This is a platformer with FPS elements, not the other way around. Make no mistake, the majority of the time you spend in Doom Eternal will be spent jumping, grappling, air-dashing, and hazard-evading. The shooting sections are sparse by comparison, and over very quickly once they start. Previous Doom games didn't have all these jump puzzles. This game is more like Prince of Persia than Doom. Do yourself a favor and rent this one before you buy it.
