Might & Magic: Heroes VII5
Sep 11, 2020
It's alright mechanically and has a decent storyline. My main gripe was several bugs serious enough to force me to restart the campaign, such as a bug that permanently decreased the hero's Spellpower every day after equipping an item that was supposed to boost it. And I played a LONG time after launch, when such issues should've been long fixed! I can only assume Ubisoft used Might & Magic franchise as a cash grab and is abandoning it.

Some puzzles are a little hard but the game is still a blast. Can't go wrong for the price of $0.

Was one of the most fun MOBA / arena shooter games while it lasted. Unique art style and characters and fun mechanics.

The game is fun and highly polished (and at the same time, simplified). It runs remarkably well on my dated PC, and loading times are very short. My main gripe with DX: HR is that it's so short; I tried to finish every single secondary mission I could find, but I still clocked only 20 hours of gameplay according to Steam.

The only arena PvP game that is purely skill-based. That means no critical hits, no random chances, no PvE, no levels (there are account levels, but they do not affect the gameplay). You have to aim every shot; there are projectiles, AoE, PBAoE, and movement skills. Gameplay is very fast, and making a single mistake can lose you the round. Very fun! I'll give it 9/10 because it's not very newbie-friendly.

Epic story that follows the hero from the original NWN2 campaign. Amazing characters with their own backgrounds, limitless customization, many side quests, epic levels, and best of all, lots of room for player choices. There are several different endings available depending on your actions throughout the story. The endings are very satisfying, particularly the "evil" one. This is a PC RPG done right!

Hands down, the best open-world RPG to date. A huge world with many hidden secrets to explore. The side quests can keep you entertained for hours, and there are several factions that you can join and rise through the ranks. You have absolute freedom in building your character and progressing through the game. It's possible to put in hundreds of hours of gameplay without even touching the main quest line. There are mods that make the game even better. Definitely superior to Oblivion; can't say anything about Skyrim, as I haven't played it yet.

The ultimate multiplayer FPS for PCs. Pure skill- and reaction-based game with no auto-aim silliness like in CoD and other series. It's a classic that never gets old.

Pros: plenty of side quests to keep you busy for hours. A large and pretty, if rather cartoonish, game world. The combat system is well done and makes you feel like a total badass, whether you're playing a mage or a warrior (although the novelty wears off somewhat after a time). Smooth gameplay and no problems playing it on even an outdated PC. Really impressive large area spell effects. Cons: the game is highly "consolified": you can't jump anywhere except predetermined jump points, you can't freely aim with your bow or spells (only at locked on targets), and the menu is annoying and clearly optimized more for consoles rather than PCs. It seems you can't even change the things in your quickbar. The character creation capabilities are pretty disappointing for a game released in 2012.
