Well that was some overrated garbage. The game is ugly, technical incompetent, unchallenging and filled with cringe and eye rolls. If you want to challenge your mind, finish Grim Fandango or Myst without looking up any solution. If you want to be a mindless errant-boy, with frustrating long roads to walk, just to apply solutions that you figures out immediately, then this is your "content". Definitely learned the lesson to not trust Hinck.

The game ignores the keyboard layout applied on the PC and changes it to whatever default layout it can find. I use an English layout, but for some reason the game changes it to some other language, making keys not be where they actually are (Z becomes Y and so on) And I cant even correct that, because I can't just rebind the controls by looking up what is bound to "Z" and rebinding it to ... pressing "Z" on my keyboard, because they thought they were super extra clever and replaced a useful control binding screen like that to some question answering of "What key shall do JUMP? Press it now! - Okay. And what key shall do USE? Press it now!" And you are like "How am I supposed to know? I haven't even started the game yet, I just want to make sure that whatever the controls are, they are laid onto the actual keyboard I have, and not some default keyboard layout that you found somewhere in the windows files!" So yeah, saw the title screen (Where in order to advance I had to press Z, which was actually Y, went to the options to fix this swap manually for the developer, ended up getting some useless options designed for babies, and then uninstalled the game and got me a steam refund. Lesson: Incompetence can't be subsidized with a "charming" game.

This is the OG video game masterpiece that inspired Nintendo to go on and maker Zelda Breath of the wild. An open world that rewards exploration and offers the player several mechanics that can be used and combined however they want, to achieve their goals in creative ways that nobody else was even thinking about. Remedy, the Studio behind the ground breaking Max Payne 2, has forgotten how to make a PC game. The bad framerate, the forced motion blur, the lack of MSAA, the bad translation of console controls to keyboard & mouse. The graphics are horrible, as everything got a grainy, fuzzy, grizzle, that changes with every camera move. I guess this is ok for console players who sit far away from their TV, but on PC, this is just butt ugly. And the gameplay itself ... is okay. The system of having just one weapon and selecting transformations to switch between isn't fun, but you spend 90% if the game throwing rocks into enemies anyways. The enemies are all pretty boring and generic, and they respawn all the time. The world itself is a rather boring, sometimes cool building that you never leave. It's all very clinical uninspired, but it works. The decision to make this game non-linear was the biggest mistake, as the developer jumps on the overrated and over-done metroid-vania bandwagon, to sacrifice good level design for the sake of backtracking. The bad map system doesn't help. Some boss fights are good, but the final part of the game seems like it was developed 1 week before the game was finished. (Not that you would care about the unappealing characters in this game anyways, starting with Jesse herself.) Unless you are a hardcore metrod-vania fan, you will find yourself rooting for the game to finally be over. You just want to be done, so you can uninstall it forever . If you are a fan of Max Payne 1 and 2, I am sorry to say that the Remedy that mode those masterpieces is dead now.

This should have been an easy job - the the good work of someone else who was able to make something creative and clever, give it a new coat of paint, and re-sell it. But this developer seemed to have bitten of more than they could chew. They were so occupied with having every room look as different to Half Life as possible on comparison screenshots, they messed up the important stuff. This re-make, while looking good at first glance, is inferior to the old original Half Life in almost every aspect: - clear visuals have been replaces with very blurry rendering, that uses FXAA while offering no MSAA (an incompetent decision to PC game design that almost everyone else got rid of 6-10 years ago) - crucial architecture has been altered in it's core layout, changing the timing, feeling and gameplay of the levels as Valve has intended it - iconic and perfectly fitting voice and music recordings have been replaced with sub-par amateur creations - enemy AI has been altered, not to be better, but just to be differentiate fore the sake to be different, and the result are less fun and less fair fire fights - the final chapter XEN was always the weakest part of the original Half Life. This developer delayed the completion of the product that they had already taken money fore (!) by half a decade, to "fix" XEN. Well, they didn't. It is still as boring and poorly designed as before. But now it somehow takes twice as long to play through! It looks much better, but that will only distract from the chapter being bad for the first five minutes. But then it's two hours later, and you are still playing the worst part of the game, that should have been just a 40 minute visit - while nothing really new was added. It is baffling. Let's hope they stay away from other classics, because while they know how to bait and bribe players with eye candy, they do not understand how games are designed or what makes them great. Oh, and please: Have some MSAA, not FXAA. It's a PC game in 2020. Not a bad console port in 2009. Deferred Rendering ads nothing of value and just makes you a lazy developer.

Still a pretty good and fun game in terms of mechanics, atmosphere and writing. But it didn't age well and doesn't seem to have gotten any updates in the last decade. It still works (Steam version) but everything is low and outdated resolutions and aspect ratios stretched to modern screen, the chapter screen numbers are broken and show a white outline, etc. It's really unpleasant to look at right now, and you have to sit as far away form your monitor as possible. But the game itself is still fun, and a great way to spend an afternoon.

So far, this is the best official F1 game. The graphics are good (except for people in cut scenes), and the steering is great and well scaleable. The GP2 part of the story mode disappoints, as you only race a few laps three times, before yo go to F1. Online multiplayer is only acceptable in closed lobbies. Public lobbies are a nightmare. And when the next F1 game comes out, online dies. But don't call this simulation. This is nothing like real life. The reason is the insulting damage system. Because F1 doesn't have the balls to stand up to the sponsors who don't want their precious brand logos scratched, the damage "simulation" in this is a joke. You can damage your front wing of break your suspension. That's it. The whole chassis should able break and crumble realistically (eg. Alonso crash in Australia 2016) depending on how you crash. An unlucky hit on the rear should send cars airborne. Spinning out at high speed and through the gravel should make cars roll over. But nope - cars are always glued to the ground, and having a bend wheel or broken front wing is the most damage that you will see. It's like toy cars. No consequences, no thrill, no danger, no bravery. Just toy cars on the carpet. That is the main reason why I only get a new F1 game every 3-5 years. What's the point if it's always the same outdated and embarrassing damage system, while games like Wreckfest show how it's done?

Playing this game for one week now (without time-cheating), I still have fun, and appreciate the new tasks and changes that I see every day. But I am unsure how long this will last. I' already very disinterested in what the characters have to say. The job of collecting resources (fish, wood, fruit, bugs) in order to grow the town or get new stuff feels more and more like a joyless grind. Especially crafting / buying objects is senseless. You can't use ANYTHING except a few simple music instruments. Bicycles, lawn mowers, Scooters, toys .... nothing is interactive, everything is just to look at. The only thing in this game that you can do besides gathering resources and placing furniture is ... sitting down on things. I wish I could tell you how the multiplayer is, but I have no idea. Nintendo doesn't let me play this game online. I have a huge list of friends that own and play this game. But there is no way to connect with them. It seems like I would need to know how to contact those people IN REAL LIFE and then give them a special generated code to invite them to my island. Just let me invite people from my friend list PLEASE. Graphics, animation, sound design and atmosphere are all fine. But tasks like growing plants, fishing or mining minerals feel very shallow and unrewarding in comparison to **** Valley. Animal Crossing could learn a lot from that game.

This game is mechanically flawed. It makes only sense to play this with motion controls. The problem is that the motion controls on Switch are very bad. No matter if you use Joy-Con or the Switch Pro Controller, any fast movement will result in the sensors going off and your character looking at the sky or the ground. You are constantly resetting the view, and you are not allowed to aim as fast as your hands and mind would allow it, because it is just too much for the Switch motion sensors. You might think that this is something you can live with, but it will slowly eat up and destroy any enjoyment that you could have, playing this game competitively. Only a big pile of frustration awaits you, once the honey moon period is over.

This was very underwhelming. I didn't feel very immersed or interested in what was going on. The world looks uninteresting and uninspired, and besides from a few holograms that make announcements, it's all completely dead and non interactive. If you think that you could break glass, or that explosions destroy anything or make even a single object or piece of rubble fly through the air, you are crazy. The gameplay is completely brain dead. You as much as the game just spams enemies at you, is as much as you just spam fire at them. The only skill you need is to walk in circles a bit, and press the chainsaw button when you need ammo, which runs out every 10 seconds. The gameplay is like meditation, your mind will wander anywhere else, but you will not be in this world, thinking about what is going on in it. And then the graphics .... what a disappointment. Sure - I made the mistake of playing this after Half Life: Alyx. But man ... it all looks so bad. The level of detail, the effects, the lighting ... it is all designed with the philosophy of a racing game, as in "They player is just going to rush by it, so no reason to put any work into what they will not look at." Even if your PC is a potato, you will have no problem to set every setting to Ultra Nightmare, and still get a framerate above 100fps at 1440p resolution. I really hope that this is the end of the current Doom reboot series, and that they will go back to the ambition and immersion that was put into Doom 3.

This truly feels like a game form the future. As much as gaming made a leap forward with Super Mario 64 or Half Life 2, we now need to add Half Life: Alyx as one of those milestone achievements. It is Valve's best game by a mile, and despite the timeline of it's story, this is the true successor to Half Life 2. This game delivers an immersive experience unlike anything you have ever seen. It is thrilling to the core of your body, and it will make you cheer out loud in joy that you can't hold back. This is a deeper, better gaming experience than it would be able to be without VR, and hopefully it's not Valve's last one.

The game falls short to it's hype. If you want to purchase it, ask yourself: Am I willing to pay this price for a sandbox that will get boring after a few hours? Because you should not even count the campaign - the actual game that is delivered here. it is very short, has boring and dumb enemies, bad puzzle design on the level of mediocre community created portal maps, and is just ugly like hell. Half of the game looks like an old source engine test map with the infamous orange test textures, while the other half looks like someone's very first map, with missing lighting and moronic architecture. You will have fun trying and mastering a few moves and stunts, until you have done them once. Then you try a few combinations of them. Then you are done with the game and have seen everything it has to offer. Without the hype and expectations, this could have been a nice surprise for an afternoon. But as it is, it speaks more to the desperation for new VR experiences by those who bought into the hype, than actual talent and artistry from a game design perspective. Oh, and no: It is not like Half Life. It is not remotely like it. It is not connected to it. If you like Half Life, that will not make this vr toybox program any better to experience. Oh, and you will probably puke if you don't have extremely strong VR legs. I can take pretty much everything at this point, and some of the rides and slides in this made me physically sick.

But the horrible animations, the disgustingly horrific character design (especially children, but also all the costumes), the laughable sound design, the clumsy UI and interface, the embarrassing voice acting performances, the cringy and untalented writing ... Nothing in this game is good. You can probably pick any Far Cry game and find higher quality in all those departments. This game is overrate trash. It starts with the terrible controls and physics. You can't walk between stuff, you can't climb up/over so much stuff that you should be able to, you can't look up or down because the camera just gets blocked from moving to far, you can't exit a camera hack without aborting the current conversation/discussion that you want to listen to because they just bound everything to ESC, the game runs much worse than GTA V while looking 6 years older, animations are constantly glitching up, physics are worse than in every mobile game, You fall and glitch through falls or get stuck in things, the game freezes and crashes sometimes, you constantly see the exact same people and cars next to each other like it's a world full of clones, the police is more stupid than in GTA 3, don't try to escape by hiding inside a large bush or behind some stuff like you could do in GTA 5 - even if nobody saw you going there, they just know where you are, run to your position and shoot you, even if there is 0% line of sight, When you send the police to arrest someone, they usually just end up walking against a wall on their way back to the police car, and so much more on. Yes the game has fun parts when it comes to the hacking or spying on others, and the story and characters are a little bit more likable then in your usual "We totally know that young people think is cool!"-Ubisoft game. But you just can't enjoy this, because you will constantly be frustrated by Ubisoft either having no clue about good game design, programming and quality management, or simply not caring about it.

So this is the best Worms game they made since Worms Armageddon and Worms World Party. It's fun and does some interesting new stuff. BUT: This game needs a lot of changes from the developer, or the online community is dead again in a few months as everybody goes back to Worms Armageddon. Besides many small things that need tweaks and fixes, the developer needs to add a global text chat to the server browser, the option to put craftable weapons into schemes, and many missing weapons like Bow & Arrow, Freeze, Moles, Petrol Bombs, Low Gravity, Mole, and others. This game is not on one level with Worms: Armageddon but if they keep working on it, it could be. Also a warning: If you buy this game you don't get all the weapons. Some were exclusive as a pre-order bonus. They have to fix this and give all weapons to all players.

Yes! - if you can can tolerate the one (big) flaw this game has: The aniamtion. Most animations only have a few frames, and feel more like scrolling your eyes over a comic than seeing a cartoon. But once you made your peace with that flaw (your brain will adapt quick, and your imagination will start to fill the gaps in animation), you get a really nice treat : this game. Larry is truly back. The game looks and sounds awesome, the voice actors are all great, the puzzles still hold up, Los Wages is soaked with atmosphere, and Larry is the same loveable loser you remember from Larry 7. They even added new content and mixed the puzzles up (compared with the original). I bought this game for the full price at day one and never regret it. What a masterpiece. Let's get the only problem out of the way: This isn't Monkey Island 3. This is neither the successor to Monkey Island 2, nor the conclusion of Ron Gilbert's Monkey Island trillogy. This answers no questions, and doesn't in any way satisfy the hunger for a real Monkey island. But oh boy, this is one of the best Adventure games and Video games in general of all time. This was made by fans of Monkey Island and Adventure games, with an rediculous amount of love and production value. You can see it as the worlds greatest fan-game. I think I first played this around 1999 as an small child. And since them, I play this game at least once a year. Allthough I know the solution to all puzzels, I sill find this game to be A+ entertainment, and always discover some new detail, I've overlooked before. This game offers great dialoge, beautiful scenery, a superb soundtrack, great characters, professional and matching voice acting, good puzzles, a good coin-based interface, timeless humor, beautiful artwork and animation, nice divesion, and a truly great journey. -Unplayable and unpleasant- So let's get that out of the way: The Singleplayer mode is quite entertaining. Nothing special, but better than in other modern CoD games. But the multiplayer is where all the problems are. - No real dedicated servers (You can't select which server you want to join, you can't rent them, can't modify them, cant moderate them, can't see them, can't feel them.) In this regard, Infinity Ward are plain liars. - terrible lags (I think others confuse them to be caused by lag compensation, but it's just regular good old lags. Get used to being shot dead at the frame you see the opponent the first time.) - umpleasant host migration - bad spawning position - prone is broken (You mostly can't go into prone or can't aim or move while in prone. Every small polygone around you seems to block you in this regard.) - losing complete conenction to a session (and by that all the unsaved kills and XP) - any teammate running near/next to you will block your movement, forcing you to go the wrong direction, simulating a really bad lag - your framerate can drop from a steady 90fps to a screen frozen for 3 seconds ramdomly at every moment - the "physics" are so bad, you constantly outcry in disbelief that what just happened made the the ragdoll behave like it did. Golden Eye 64 had more realistic looking deaths. - the Ripper (DLC weapon) feels like pay-2-win - your menu can have heavy, randome slowdowns - the audio is suttering - your mouse feels like it's skipping over the screen Even on a power-beast of a computer, this game runs like it's the leaked beta of Crysis 5. But the Graphics actually don't look that bad if you turn everything on ultra. It sure is o Battlefield 3, but I think it looks much better than Counter Strike : Global Offensive. It's really a shame, because if all those problems weren't, this game would have some nice multiplayer, and I would give it a 8/10. I really love the maps, the weapons and items, the mechanics and balancing, the game mods and timing. But it's just not playable. And Infinity Ward doesn't care about that. The game is out, they made some small patches, defended their lies and released some expensive DLC. Now they moved to their next project, leaving behind the idiots whom bought this game. This was the first CoD by Infinity Ward that I've bought. This was the last CoD by Infinity Ward that I've bought. I was an idiot.
