Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions7
Sep 28, 2014
This Spider-Man game has some good ideas, but sadly doesn't follow through with as many as I would have liked. The story barely exists, and is only there to give you some explanation with the amount of bosses being flung at you. Which are, granted, very fun, as is the rest of the gameplay, but the Noir dimension is the worst. The mechanics are good, but it feels a bit clunky. Also, you don't get a lot of backstory on the villains. The game itself is great fun, but is a game amazing if all that holds it together is the actual gameplay? No, but that gameplay is pretty damn good.

State of Decay: Lifeline6
Sep 24, 2014
This expansion is a fun extra, but it ultimately fails to capture the original's sense of survival. The tension is still there, in fact even more so, which keeps the game fun. And several new features go a long way, but it just feels like a watered down SoD, which is very disappointing. Also, the fact that you have about two thirds of the map cordoned off ruins the experience. Overall, I guess the fun is still there, but it just doesn't feel the same.

FIFA 145
Sep 24, 2014
Fifa 14 is a rather average football simulator. It may work well, but it certainly doesn't deserve the praise it has received. Ultimate Team is just flat out boring to be honest. Chemistry makes no sense; and players' contracts should be much longer. The game itself is pretty decent; it flows well, it looks great, and is quite fun. But animations can be dodgy, and has several amusing but annoying glitches. The most fun I had was in Manager Mode, which involves tactics. However, the rest of the game's pretty hack-and-slashy, which is surprising, for a game like this.

Assassin's Creed II9
Sep 19, 2014
Assassin's Creed II is near perfection; honestly. The only bad thing is the murky graphics, but that's the only problem. The game has a brilliant story, brilliant combat, brilliant open world and brilliant voice acting. There truly is a wealth of content here; assassin contracts to discovering The Truth, it will keep you entertained for hours on end. the story behind it is amazing, with fascinating, engaging and heart-wrenching scenes. I can sincerely promise you that you will never forget this game. I certainly did.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition6
Sep 19, 2014
Tomb Raider is a good game, but I just don't see what all the fuss is about. Sure, the story is fantastic, which had some moments in which I really felt for characters; but (not being sexist) Lara is REALLY dull. She just seems emotionless, all the time. The game says it's open world, but it doesn't really give you any freedom at all. It just basically features as an excuse for recurring environments, and there's not a lot to do. The combat, though, is a TON of fun, and challenging. These are the only moments in which I REALLY felt for Lara, and the same can be said about the entire game.

Assassin's Creed7
Sep 12, 2014
Assassin's Creed is a historic open world action adventure game that tries to make the player feel like an assassin, with some success. The open world is dynamic, and very immersive. The combat is great, with fast-paced action, but feels a bit unfinished. Now, the story is amazing, and to progress you have to complete small activities to reach your target, which are reasonably fun, but are SO repetitive! However, the assassination missions are great, and provide a very fun challenge. The game does seem unfinished, but it's one of the most immersive games to date.

Spider-Man 28
Sep 11, 2014
Spider-Man 2 is a classic that will be remembered as one of the best games on the XBOX, and with good reason. The open world is beautiful, and swinging around in New York cannot (and has not) even come CLOSE to being replicated. The story isn't a movie tie-in, and is all the better for it. The boss fights are great, and there are different random crimes as well. However, while the combat is good, the game is SO BORING after it's completed, as the crimes are repetitive and lazy. But don't let that put you off. Play the game in small sessions; then you realise how great the game is.

Warface3
Sep 10, 2014
Warface is a faceless, boring, and repetitive first person shooter that is everything people accuse C.O.D. of being. And the worst part; it has no identity. The CryEngine isn't even all that impressive. The gameplay is fun, and there are lots of different missions to choose from, but that fun doesn't last long. And that's the way the game works. It starts as a fun novelty, but the novelty fades very quickly.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 24
Sep 8, 2014
This new Harry Potter game isn't terrible, (like the others) but it's just below average. Graphics range from very good to quite ugly, and the story is just non-existent. The different characters seem fun at first, but then you realise they all function the SAME! However, the gameplay is good, with a fun shooting mechanic, but having to do basically the same game OVER and OVER again! And that's what this game is; it's a lazy, repetitive, faceless mess!

inFamous: Second Son10
Sep 8, 2014
inFamous Second Son may be the greatest superhero game of all time. It offers beautiful graphics, an interesting story, with some very emotional writing, and amazing gameplay. The different powers are all brilliant, and you can never walk into a mission the same way. The characters are well written, and they seem to fit in naturally with the story. The karma decisions are fair, and the endings end well, with no open plot holes. The gameplay is also very fun, with a deep upgrade system, and the combat flows very well. Overall, inFamous is worth every penny of its price tag, and more.

Battlefield 47
Sep 3, 2014
Battlefield 4 offers a new and immense look on warfare, with maps for the fantastic Multiplayer mode stretching miles across. The campaign isn't very memorable, but it's a fun experience nonetheless, with good A.I. and great voice acting. Now, Frostbite shows off just how beautiful a game can be, with extremely realistic graphics. As I said, the multiplayer is brilliant, with big maps, a variety of weapons, and loads of detail. However, BUGS! Games crash often, it occasionally lags, and it takes ages to get back into games. It makes me a bit said, as the game could've been so much better.

Blood Stone: 0077
Aug 31, 2014
The best Bond game out there, Blood Stone is a good third-person-shooter that is reasonably fun. The graphics are quite polished, and the story is interesting, but is nothing we haven't heard before. Stealth is fun, but it feels like they could've developed it more. (It's one of the most fun parts of the game.) The takedowns don't offer much, but they're fun to watch. The car segments are fun, and needs a lot of practice. The shooting is repetitive, but is one of the best examples of third person shooting. A must buy for any Bond fan.

CastleMiner Z1
Aug 30, 2014
CastleMiner Z is a lazy, depressing and cheap cop-out of Minecraft. The game is beautiful, but that's the only praise right there. The crafting doesn't work, the AI is horrible, character models are ugly, and the guns just don't work. It's barely a game, and it just shouldn't exist. Think of Minecraft, now think of it watered down a thousand times.

Gotham City Impostors2
Aug 30, 2014
Gotham City Impostors is a buggy mess ****. The plot and character models are stupid and don't make any sense; the graphics are very poor, and the shooting is fun, but that fun is limited. The gadgets are just confusing. Matchmaking is very awkward, and the game bugs out frequently, accompanied by several small glitches. All attempts at humour fail miserably, and the game just comes off as a cheap, copycat pile of garbage.

Fable III7
Aug 29, 2014
Fable III is good, but we just didn't ask for it. I will say that it's the most BEAUTIFUL game I've EVER played. It's pretty enough to make you weep. The combat is also very fun, even though you just end up mashing one button. The side missions are as plentiful as they are interesting. The voice acting is great, with masterful performances from great actors. However, the story is the worst part. It feels clichéd and scripted, and the RPG elements are wasted. Overall, Fable III is a disappointment, but is still a fun package.

The Sims 37
Aug 29, 2014
Another decent simulator from EA, and it's more in depth than ever before. The character customisation gives you lots of options in SOME areas, but in others it feels very empty. The world is big, and offers loads of opportunities, and you can do pretty much anything you want; from getting a job to fishing. The home customisation is BRILLIANT, and you feel like you can never run out of things to get. However, there's one problem. GLITCHES GALORE! So far, I've ran into around a dozen game breaking ones, which stop the game from reaching it full potential, which is a bit sad.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II6
Aug 29, 2014
When I heard about this game, I thought: here we go again. The campaign is very interesting, and offers choice elements which fit in very well. The gameplay is also very fun, but all the future missions feel like the same. The past missions are the best. Also, the game features a Zombies mode, which is TERRIBLE. They've milked it too much. However, the Multiplayer is FANTASTIC. It's imaginative, and really fun, but it feels like they've overdone it with micro-transactions, which ruins it a bit. Overall, the game is good, but we've seen it too many times.

Call of Duty: World at War9
Aug 28, 2014
By far the most moving and well designed military game I've ever played, this is my favourite Call of Duty in the series. It actually has a really good story, with fantastic voice acting from everyone. The shooting itself is as immersive as it is realistic, and I think it's one of one of the most enjoyable shooters ever. The campaign is bucket loads of fun, if not a bit short. The 'Zombies' mode is the best horde mode I've played, and the multiplayer is FANTASTIC; I've never had so much fun online! If only the newer CoD games could return to the form of the war games, which I enjoy more.

inFamous 28
Aug 28, 2014
inFamous 2 is greatly improved from the first game, and is much more enjoyable. The open world is brilliant; packed full of things to do, with interesting side missions. The story is very compelling, with a great karma mechanic. The characters are relatable, and equally repulsive when necessary. A very involving story with great voice acting, which makes the game THAT much more interesting. However, the game has bad combat! It feels like a prototype, and is repetitive as HELL. However with a great open world, you'll be exploring instead, which is what makes the game so GREAT!

Sid Meier's Pirates!9
Aug 28, 2014
Sid Meier's PIRATES! is the best WII game I've ever played. It's on par with even the best next-gen games. The graphics aren't that good, but let's look deeper. Captaining a ship is daunting, and exploring is engaging. It also has some fantastic R.P.G. elements as well, with customisation, and several meaningful choices. You can side with countries, raid ports, marry Governors' daughters, defeat pirates, travel from port to port, and obviously, sail. The combat is engaging as well, were timing is key. These are the driving forces behind the best pure pirate game ever made.

Batman: Arkham City9
Aug 28, 2014
Arkham City will be hard to top. I mean, with great graphics, greatly improved (And still fantastic!) combat, and one of the best rogues galleries I know of, with villains like Joker, Penguin, Two-Face, Ra's al Ghul, Zsasz and The Riddler, it is unforgettable. The stealth feels great, and it has one of the greatest boss battles EVER in Mr. Freeze, which has you using critical thinking. I only wish they could've made the open world bigger, and more involving. Overall, this game look at superheroes in a new light, and a fantastic new light at that.

Batman: Arkham Origins10
Aug 28, 2014
I did not encounter many bugs during my playthrough, so my review may differ from yours. This game fixed all of the issues the previous game had, and did even more. The world is massive, full of activity, and the graphics are mesmerising. The combat is still as brilliant as it always has been, and I thought the boss fights fully incorporated it. The boss fights are plentiful, and designed very well. The villains are also brilliantly voice acted, and designed. The superhero gaming experience we've all been waiting for.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire1
Aug 25, 2014
This game is part of the growing cesspool of boring and lazy games. A low budget arcade game made in a week could be better than this. With lazy repetitive gameplay, recurring environments, sloppy A.I. and bad graphics, it's definitely the worst game of 2005. It's only quality is it's great soundtrack, but don't let that blind you from the rest of this garbage!

Flappy Bird0
Aug 25, 2014
Flappy Bird is everything wrong with video games. It is dull, lazy, infuriating, uninspired, and it tries to convince everyone a game made in a day is the best IOS game ever. Well... it's not. It is literally: jump through pipes with a deformed bird, with a lazy backdrop, over, and over, and over again. That's it. That's everything. your first playthrough will be around 3 SECONDS! This is THE WORST GAME I'VE PLAYED IN A LONG TIME! It's nearly as bad as Big Rigs, which really does say something.

The Amazing Spider-Man 28
Aug 24, 2014
Finally, there is a great Spider-Man game again. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is, indeed, amazing. The graphics are good, along with some good voice acting. The swinging is at the peak of greatness, the best it's ever been. It has great flow and looks superb. And the combat is very impressive. It has great flow, and just looks epic. I also enjoyed the HUGE rogues gallery it offered. (with my favourites, Shocker and Carnage) However, there is a plethora of bugs, the story is rather inconsistent at times, and the game can lose its magic after completion. But for every con, there are two pros.

Aug 21, 2014
Infamous is fun, with lots of space to play in, but it falls a bit short. The combat is fun, but the game gets very hard later on. So hard you never want to play it again. A great story and cast hold the game together, but it's not enough. The open world is very big, but repetitive and ugly scenery bog it down. However, the boss battles are a BLAST! You can tell loads of thought was put into their design. Infamous is a good game, but it's littered with flaws only a sequel could fix.

The Saboteur8
Aug 21, 2014
The Saboteur is a very unique sandbox, and a very impressive one. The game offers an excellent story, with fantastic voice acting all the way. It has a great deal of depth and is well polished, with spectacular graphics. The open world itself is very well designed, with varying locations, including the freakin' Eiffel Tower, which you can climb! However, the missions are EXCRUCIATINGLY repetitive, and the black/white screen is very disorienting. The issues are glaring, but with the fun you'll have trashing Paris, they're easy to look past.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune8
Aug 19, 2014
An absolutely visually and mechanically brilliant game, Uncharted offers a great story, with engaging combat and puzzles as well. The story is one of the best In years; it's full of twists and turns, and makes you feel for the characters. The combat is impressive, with great shooting, but the melee is awful. It feels like a QTE, which isn't that fun. The puzzles feel very well composed, yet frustratingly hard at some points. Overall, not as good as its sequels, but a great game nonetheless. A must buy for anybody who appreciates an excellent story.

This game was clearly unfinished. Splash Damage put in LOADS of cool ideas; but sadly, none of them work! Also, it has some of the worst multiplayer lag I have ever seen! Two words: STAY WAY!

Batman: Arkham Asylum8
Aug 16, 2014
Finally, a good superhero game series. And a BATMAN one? Yes please. This game is just a flat out blast. The combat, graphics, and open world are amazing! The boss battles are good as well, but are very scripted. This combat system is one of the best ever. The predator sections are great as well. They're full of tension and suspense, and require tremendous skill. There is a spectacular new plot as well, featuring all of your favourite villains. All in all, the game feels like a beta test, but it has started up an amazing franchise.

This game is a blast! You'll laugh you're head off! For about an hour. Once you've seen everything, the game becomes EXCRUCIATINGLY BORING! The map is too small, so everything can be found VERY easily. And, honestly, **** is deliberately buggy, you know that's a bad sign. When you've seen it once you've seen it all. So just never see it AT all!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 12
Aug 16, 2014
We've already had a bad Potter game in Goblet of Fire. (Check out my review) Now this franchise has been turned into a shooter, a bad one! The graphics are dull, the enemies are repetitive and the controls aren't well layed out. Harry Potter is just a mindless shooter now, which makes me sad. A good soundtrack, but sadly, there are no other redeeming qualities.

The Lord of the Rings: Conquest5
Aug 14, 2014
This game is a bit boring, to be honest. It feels like the same gameplay over and over again. Granted, the game is very fun. You can have LOADS of fun playing with friends; it's great, just so bl**dy repetitive. The environments are interesting, but since you don't notice them when you're fighting. The game is so rinse repeat that it gets extremely boring, until you never want to play it again.

Dishonored8
Aug 14, 2014
One of the best games of 2012, Dishonored excels in visuals, story and obviously gameplay. The stealth is very engaging and full of depth and care. And your targets actually feel repulsive and evil. The missions are very open, and you can even do extra side activities to boost your scores. You will constantly be replaying missions to see if you missed anything. The story is compelling, and the voice acting is top notch. While the Good/Evil system works awfully, and missions get frustratingly hard. Dishonored is one of the most engaging stealth games of all time.

Aug 14, 2014
This game tries desperately to replicate the awesomeness of the originals, but fails. The game has excellent stealth mechanics, that much can be said. In fact, they're some of the best stealth mechanics ever. However, the game is an absolute failure at everything else. The graphics, the voice acting, the story, and when you're detected, you just end up mashing buttons. So once again, this is a POOR excuse for a reboot.

Saints Row: The Third5
Aug 14, 2014
I walked in thinking Saints Row 3 was gonna be a blast. And it was, for the first 3 hours. The game throws everything at you, and you have tons of fun playing with them. But the novelty wears off when you realise you can access things really quickly. The shooting and driving is really fun, especially when you're in a helicopter. And it's really funny. But since you do things so much, things get REALLY BORING, REALLY FAST!

Fable II9
Aug 14, 2014
This truly is an amazing game. The graphics are very good, as is the superb melee combat, which is brilliant. This is, in my opinion, the best Fable in the franchise. There seems to be an unlimited amount of things to do. Plundering, saving lives, hunting monsters, thieving, and exploring the vast expanse of Albion; one of the best open world's ever. Sure, the interactions are still too cheesy and stupid to take seriously, but when my boy ran into a cave on his own, I actually got scared. And obviously, the RPG elements work extremely well. And the entire game is extremely well done.

Outlast7
Aug 14, 2014
I'm not a fan of the genre, but I know a good horror game when I see one. While most horror games rely on jump scares and nothing else, Outlast has that, and more. The visuals are good, and creeping through a pitch black room with your night vision camera dying out, and hearing a sudden noise, is as terrifying as it gets. However, like most horror games, Outlast doesn't have a lot of gameplay, which can make the game EXCRUCIATINGLY boring at some points. But, all things considered, this is a really good game, and one horror fans should check out.

Crackdown 27
Aug 13, 2014
This game is a 7 for me. It could've been an 8, but the game HURT me. I loved Crackdown (check out my review) but it feels like they stripped away the what made the game a blast, and just left the core. Granted, you can still have a ton of fun (I know I did) but it doesn't feel as fun as the original. I thought the recurring missions in the first one were fun, but these ones actually FEEL REALLY repetitive. And boring. That's what the game is, it is just a stripped down copy of the first Crackdown, and one I can't recommend.

This game is an obvious copy of Slender: The Eight Pages. But even though I didn't like Slender, it was certainly better than this garbage. It is very scary, but other than that, I can't praise it for anything, murky graphics, lazy environments and a lack of depth make this game VERY bad. It is just a copycat wannabe, and an awful one at that.

Hitman: Blood Money7
Aug 13, 2014
A solid 7. The gameplay is brilliant, and the densely packed areas provide you with a wonderfully immersive playground for you to exploit. While the game is tooth pulling standards hard, so much so that you will start to get angry, it provides hardcore gamers with a great challenge. The game is a bit buggy, but nothing that is game-breaking. Aside from that, the game gives you a feeling of being an assassin, as you sneak through. I can sincerely recommend this game to any fan of the stealth genre.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves9
Aug 13, 2014
Another masterful game from Naughty Dog, and one of the best console exclusive games of all time. With some of the best graphics, voice acting and scenery I've ever seen. It is very immersive, and shows you just how emotional a game can be. You will care about Nate, and the friends he makes along the way. The shooting is great, and challenging enough for you to stay attentive. And the story, it is one of, if not the best story ever in a video game. My only bone to pick with it is that the melee combat still needs work. But otherwise, the game is spotless.

Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy6
Aug 13, 2014
Okay, the game is not perfect, it suffers from awful pop in and dodgy shooting mechanics, and plot feels badly recycled, but let's get to the pros. The Bourne Conspiracy is a reasonably fun game to pass the time with, it offers good graphics, okay shooting, and a brilliant hand to hand system, on of the best I've ever seen. It's a bit short, but the missions feel like there's more waiting around every corner, while I can't recommend it, it's a great game to play when you've worn out your other games.

Aug 13, 2014
This game just feels like one giant copycat. It's clearly ripped off Batman and Prototype and Crackdown, amongst others. And it doesn't rip off very well, either. The combat is extremely fun, but fails to capture the wonderful flow it tried to. The graphics are good, but not good enough to make me marvel at them. The plot tries to be a good tie-in, but it isn't continuous, and just isn't very well written. I can't recommend this, I'm afraid.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes4
Aug 13, 2014
While it is improved by Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper standards, this game also falls painfully flat for several reasons. The voices don't even match the characters' faces. Now, I'm not saying that you can't have fun; I had a great time solving all the interesting problems that were thrown at me. I just didn't find them very engaging. They were either too hard or too easy. After a while it just becomes boring, so boring you couldn't pay me to play it. Just... stay away!

Crackdown9
Aug 12, 2014
This game has sadly been forgotten about by a lot of people. But the mark it made on gaming still exists today. Crackdown, the third person superhero law enforcement game, is brilliant in almost every aspect. You can have tons and tons of fun blowing stuff up, it has marvellous graphics, with a great soundtrack to boot. And collecting orbs, wow! Collecting orbs is so fun! You can invest loads of time into it. And there's actually a purpose for doing it. Sure, it's repetitive, and the boss A.I. is bad, but you don't notice it when you're having this much fun!

Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper3
Aug 12, 2014
This game is a stain on the Sherlock Holmes name. It's boring, it's wooden, it's just flat out awful. Awful graphics, awful voice acting, and the game is extremely hard. No, not the puzzles, the navigating! It feels like you're in a never-ending labyrinth of cobbled streets. While it may explain the ripper killings well, they should've just made a fictional crime. Don't buy this game!

I got this game for free on Xbox Live Gold, and instantly regretted it! This is one of those games that try to act cool to appeal to big audiences, and uses that as an excuse. The game just makes no sense. The plot is all over the place. In fact, there barely is a plot. Most of the time you're just mindlessly punching enemies, and even that is painfully boring. I will say that the RPG elements are alright, but that doesn't excuse it of anything. Don't buy this game, even if it's free.

This game should NEVER have been given the green light on Steam. I can just sum this game up in one sentence. The graphics, gameplay, sound, game world and voice acting are all low budget and terrible! The idea sounds good on paper, but aside from an okay story, it falls painfully flat. Guise of the Wolf is an absolute disgrace ****, and should be avoided at all costs.

This game is a masterpiece on all fronts. It will never cease its on ongoing quality. I mean, just pick out anything. It has amazing combat, graphics, story, A.I., environments, and the voice acting is top notch. The melee combat has finally become fun and engaging, which was the only problem I had with its predecessors, and the shooting is as immersive as it always has been. Characters are written so well, you actually feel for them, which can be rare. Anyway this game ticks all the boxes. (Boxes that have been very sharply ticked!)
