I wanted to learn more about who Rafael Nadal is. This documentary didn't do that at all - was very 'external' and we never feel any real attachment. I'm a big Rafa fan and while I wasn't fully aware of the amount of injuries he had to suffer though it seemed that was most of what RAFA was about. Using an english voice-over also made the distance between us and Nadal much wider, the show was much less intimate as a result. We were given small glimpses of his wife and his family but they were cursory at best and again - nothing intimate. So while we see a lot of Nadal the tennis player we didn't gain any insights on Nadal the person. It also seems that his uncle Toni may have removed years from Nadal's tennis career and probably - made his life much less enjoyable than it could have been. Many of his injuries went back to working a young child too hard while his body was forming that caused life long issues. Nadal suffered from more than just physical injuries, he had many mental challenges - stress, anxiety, OCD... all a result of an over-bearing and over ambitious 'coach' in uncle Toni. The documentary didn't spell the issues regarding Toni out but if you read between the lines at all - this was pretty transparent.

The docu itself is about 6ish, but because Rafa is such a nice guy, Ill give him a 7. We learn mostly about his injuries, his matches and a bit about the coaches.
