Grand Theft Auto V remains one of the most ambitious and polished open-world games ever made. Even years after release, it stands tall thanks to its incredible level of detail, sharp writing, and the sheer amount of freedom it offers players. Los Santos feels alive in a way few game worlds do — vibrant, chaotic, and packed with **** story is a major highlight, driven by its three-protagonist structure. Switching between Michael, Franklin, and Trevor keeps the pacing fresh and allows for wildly different perspectives on the criminal underworld. Each character has a strong identity, and their interactions are often hilarious, tense, or both. The heist missions, in particular, are some of the most memorable and cinematic moments Rockstar has ever created.Gameplay is equally strong. Driving feels smooth, gunplay is satisfying, and the mission variety keeps things engaging for hours. There’s always something to do, whether it’s a story mission, a side activity, or just getting lost in the chaos of the **** there’s one drawback, it’s that some legacy design choices — like occasional clunky mission checkpoints or forced slow sections — can break the flow. But these moments are rare compared to the game's overall quality.
Marvel’s Spider-Man delivers one of the strongest superhero game experiences in years, largely thanks to its fantastic story and unmatched traversal. Insomniac absolutely nailed the feeling of being Spider-Man, swinging through New York is smooth, fast, and effortlessly fun. It’s the kind of movement system where you end up taking the long way around the city just because it feels so good to flow from one web-swing to the next. The narrative is another standout. It’s heartfelt, character-driven, and surprisingly emotional, with great performances that make Peter Parker, MJ, Miles, and the rest of the cast feel genuinely human. The main story missions are cinematic and consistently engaging, keeping you hooked all the way through. Where the game stumbles is in its side content. While the city itself is vibrant, the optional activities don’t match the quality of the main campaign. Collecting backpacks, photographing landmarks, and completing repetitive crimes start to feel more like chores than meaningful gameplay. They pad out the map but don’t offer much depth or variety, which is disappointing considering how fun the core mechanics are.
Astro’s Playroom is a joyful, nostalgic celebration of PlayStation’s history, packed with clever references and charming details. The gameplay is tight, creative, and pure fun, making it a perfect showcase for the PS5's features. Its only real flaw is that it’s over too soon. A delightful experience. 8/10
Red Dead Redemption captures the spirit of the Wild West with one of the best stories in gaming, making you truly feel like an outlaw. However, the experience is held back by clunky controls, janky mechanics, and repetitive missions. Tedious tasks like herding animals and catching horses drag the pace down. While the world and narrative are unforgettable, the gameplay often struggles to keep up. A classic for its story, but rough around the edges. 7/10
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the ultimate racing experience. Gorgeous tracks, tight controls, and a massive roster make every race a thrill. Local and online multiplayer are endlessly fun, and the battle modes are decent. It’s pure, chaotic joy from start to finish and a definitive 10/10 for kart racing.
Super Mario Odyssey is a masterpiece of creativity and innovation. Every kingdom bursts with charm, Cappy’s mechanics feel fresh, and exploration is pure joy. With smooth controls and endless surprises, it’s an unforgettable, exhilarating adventure. Nintendo at its absolute best and an instant classic and a 10/10 experience!
Pokemon Emerald will captivate you with its epic tale, stunning graphics compared to past games, and amazing gameplay and almost flawless soundtrack, which will keep you playing for hours on end. I suggest this game to all gamers as Emerald adds a lot of new features to ruby and sapphire and builds upon it with new features such as the Battle Frontier, which is amazing. 8.5/10
This is a rating for Red and Blue by the way, just putting it here cause metacritic only has the remake. The remake is almost the same just better resolution. Red and Blue gave birth to a giant. Pokemon is what it is because of these games. Many of the elements in the current Pokemon games are the same or only slightly altered from Red & Blue. Whether this is for the better or worse is a different matter, but it does demonstrate the power and influence Red & Blue has over the franchise's history and current situation as well as its upcoming titles. Despite this, it would be incorrect to act as though Red & Blue's age isn't evident, as the games are a direct result of their era in practically every way. Even though they are a slog, their past inventiveness and distinctiveness must be considered when drawing their final ratings. 9.5/10
This game is amazingly beautiful to look at. It's highly polished(something you can't say about every AAA title these days) as I barely saw any bugs glitches or significant drops in performance on the PS5 version. The Combat is great, the skill trees are great, the music is awesome and the story is good towards the end. Mythic tales are a nice addition to just main quests and side quests by providing unique lore and story about Tsushima. However, it could be improved. There are a lot of choices in this game but none of them even matter except for the last one. This was a huge waste of potential. It would have made it so much better if you could choose to honor the samurai code or embrace the Ghost. This could have had consequences and fleshed out the story a bit more. Overall amazing game that everyone who is a fan of Ubisoft's Assassins Creed will love more than Assassin's Creed funnily enough.
Super Mario Bros. (1985) is a timeless classic that introduced the world to Mario, the iconic plumber who would go on to become Nintendo's mascot. Despite these minor drawbacks, Super Mario Bros. is still a must-play experience for any fan of video games.
Only reason it isn't a 9 is because the removed mega boxes for Starr drops. As of 2025. Changes to old systems have negatively impacted the experience. Is pay to win with crazy microtransactions that lock brawlers behind pay walls for certain amounts of time.
Rocket League has always provided a great deal of satisfaction. You never get tired of anything. It's really challenging to get good at the game. But the skill required makes it really fun. Great game.
This game contains every memory I have ever had. I will always remember the good moments I had with my friends doing the silliest things. I can't give this game a ten, though because it's getting worse.
If the game hadn't been so unpolished, the score would have been a 9. The visuals are directly from the N64, and the flaws and glitches are really bothersome. But my assessment **** is dependent on how much fun and excitement I have while playing it. In my view, I prefer fun over the graphics. For that reason, I thought this game was close to a 9. It is most likely the Pokemon game with the most potential and was among the finest in terms of content. The game may have been a masterpiece if it had been more well-polished. Nintendo should rebuild this game, improving the graphics and, most importantly, addressing all the faults and errors. If they did that, it would probably be one of the best pokemon games of all time.
Now I am aware that this game wasn't enjoyed by many. Especially given that it retained many of the flaws in the original games while excluding all of the additions from Pokémon Platinum. But in all honesty, I liked this game better than a few of other Pokémon games. I may not have played the originals, which is why. LMAO
I remember passion with which this game was being discussed at the time. Compared to the current Pokémon formula, this game was much more popular. I decided to give it a try for this reason. The fact that it was a new direction for the series startled me. Pokemon catching is so much better. In fact, this game attempted to bring something new to a stale series. If you're the type of person that enjoys finishing a pokedex. You should play this game.
I suggest this game to anyone who enjoys action adventure games. I genuinely adored all of the amazing new features, like the zonai gadgets, fuse, and ultra hand. It gave gamers the freedom to be creative while doing incredibly dumb and cheesy things. All in all, this game is a lot of fun. Something that isn't true of many large AAA games these days.
