The best hardcore survival game out there. I **** love wasting 4 hours sailing to the swamps to ship back my iron ores and can't fast travel. But honestly add an easy mode where I can travel with ores please.

I preordered this game and I’m about five hours in. So far, it feels painfully average. For a game that supposedly took five years to make and had a $300 million budget, that’s disappointing especially when the main story apparently takes around 12 hours to finish. The story feels predictable, and the combat hasn’t shown much depth. Most fights feel like I’m just mashing square and triangle. I expected more variety and a reason to actually think about how I approach encounters. My biggest issue, though, is the casting and character design, particularly Jean Grey. Her design makes her look much older than I expected, and she doesn’t capture the appeal of her comic counterpart for me. Five hours in, she also hasn’t had much of a character arc. That could change, but she hasn’t made a strong impression yet. Liam McIntyre feels like a great fit for Wolverine, which makes Jean’s portrayal even more disappointing by comparison. I’ll see how I feel after finishing it, but based on my first five hours, I can’t recommend paying $70. Wait for a sale.

This game is a 10/10, but takes hours of figuring out how to maximize your combat encounter. I have 150 hours on the game now, and is still learning how to maximize character builds. The games choices and combat still impress me and have me figure out something new even after 150 hours.
