in certain missions). Another difference between these two excellent games is that RDR has a multi player mode which is fun, but the areas are really small. The only area i like is the one in the fort. Gun lacks a multi player mode. Both games capture the wild west feeling very good and the feeling and sound of the shooting is very satisfying. I recommend both games, although the free roaming aspect makes me love Gun more than RDR. I rate Red Dead Revolver 8 out of 10.

Buzz is the perfect multi-player party game series. The games are played with buzzers: controllers designed specifically for the game that consist of four coloured answer buttons and a big red buzzer. Buzz! The Mega Quiz contains questions about general knowledge and is therefore more accessible to the casual player who has no specific knowledge about sports, movies or music. The game is very fun to play with a few friends or family members. Although the host of the show is kind of annoying sometimes and the music is so loud that you can hardly understand the questions, I highly recommend this game if you have other people to play with.

What can be more fun than causing havoc in an open game world on foot, in cars, boats and planes doing dangerous stunts, shooting and blowing up stuff and escaping the police? Do you love movies like Scarface, Carlito's Way and tv shows like Miami Vice? Then you are gonna love this game! Grand Theft Auto Vice City is a great improvement over it's predecessor GTA III, not so much in gameplay but in more detailed graphics, more humor and a great soundtrack. Many will agree that this game has the best music (and possibly also graphics) from all GTA games on the PS2. As others have said before me, the RC helicopter missions in this game were so very hard. I remember how frustrated I got at trying to finish those missions and I never want to try it again. The game has other flaws: it still has the same camera angle problems as GTA III, your character still can't swim or climb, sometimes you're aiming at the wrong person while shooting, cars still burst out in flames much too easy... GTA San Andreas (2004) improved on this game with adding the possibility for your character to swim and climb, better camera angle, a multi-player mode... For that reason I rate Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 9 out of 10.

When the game Grand Theft Auto (1997) came out on the original Playstation, it was an amazing game but with a top down view which I really didn't like. A few years later the amazing game Driver (1999) came out and I remember how impressed I was with that game's freedom to drive anywhere you want in the city in full 3D! Then came GTA III for the PS2, which combined the excellent gameplay of GTA with the 3D view of Driver. The graphics and sound were great for that time. I loved the many radio channels in the car (opera music!). The camera position was sometimes annoying; I particularely didn't like how the view changed to first person view when you wanted to look around. The controls were decent but a lot of times i was shooting at another person than the one i intended to shoot. The game has aged quite well and is still a lot of fun to play, but it was surpassed in every way by its successors GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas. I didn't like the dark and gloomy colors of GTA III, it looked like it was dark and raining almost all the time. GTA Vice City threw the darkness out of the window and chose for bright colors. GTA San Andreas added the great multi-player option for two gamers on one screen, swimming, more vehicles and planes etc... but GTA III was the game that made the first step towards the title of best game series in the history of gaming. The graphics are simple but nice, the sound is great and most important the gameplay is really good. This has to be one of the best shooters on the PS2. The only thing missing here is a (split-screen) multi-player mode. Also the aiming is sometimes a bit off. But overall this game is a classic. A remastered version of Medal of Honor Frontline was included in the PlayStation 3 version of Medal of Honor (2010) with trophies support and HD Graphics.
