Spent WAY too much time playing this game, watching my guys blow themselves up and reloading only to repeat again and again and again until finally you beat the level. Repeat.
A little rough around some edges but it really does a good job of scratching that pawn shop treasure hunting itch oh so well. Abundant potty humor aside, very fun game. Gameplay is good in most (but not all) places.
I love this game! The gameplay is a bit basic but fun. They keep your options as open as possible within its world. You end up pretty much being able to buy every building on the map. And the humor is so great! It pokes fun of every stupid marketing gimmick North America has produced. From chocolate that tastes like wax to adding hidden fees into everything. Honestly what I love most about this game is the humor. Second is the open world, Third is the gameplay. If this sort of do anything game is up your alley, you should love this game
Seemed like an interesting enough game for the sale but it was not. The controller is not well utilized. It feels like a mobile game that missed the mark is many many ways. There might be an actual good game in there but it needs a lot more polish for it to actually be fun.
Played a few years after it came out so I had forgotten everything about it and that was perfect. Such a great story with a great game to tell it. It's sad but very very good so don't go expecting to feel excited when you are done, but you will feel more at peace with the universe. So you got that going for you.
I had the luck of playing this game both on PlayStation 4 and PC. The PC is far superior to this version. This is just a bad, un-optimized port to be skipped.
Ok but ultimately repetative game. Levels are very long but there is not much to do in them. Graphics are decent but again, not much to show. The controls are very arcadey and the AI is rather lacking which doesn't make this a heck of a lot of fun. Okay if it is REALLY cheap I guess but there are many better combat racers out there that have more substance.
So much wasted potential. Graphics are good. Level design and pacing are sooooo slow. Sounds are okay. Power ups are sooooo rare. Paddle is okay size. Ball is tooooo big. Hitting blocks are fun. Angles are sooooo annoying.
Rage 2 simply takes the successful doom formula of forcing you to run at your enemies instead of becoming a cover shooter and dials it up a few notches. You drive around (not the best controls but still good) and then unleash any sort of hell you want on a location. All the power ups strongly encourage this sort of game play. Just don't expect some intricate plot or heart breaking story. This is not that sort of game.
Best racing game out there. Lots of cars to own and drive and upgrade. Lots of events to find, race and customize Lots of roads to drive drift and dominate. Graphically it looks amazing both on the PC and Xbox One, the sounds are great too. You can play this game for a long time and keep finding more things to do. The only reason why it is not a 10 is because the multiplayer, while it attempts at more connectivity between players, it's execution from a single person perspective is a bit lacking. With a few tweaks however, this actually might start working the way I think they were intending.
A rather faithful recreation of the original Star Control 2 (StarCon2) with a lot of updated ideas and tech. If you even liked the original, you will love this one. If you never played the original... you might not love it. There is a lot of grinding and exploring which I think is rather realistic. You need to go to many planets in hopes of finding something interesting on maybe one. Can get a little tedious but that just makes when you find something extra satisfying. Where this game really shines is with the story. Meeting just about every species is a riot. I find myself very involved and laughing out loud a lot. Once you really get exploring, this is where the real fun begins. I just wish the combat was smoother but I guess if it was, purists might complain.
Probably the main reason why I like this game more than other is because I was lucky and got a random legendary card early on so it became more about strategy instead of grinding.
Loved the story. Loved the graphics. Loved the weapons. Loved the little details. But thing felt like they got a bit out of hand at parts as well as some bosses felt out of place for me.
I played forza right before and after this game and I question myself why did I even try and compare. Everything that was bad but removed out of the old forza games are in here for some reason. Like they did not even want to learn from others. The controls are horrible and for a driving game that is a death sentence right then but combine it with intensional grinding and micro transactions you get a poor excuse for a driving game
Amazing game for an amazing superhero. You can tell they put a lot of love into this game with all the little details they put into it and the great story they told. Combine that with great gameplay and you have this game. The minor bugs put just a tiny scratch on this otherwise perfect game.
This game is a bit of an odd duck but if you can get if cheap, (like less than 8 bucks) then it is worth it. Pros: -gameplay is very responsive -enemies aren't dumb -power ups are ok -guns are varied -interesting collectables Cons: -the ubisoft site has pretty much disowned it (nothing works other than achievements) -the in game cutscenes are dated -the prolog (highway car escape) is horrible -the characters are one dimensional (figuratively) -only one photo model exists in this universe -some wierd glitches (some are funny) If you want a shoot em up, this is good if it is cheap, just don't expect amazing
Flight done right. This unique take on flight focuses on exploration and intrigue in this very original game. Certain aspects are a little simplistic but what it does do, it shines bright. The discovery of 'relics' even have their own little mini games as well as even the load screen having a little extra touch added to it. Everything in this game screams "done with love" and you can't help but feel it. The core element, the flying, is great. The basics are intuitive but there are a few extra features like diving and drifting that make it engaging to master. Looking forward to playing more of it.
It has the making of a fun game but just falls flat on it's back at the finish line. The controls are smooth but work against you to make it harder than it needs to be. The levels are over simplistic and the enemies are boring and repetitive. So much possible, so little achieved.
Made by the king of replayable games, Sid Meier, this game takes the very fun tabletop game and turns it into an epic RPG. The battles are classic M:TG with actual smart AI that will give you a varied challenge. The world is randomly created, the dungeons are randomly created, the quests and rewards are all randomly created and never once are they made wrong. Every game is fun and makes you want to come back and try your luck again. If you like playing the classic version of the tabletop game of M:TG, you will love this game. (though it might be a little dated in graphics now.)
Glad I bought this on sale as it is a waste of money. I like these types of games, I don't like this one. -controls are responsive but hard to manage -gameplay is slow -graphics get in the way of gameplay -music gets repetitive -very boring at the start, slightly less boring later
Amazing game, love the franchise. They really know how to entertain with storytelling, dialog and minigames. However, the engine they use is getting rather dated and they really need to update it to meet higher standards of gameplay and graphics.
This is just an early review because I have not had a chance to get too into it yet but there are some really fun points so far but the controls are just killing me. -Why does it take so long to pick up everything? can't I just walk over scrap to pick that up at least? -Why does it take so long to fill up everything? -Why can't I customize the controls the way I want on my controller? Speed up the camera rotation? -Why can't I store at least one melee weapon in my car!? Or only store one fuel tank?
It does get a bit repetative after a while but the game is fun and humorous. It has a lot to unlock, perhaps a bit too much. Lots of levels and a variety of difficult enemies keep this ones going for the long haul. Just don't be too easily offended.
Okay for a kids racing game but as for a legit racing game, it falls flat. The collisions are poor, the turning is bad and if you crash, you are screwed. There a many better games out there. I just wish they had the number of vehicles and unlocks as they do here.
I was really liking this game until I starting having problems connecting with my friends, then I could not participate in any competitions then I tried to reload the game and I lost everything. Did not like the game after that.
Game is pretty fun and has some interesting dynamics but the fact that there is a save game corruption that you can't get out of and need to restart from scratch is inexcusable. Maybe when they get that fixed i'll bump up the score but taking 2 weeks already with no end in sight is not a good thing. Too bad, I was really liking the camera games.
Simple idea with a great execution. No need for power ups after the fact or level ups, this just gives you what you need near the start and utilizes it throughout the entire game. Also has an interesting plot to keep all the puzzles interesting.
Same gameplay as Galcon Fusion but with an actual story this time. Not much else. Fun to play for about an hour, then you are done and probably beat the game by then.
It's okay. Good for kids around 6-10. Allows you to actually draw your hero and kidnap victim yourself which increases your desire to play. Has a lot of secrets and bonuses but that is where the fun ends. The controls are on the frustrating side. What you need to do next it sometimes hard but never impossible at least. You are given pencils and you have to draw one or two pre-set items with them or they won't work. Kind of a cop out when it comes to drawing things but I guess they had to make sacrifices somewhere. If they tightened up the walking and some other small things this would be a must buy for anyone with kids but as it stands, it is more of a niche market for this.
Interesting premise turning the hidden object genre into a game show. Too bad it is rather dated. Wish they would update it, perhaps with proper achievements and resolution. Still, if you need a hidden object fix, this should satisfy your appetite.
Wanted to like this game more but the animations really kill it. Pros: -Interesting ideas -Fun mini games -Smooth gameplay Cons: -character animations are more scary than the ghosts
This game has not held up well over time. Controls are too sensitive. Either full speed or stopped. include a non-existent "dead zone" on the controller, makes for some annoying flying and menu navigation. The audio was way off for me, music too loud and the sfx too soft but it could just be me. If they did some tweaks and improved some of the upgrades (you just max out one upgrade and stick to it) then it would last longer in the fun pile than it is right now.
Initially it feels a lot like diddy kong racing but there is no pacing for the power ups so at times it can turn into a cluster mess. Also, there does not seem to be much online multiplayer going on right now.
This game is first geared for kids. Pros: -The character is entertaining -The controls are very responsive Cons: -The main talent of the spider is to swing from its web to score high points but this is flawed, when using your web, there is no way for it to be able to set your length properly and thus you miss most of the stars which makes it impossible to 5 star any level. -Very repetitive
This game is a South Park episode. Actually it is a few 'best of' South Park episodes put together. You feel and act like you are really there. Everything is perfect. If you like South Park then get this game plane and simple. If you like RPGs or Quest games then this is for you. If you like dark humor, pick this game up now. If you have problems with people of authority, this is your baby... I think you get my point.
Just started playing the game, finished chapter one but so far it is exactly what you think it would be. Lots of campy nostalgia fun. Only wish there was not so much button mashing.
This game is great. Very fast and responsive which is a requirement for racing games. Weapons varies and the cars are plentiful. This is as close to a AAA game as you can get without the budget.
This game is mostly for the older crowd that remember the original game or TV show. It can work for a young audience as well but not as likely. An almost sequel remake **** game. Simple controls yet hard to master, just like the original except the original was easier. This one has lots of secrets all over the place that will keep you exploring. Only problem I have is that the controls are almost too limited. But if you like the two button approach, it is all good.
