This is not the candy-coated girl power of CBS's freshman series "Supergirl," which is doing something very different (and doing it very effectively). Jessica Jones is more psychologically complex, acknowledging how painful it can be to flee, to be free--even when you have an iron fist.

The show is often shot in a flat, predictable manner, which is likely a choice made to place emphasis on the deep emotion of the piece instead of a perceived “comic book look,” but it results in a show that has almost no visual language at all.... Luckily, it’s never dull in every other department. From Ritter’s totally engaged performance--this character could have been pure snark but she never gives into that impulse--to the aforementioned themes that Rosenberg so captivatingly weaves into her narrative, Marvel’s Jessica Jones works.

Masterpiece and the best Marvel show along with The Punisher and Daredevil. Jessica Jones is such a complex, deep, charismatic and well-written protagonist and anti-hero with excellent performance from Krysten Riller she is perfect casting for the character and her acting is just fantastic. First season especially is absolutely phenomenal and has one of the best most brutal villains in the entire MCU in Killgrave and the greatest story and 2 and 3 season while not quite at that level still have great storytelling and good character development for Jessica and interesting detective investigative stories. Highly recommend it excellent show with superb acting and great writing.

Jessica Jones is one of the best shows in the Netflix Marvel series. It's a mature show that deals with dark topics. Great performances by Krysten Ritter, Rachael Taylor and Carrie-Anne Moss. It has three seasons. The first season is the best because it has a very interesting and unique villain played by the extremely talented David Tennant. Excellent story and twists. Season one Jessica Jones is top-notch quality. If it isn't better than Daredevil, it's on par with it. The second season is the weakest of the three, but still very much watchable. Slow at the beginning, but it picks up later on. Some people didn't like the villain, but I did. The third and last season is very good. Not as good as the first one, but fairly close. It captivated me from the beginning until the end. I wasn't bored one second. Great villain, great story and great twists.

Season 2 of Marvel’s Jessica Jones does all it needs to--which is to say, it brings Ritter’s fantastic interpretation of Jessica Jones back to TV, with every ounce of shadowed malice and explosive desire on display.

Smartly adapted by Melissa Rosenberg, Jessica Jones doesn't require an advanced degree in comics history.

Jessica Jones sets up its second season to fascinate on a number of levels, and its heroine to represent the crucible through which all of her gender is passing in this moment.

Jessica Jones season 3 isn’t exactly going out with a bang, but it is bright enough to illuminate the darkest corners of the MCU just one more time.

Season 3 doesn’t provide any narrative closure for fans, nor does it show enough of a passion for telling this story to evoke any outrage over it ending.

I must say this is dark and nontraditional hero show, and Jessica is not superhero you gonna love ...she earns her admiration after first season. She is so unique and amazing snd tv show os so dimensional and layered as if you sink deeper and deeper in the specal and dark world of marvel..These daysdark and grime is not DC world its Marvel that took the world

A superhero I'd never heard of until the show, but one I ended up really liking. Jones is much more street-level and grounded than most heroes, with just enough powers to bring her trouble with enough threat level. Kilgrave played by David Tennant was always going to win me over as a Doctor Who fan, and I thought he was a much more adult-oriented villain than I expected an MCU affiliated project to have, but I found it very compelling as a result. Unfortunately, Series 2 and 3 have blurred into one for me as time has gone on, and I did think in general that the show began to get a little silly when Jones' mum was a superstrength villain. Season 1 is a must-watch but I wouldn't recommend Seasons 2 or 3 to people.

I couldn't make it past the first season. Being generous with a 2 rating. Very unlikable main character.
