A chilly, thrilling narco saga told from the perspective of the Mob’s money launderer, Ozark deserves its place among the very finest TV takes on American dope, crime and corruption.

Ozark started out as a sort-of poor man's "Breaking Bad," but has found its own tense, twisty identity. Setting up a particularly juicy arc for its main characters played by Jason Bateman and Laura Linney, the third utterly binge-worthy season ranks as the Netflix drama's best yet.

I would describe Ozark as the Breaking Bad of the midwest. It's an incredible show that in my opinion is on par with Breaking Bad, at least up until the last season. Ozark has mastered the feel of tension. Every moment felt like an imminent implosion was about to happen, and I was on the edge the whole time. The acting was phenomenal. Every single character felt real, and it really brought the show together. The only possible negative of Ozark, is the ending and the second half of the last season. I understand why the writers chose to end the way they did, but its still just felt a little off. It almost feels like show went out with a whimper just a bit. However, that did not ruin what was otherwise and amazing show, and I still give it a 10 out of 10.

It’s pretty good. And, given present circumstances, pretty good is just fine. ... Bateman and Linney are both powerhouses and watching great actors chew their way through trashy dialogue brings its own pleasures. The cinematography is irresistible, too.

The echoes of "Breaking Bad" have grown louder in Ozark...While by no means a great show, the intense second season cements its status as an eminently binge-worthy one.

While the pilot, directed by Bateman, matches the rest of the show’s bleak color palette, it unfolds mechanically and predictably. ... The final episodes reflect the evolution of a series that transcends the sum of its initially uneven parts.

“Breaking Bad” had propulsive, straightforward stories that dragged you from season to season. In Ozark, a lot happens, but not much is going on.

The second season of Ozark, however, is a 10-episode slog of grinding narrative gears, ominous pronouncements about consequences, affectless violence and a monochromatic aesthetic that left me giggling at its miserable pretensions.

A mediocre series that threw everything it could at the wall to keep it moving forward. The strength of the series was its tone and Ruth. The top of this class, like Breaking Bad, are re-watchable, Ozark isn't.

I finished the first two seasons — barely — and I won’t be continuing. It’s obvious the show is trying hard to copy Breaking Bad, but the biggest problem for me was the main actor — he’s terrible. His performance is weak in every way: he stammers constantly, always looks scared and dumb, and his acting is just painful to watch. I also blame the directors for choosing such an actor. His wife, on the other hand, is the smart one who’s always planning and in control — which clearly feels like part of a hidden agenda that many Western shows and movies push.Another major issue is the overuse of that blue filter — you’ll get sick of it fast. And then there’s the exaggerated sense of mystery: every character tries to act “mysterious” because the directors seem to think that’s what attracts viewers, but the result is the **** short, the show is overrated, overdone, and doesn’t deserve its high ratings at **** rating for the first two seasons: 3/10.

Seasons 1 and 2 had some interesting flaws, but they carried on by the slightly, 'lost in the woods' look of the Byrd family whilst their family story had strong support from some interesting characters. Season 3 on the other hand is a tedious 'Breaking Bad' knockoff that has characters that just won't shut up no matter how much you want them to stop talking and on top of that they either killed off or wrote out every interesting character from the 1st two seasons. This series is a way for the producers to wave the flag for 'cool, sexy, criminals' and the absurdity of woke misandry taking over the drug trade! Burn in hell producers, burn in hell, you are safe in your gated communities and mansions, whilst drug addicts go on crime sprees (in poor areas) and die in the streets. You evil ****.
