The Witch9
Feb 26, 2019
A compelling slow burn about a family delving deeply into the evolution over paranoia after a baby is kidnapped by a witch living in the woods. It uses real tension instead of jumpscares, and Eggers creates an atmosphere so palpable you can almost taste it.

Happy Death Day 2U7
Feb 26, 2019
A fun sci-fi movie with a sharp comedic edge that knows what it is about a similar concept to the first. This was a damn close sequel to Happy Death Day in terms of quality, and the emotional moments REALLY hit hard.

Polar1
Feb 26, 2019
A movie that started out with some promise but then shot itself repeatedly over and over again, showering us with unlikable characters as well as needless explicit content and gore.

Alita: Battle Angel8
Feb 26, 2019
A visual masterpiece for sure with a surprising amount of heart behind it. It also has some fairly decent performances and fight scenes.

Hold the Dark4
Feb 26, 2019
A confusing, boring movie with some decently strong performances as well as a couple surprising turns. I know that contradicts, but that's how I feel.

A very good family drama with definitive horror elements showing us the true horrors that can lie beneath in families.

Enemy9
Feb 26, 2019
An extremely metaphorical psychological mindmessing movie that most certainly requires thought. Jake Gyllenhaal combined with Denis Villeneuve's masterful direction creates a very refreshing, different movie than what we get today.

Glass9
Feb 26, 2019
A compelling psychological thriller starring Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, and James McAvoy. Shyamalan is back. You see the returning of his greatness in multiple scenes of this movie, as well as another refreshing take on the superhero genre. We also get very good performances from everyone.

The Descent10
Feb 26, 2019
The Descent is a visceral, magnetic ride that grabs you from the opening scene. It uses a likable cast as well as very intense cinematography and direction to drag you into the caves with them.
