Each series, not necessarily because they’re female forward, which they are, has a sentimental streak — an impulse toward kindness any cop show, or actual police department, can use. Each is built closely and efficaciously along the lines of their respective motherships, which is to say, crowds will be pleased. I have no complaints myself. .... The series begins in a light mood, almost like a small-town comedy with cops.

Sheriff Country has already set up some good stories and rivalries in its first episode, and Baccarin strikes the right tone as a person who wants to keep her hometown safe.

This show does feel like a cheap soap opera. Minimal mystery. Poor character interaction. Story line if typical and cheap. Acting minimally acceptable. All in all, we say; "pass this up as there are plenty other shows to satisfy in this genre."

It’s more character-driven than many CBS procedurals, at least in its first episode.

Sheriff Country needs to figure itself out, and quickly. It absolutely has the potential to do so, but it needs to happen sooner rather than later because viewers aren’t going to extend patience when there’s so much other content to watch.

Neither Mickey nor her deputies Cassidy (Michele Weaver) and Boone (Matt Lauria) distinguish themselves from so many TV cops past. If “Fire Country” really does have the makings of a full-blown franchise, they’re not on display here.

Just plain awful! Why do they make shows like this?! Poor writing, terrible lead character worse acting and an even worse world! Network can do a lot better than this honestly where are shows like “Lost” “Fringe” the original “Law and Order”…?

OMG its so bad. I love Baccarin but she is just unforgivably terrible in a show that even worse. There is nothing redeemable about this. Even the sets and cinematography are awful. The writing, story, and dialog are so blasé' that you lose interest completely within a few minutes. Theres no way this finishes the season or gets renewed. Please put Baccarin to work on a real project.
I have a feeling this is the sort of show we will be getting now that Taylor Sheridan is has left the studio.
