I gave it a go to see if it's as bad as people are making it out to be, and yeah it truly is. It's a AA game that's been developed to the level of a buggy Indie game. It's a buggy mess. The facial animations are terrible, it relies heavily on unreal engine marketplace assets and it also lacks a lot of animations like item pick ups, item usage, fall deaths etc. It's not even a good looking game, like many of the preview articles made it out to be. The environments look terrible and the character models all look ugly. And yeah the plot is really bad. The funny thing is if Aeta was a man it would have been more believable and you could have kept the plot the same and it wouldn't have been as bad (it'd still be a poor plot, just not as bad as it currently is). The ending is really unsatisfying. It's also only about 4-5 hours long with little replayability, so facto that into the price they're asking for. So yeah skip this mess ****, unless you like bad games. Try plague tales instead, that's similar but made to a higher degree.

It's another puzzle game that exists to sell you DLC and PSN Avatars. You can get a platinum trophy in about 30 minutes. The difference between this and the other games like this is that the puzzles can be quite difficult. It's not jigsaw based like many of the others, it's a sliding tile puzzle. So this is only going to apeal to trophy hunters and those who really want avatars. The art for the puzzles/avatars is pushing the line of copywrite infringement too. There's a Vegeta/Venom one that I'm really surprised is allowed on the PSN.

The main Forbidden West game is more of the same from the first game but has a much more forgettable plot. As for the Burning Shores DLC itself, other than the main villain Londra and the final boss fight, the Burning Shores isn't very good. The Burning Shores DLC is full of Marvel quips in its dialog between characters. If like me, you're tired of marvel humour then this will annoy you to no end. It's particularly bad with the Seiyka companion, who's present for most of the DLC. I don't know how this went from the writing of Forbidden West (which was forgettable but serviceable) to god annoying in the Burning Shores. The Seyka romance also comes out of nowhere in a bad way and is completely unrelatable. Yes it's optional but the writing up until the choice feels so forced and artificial. The romance just isn't there between the two characters. It's just bad writing. And yes it's yet another female Sony protagonist who's into women, what a shocker. Pro tip for game developers out there: if you're making a game primarily aimed at men, then hire a male writer for your story, even if you want a female lead, even if you want her to be into women, even if you want to put progressive messaging into your game. Men have better success rates writing for other men because they know what men like. Because they know what men find fun, what they find funny, what they find cool, what they find hot. Men know what other men want from their escapism. Not doing this risks a repeat of what has happened with the book industry, few women can actually write scripts that appeal to men, hence why that industry isn't worth what it was 15 years ago and less men read nowadays. It's a bad sign that the most interesting character in this game is the bad guy. Someone who's literally a horrible person is more interesting than all other characters in this game. That should say a lot about the writers lack of talent. The Burning Shores has had the unintended affect of removing my interest in Horizon 3. I just don't trust that they can make a story that's worth investing 60+ hours in.

I gave it a go. It's another free to play hero shooter, that you've already played elsewhere. Ignoring the big optimisation problems on PC (and there are a lot of optimisation problems), It's nothing special and I can see why many people have already dropped it. It does nothing new. The characters are bland and generic, they don't even look appealing. You've probably already put money into another free to play hero shooter, so where the incentive to get you to invest here?

You know a game is truly bad when the steam score stays mostly negative on steam years after launch. They should have never bothered with this version. Overwatch 2016 was great. This game has been one negative event after another. Broken promises, missing gameplay features, microtransactions for playable characters and a less fun and worse gameplay experience. Not to mention they're still uglyfying their characters on purpose and adding backstories to them that aren't interesting or relatable to 99% of gamers. They want your money to unlock characters but they make them ugly and lame. Do they not understand how that doesn't incentivise purchases?

A bit of a mess. Combat is very simple and it's clear this was designed with mobile touch screens in mind. It's too simple to be interesting for controller players. There's some long load times on the PS5, something that shouldn't happen with the SSD and no it's not got anything to do with the servers. The pity system is a bit broken, it doesn't carry over into new events, so free players will struggle to get characters they want. The plot is incredibly boring, it's literally exposition dumps of sci-fi words. There's no real explanation as to what is going on in this world. I think they assume you've already played the other Arknights free to play game. The characters do look nice and the soundtrack is very good. I think the only people who will enjoy this are existing Arknights players from their other game.

How has no one picked up on the fact that the whole reason for Aloy's quest in this game "the blight" is not just still unresolved by the end of the game, but it isn't even directly referenced after you meet the new villains? It just gets forgotten about. The writing in this game is absolutely terrible. It opens with a 20 minute tour of characters you likely won't remember from the first game, so best played directly or not long after the first game. It's pretty much more of the same but with a weaker plot and much weaker characters. So not as good as Zero Dawn, but still worth playing if you liked the first game. The graphics do look stunning and the dual sense rumble is great in this game. The weakest bits are the plot and characters, the writing is just worse. Some of it is due to the fact that something like 70%+ of text and characters are female, this results in women playing unconvincingly roles that would have previously been played by men. It just doesn't work in most cases. A good example is the side quest were the brother is blinded and the sister is being an ahole to the veteran whilst trying to find a place for her wounded brother to live. It doesn't work because she's written like a man, hence it's unconvincing and immersion breaking. There's a lot of this in the game and it really drags you out of the experiance. I found myself wanting the side quest they were inserted into to end asap and to get back to something more fun. There's lots of random modern day agenda being thrown in as well. The side quest with the man who just randomly drops in the conversation that he wants to wear women's clothes, a quest about a mysterious signal where the Osram quest giver just drops in a 3 minute monologue about how she's experienced sexism, there are multiple women in the game that all drop in that they have wives. Sorry but I'm really tiered of this, it's incredibly immersion breaking to run into this in a video game. It doesn't work because this is a game where the world has been rebooted and all knowledge on past events, trends and social norms have been lost. You're trying to get your audience to believe that all of that somehow survives and is present in a wold where people have to worry about killer robot dinosaurs and savage tribes? To be blunt after this one I'm in no rush to play Horizon 3.

It's surprisingly good. Ironically this game has one of the better plots of the Disney Star Wars era. It's a soulslike, I'm not great at soulborne games but I was able to get to the end without too much hastle. The bosses can be tough but the rest of the game is pretty forgiving. It does still have a lot of bugs and it was clearly done on a budget. For example there are some environments that you can walk through. The only downside to it is that it features Debra Wilson who for some reason is in everything these days (She's the 2020's answer to Nolan North in 2007-2015 or Troy Baker in 2012-2022).

It's not as bad as reviews make it out. It's definitely not a 1.6 as the current score is. It's a standard COD game set in the future. If you've played Black Ops 3 or Infinite warfare then you've already played this. The story mode is similar to those games n both gameplay and plot. The online multiplayer is pretty much the same as those two games as well. The biggest issue with this game is that it hasn't really evolved from games that released 10 years ago. Yes there's also a lot of microtransactions and there may be some AI images in the game but these are a given these days. But you don't have to spend in game and if someone had to tell you AI art is used and you couldn't spot it normally, then what difference does it really make (it'll come to a point in the next few years where you won't be able to tell the difference anyway).

There are good cosy games and there are bad cosy games. The good ones hide the fact that you're doing something repetitive and pointless with either a good plot or rewarding gameplay. This is one of the bad ones. It's a walking simulator (you do sometimes drive) where you just go from A to B, pick up an item, listen to some uninteresting dialogue and do it all over again. There's no unique plot, no interesting purpose for completing the mundane actions, no interesting gameplay along the way. The character dialogue is mediocre. I can't say this is worth playing when there are better alternatives out there for far cheaper. Try Calico or Toem instead for a better experience and you'll see how games like this are low effort attempts at making a cosy game.

I've noticed that it somehow looks a lot better in the gameplay trailers than it does running on my PS5. I'm honestly a bit disappointed with this game. To be fair they have improved it a lot since the second game, but it's still a a gameplay type that will only appeal to some gamers.

This isn't a Dead Space game. It's crazy how that has led this game to be unjustly hated. It's an action horror game. It's basically the atmospher of Dead space crossed with the combat (gun and melee) and feel of adventure of the Uncharted games. It does a lot really well. There's an epic syci fi plot that takes about 15-20 hours to complete. The combat doesn't hold your hand. It's easy to pick up but difficult to master and the game lets you figure out a lot of the mechanics, where to go and what to do. I wish more games would do this, I don't need a game to hold my hand.

Oct 12, 2025
So I finished Ghost of Yotei. Controversies aside, judging it fairly, I would rate my experience a 6/10. To be blunt I’ve plaid this exact game before. It was called Ghost of Tushima. Ghost of Tushima had a much better plot and the small combat improvements in Ghost of Yotei, don’t make me feel that that this is a must play for fans of the original. The good: The music and graphics are in Yotei are stunning, as is to be expected when there’s a leap in console generation. I like how the dualsense has different vibration styles depending on what happens in the game. There are minor combat changes like disarming that are small improvements on the original game. The bad: You can tell that this is a game that started as DLC for the original and should have stayed as DLC. The story is very basic and the characters lack personality. Six samurai kill your family and now you need to and kill them. This plot is ripped from several pre-existing Japanese samurai films and of course Kill Bill (thinking about it, it parodies the plot of Kill Bill a lot). It never surprised me with what happened in the plot and never gets interesting. So a total opposite to Ghost of Tushima which may not have had the best directed cutscenes but the plot was at least interesting and unique. I also don't particularly like how only one of the six samurais deserved forgiveness, of course it’s the only female samurai in the group and of course she ends up being the love interest. Why have all Sony games in the past decade that stared women ended up with gay leads and always follow the "revenge is bad" plot? These have been done to death. It's a massive let down when personally all I really wanted was a direct sequel to the original GOT. The gameplay improvements are minor. If like me you played Ghost of Tushima for 60+ hours and got the platinum, then there isn’t enough here to make you want to commit to another 60+ hours to 100% complete it. It’s pretty much the same open world and the same combat. Sure disarms and separated skill trees add some improvements but there’s equally a large number of stupid or silly changes. The roar technique looks ridiculous. Atsu yells and all the male samurai either fall over of just stand there over reacting. It totally breaks the immersion. In fact most of the way the fight cerography works looks silly. Atsu shouldn’t be able to match strength with men who have visibly thicker more muscular arms than her, but there are times when she’s matching or out powering them in strength. It looks silly. Instead the animations should have been based on her being faster that them, tricking or outsmarting them, or using another advantage like a second weapon. It looks as silly as when Chloe Fraser had Nathan Drakes exact move set in Uncharted The Lost Legacy. A lot of open world improvements are also “filler” content. You can stroke the wolf or fish or cut grass with your sword. But seriously this just wastes time. It doesn’t give players a better experience, it just fills in the run time. TLDR is that this game isn’t as good as the original Ghost of Tushima and is likely to disappoint fans. I really do feel like **** needs to take a look at whoever wrote the plot for this game and question why they allowed them to go with this narrative, why they moved away from Jin or at least didn’t set the game directly after the events of his. Game companies also need to realise that open world fatigue is real and that you can’t just recycle the last open world game with minimal improvements. It’s crazy many games fail these days due to bad plots.

It's also not very challenging, mainly because the devs were embedded with the Baftas, so they probably made it easy for those who don't actually play video games. It's also not really a game for children, it covers topics they may not be ready for including death, grief and moving on. Fun fact about this game. You can't make a character that resembles the hobbits on the promotional art for this game. The create a character throws up characters that either all look pregnant (not joking they all have massive guts) or are incredibly ugly. Other than that, it's a smartphone level cosy game with no real gameplay depth or challenge. Indie Cozy games play better and are more fun than this game. Everything is basic like it was designed for a touch screen. It also doesn't respect Tolkien lore and makes changes to what is established about hobbits and the shire. Ironically other than these changes it doesn't do much with TLOTR licencing other than using some character and location names. Basically it's a rubbish game that they tried to plaster TLOTR branding on to cover for a lack **** game. More than just an "expansion pack". This game has fixed the graphical issues of the first game. Has an entirely new plot with 8-12 hours of new content and side missions. Is set within an entierly new area. Has a lot of new enemy types, new weapons and new mission types. You play as characters other than Robocop in this game. Trust me when I say it’s improved on the original by a lot. Whilst Robo Cop rouge city felt like an attempt to fit RoboCop into a video game, this one is written much more noticeably like an 80's/90's action film. Personally I think It's better for it. It also goes past what I back in the day used to consider an "expansion pack". The only reason I’m not giving it a 10 is because it’s released with a lot of bugs, some are particularly bad like characters sinking through the floor in cutscenes. In a few months when this is patch it’ll be a 10/10 must play game. Also remember that this launched at budget price, where I live it was 60% cheaper than the going AAA game price on launch, so it's really good value for money.

I found this game boring. There are better card battler games out there, even indie ones. The plot was forgettable and 3 weeks after finishing it, I can tell you that I don't remember any of the characters names. They were that forgettable. If you're looking for an educational game to teach children about debating (as in professional debating) then this probably isn't it. The developer probably didn't look into this much. Some of the cards are themed on actions that are frowned upon in professional debating. For example there are cards for attacking a debaters character and using strawmen arguments. Doing these would get you punished in real life debate clubs and professional circles. It's something you see often on Pierce Morgan unlimited, Fox news or the view debates where they attack each others characters and refuse to engage with the actual arguments, which makes me think this is what the developer based this card mechanic on. If they were smart, they could have had these cards do negative actions or at least had negative affects on you.

For a game that's completely about reading dialog, they sure didn't try and make their characters likable in any way. It's a pity since the game does look nice for what is basically a visual novel, but that alone doesn't make a good game. It's full of political messaging. Mostly anti capitalism and anti-ageist messages (I've no idea why the devs put this in). It's very heavy handed and it basically tries to lecture the reader. There's no playing of arguments against one another, it's just one side good, the other bad. It's political writing at its worst. You also don't have any real choices in the game. You can go against these messages and chose to push back against it, but that just angers your passengers and this punishes you with a lower rating. This pretty much is far left propaganda the game, agree with it or you are the bad guy and you loose (ironically accurate to the real life afar left). I'm near the political centre and I hated this game. No one likes being told what to think, what's good or bad and especially when it's told to you by stuck up characters who won't let you talk back in the way you want. I honestly couldn't see anyone enjoying this game unless you already believe in the messages the game tries to push.

The Vita version isn't as bad as most professional or user reviews suggest. The gameplay itself is fine. It's not the best top down shooter but it does have 9 stages of approx. 20-30 minutes length. You do get a variety of different weapons to use, enemies with the norm being one new variety per mission and a few boss fights. The plot is enjoyable enough but you can tell that whoever wrote it isn't a native English speaker as there's some grammatical errors (that are spoken out by the B grade voice actors) and badly written dialog. The worst part of this game and what's stopped me from giving it a higher score is the bugs and poor programming. I encountered several bugs during my playthrough, some required quitting out of the game and others where just graphical bugs. The analogue stick programming is particularly bad. You don't have true 360 degree control. If you've ever used a fake PS3 or PS4 controller with bad analogue sticks, then you'll know what I mean. This issue particularly lets the game down as you have to change the way you play to compensate for it.

If you're only in it for the Story mode, then you're in for a good time. It's one of the better plots for the non modern warfare COD games. Kevin Spacey is a great villain. The gameplay is fun, graphics are impressive and the new futuristic enemies do bring some variety to the gunplay.

A fun enough platformer game from the PS2 era. It's fun to play without being too difficult. Think more like Sly Cooper 2 or 3, than the Crash bandicoot games. Controls have been optimised well for the current day. Graphics are disappointing. It's just upscaled PS2 graphics. There's no HD textures or new HD smoke or lighting affects, it's just the PS2 game rendered in 1080p. It's not a deal breaker but it's a noticeable limitation when compared with games like Spyro Remastered or the recent Kao the Kangaroo remaster, where they went out of their way to make the game look better.

Remember puzzle flash games from the 2005 era? This feels like one of those. There isn't much to the puzzle gameplay and over all it's not very good. Simply get your character to step on every tile with there being some poorly explained rules as to where you can't go. The puzzle master who put these together wasn't very good. About 70% of the puzzles can be solved simply by starting on the outside of the puzzle and working your way inwards. Essentially most of them aren't very difficult. The game also doesn't do a good job of telling you where you can traverse from one edge of the screen to the other. A separate icon for this would have been a better design choice. It's worth noting that like most Ratalaika games, you can get the platinum trophy in about an hour without completing the game and you get the PS4 version with the Vita version for free.

This visual novel targets a very niche audience. I normally enjoy visual novels and have enjoyed some dating sims in the past, but this game is just not for me. Some things you date in this game could have been much funnier and interesting, but whoever wrote it just couldn't pull it off. The script in places is borderline terrible and some of the voice actors got on my nerves. One of the things that hit me after playing it is that, this was probably written by women for women. Or at least that's the feeling I got. My advice to watch a lets play first to figure out if this game is really for you.

An interesting enough visual novel. The plot itself isn't too serious or all that ground breaking for a short visual novel. Don't let the multiple endings food you, there's only about 2-3 hours of content depending on your reading speed. With most of the bad one's being very short and the good ones share a lot of the content from the main plot branch. The characters are ascetically pleasing and the music is really good. The game does have minor audio stuttering at times, so it's not the best optimised version of this game but over all it runs fine on the Vita. The free cross buy with the PS4 version is also a nice bonus.

It's a great game and one of the best optimised PS5 to PC ports in a very long time. Gameplay is a lot of fun. Graphics look great. The amount of in game costumes is also really cool, just on the principle of not having to pay for them. It reminds me a lot of the PS2 era when there was no paid costume DLC and everything was on the disk. Plot could be more engaging but it's still pretty good.

If you only care about the story and Zombie mode, then this is one of the best COD games in years. The plot of this one is really good. They’ve made a lot of gameplay changes that make the story more interactable and it’ll play out differently depending on your actions. This gives you some replayability for the campaign. The graphics also look amazing. It’s really impressive what they’ve managed to do with the PS5. The only thing which annoyed me was the load times. They’re noticeable slow. Remember when Sony promised that the PS5 SSD would do away with all load times? Well not with this game. Be prepared to wait a full minute at times.

It's a difficult game to rate. It's literally just a puzzle where you put pieces in place until the image is complete. The images do look nice and some have clear inspiration from popular franchises. There’s 3 different difficulty settings (I don’t think the game makes you aware of this, I found them after finishing all the puzzles in one play through) but having played one of the harder ones they don’t really compare to say a 800-piece physical puzzle set. You also don’t have to worry about rotating puzzle pieces to get them in place, which I guess for better or worse takes away some of the difficulty of doing physical puzzles. It’s free which is great but that alone doesn’t make a game good. Plus I think the addition of a store link in the menu means there’ll be paid DLC in the future. I think I would likely have had both a more challenging and fun time doing this with a physical picture puzzle set than a digital puzzle set.

It’s not as good as the Vita version of Lego The Lord of the rings. It absolutely doesn't deserve the 0's that many here have given it. After all the game is fully playable, has no bugs that I encountered and most will have fun with it. Despite what I write next, I do think this is a fun game and is worth playing. So this like most Lego games on the vita is the Android/IOS version. It’s disappointing to see this since the Vita was perfectly capable of running the PS3 version if the dev would have made the effort to port and optimise it. The gameplay in this one is more pick up and play, with most levels being 5-10 minutes long. There’s a world map and a lot more challenges than there was in Lego TLOTR. Personally I don’t really like these changes and preferred the bigger levels and menu system from the Lego TLOTR, just because it felt more like a full game and was quicker to navigate. Combat also feels worse in this game and the audio is more noticeable compressed than in Lego TLOTR. This is another instance where the devs were lazy. Looking at the file size of this game, they easily could have included higher res audio (it’s file size is a lot less than the 2GB vita card limit). Also this only includes the events from the first 2 films. This released before the last Hobbit film, so it ends on a cliff hanger which you can fill in elsewhere either with the films or which the book.

It's a mediocre remaster. It's more similar to the Ty the Tasmanian tiger remaster than the Spyro reignited one (look up screenshots to get examples of what I mean). Graphics look just ok. It's clear they've just upped the resolution on the assets. There's no new better looking lighting or smoke affects. The new controls are nice to have, but personally I think the old school PS2 control scheme had it's charms in a game like this. They've also censored some female characters (in a game that'll be played 90% by men). There's a mod available for the PC version that'll fix this, so that's the best version to get.

The Vita version is the mobile version of the game (It was also available on Android & ISO before being taken off the mobile stores when their licence ran out), so this isn't the same one that was available on the PS3/360. It's a lot of fun. It plays similarly to the console games just with smaller levels. If you've played the Harry potter lego game on the Vita, you'll already have a good idea of what I mean. The Vita is capable of better graphics, but this game doesn't look all that bad. It is held back by being an IOS/Android game in disguise but it doesn't look as bad as others here have made it out to be. Audio sounds fine and it uses the original LOTR film soundtrack, which is an amazing soundtrack on its own. There's plenty of replayability in this game as it's a colectathon type game.

As fun as it was on the PSP back in the day. The plot holds up well and you don't need to have played the PS1 games to understand this one. Load times are near instantaneous but it does look its age. To be honest, this game would look better on a smaller screen like a phone, so perhaps best played on the PlayStation portal.

A fantastic game that showcased the PSP to it's fullest. You don't have to have played the PS1 games to enjoy this one. A great story, fun gameplay and back in the day it had competitive multiplayer. The controls were worked really well to get around the limitations of the PSP system, specifically the one analogue stick.
