The series still makes wonderful use of clean, empty spaces by giving them a foreboding air. Combine this with the evocative music of Yutaka Yamada, pulsing and urgent all at once, and we felt re-immersed in the world the series imagines before we even re-entered the world it imagines.
Netflix once again trying to squeeze a great series for everything it's worth and underdelivering. This wasn't a complete flop but it's very obvious that the steam is running out. Netflix, king of the half seasons has struck again.
if you loved seasons 1 and 2, then go right ahead and lose yourself in Arisu and Usagi’s adventure as they once again fight for their lives. The games themselves continue to be deadly and inventive, packing an emotion gut punch when you least expect it.
Finally, the long-awaited Season **** they botched it, well, at first. This is a big bowl of aftermath, and while they do explain a lot of the lore, I'm sad to say that I felt nothing here. Yeah, ok, look, while the games are entertaining, it feels like the plot was just made up faster than the speed of light because the logic behind why Season 3 happens at all is quite poopy. They do have amazing, different games, and the budget clearly increased, but there is no style or connection to any of these characters; you only feel bad about them because they deserved better just before they die. But then it gets really **** at the very end, and oh my god, if I can't see what you want to show me, then why did you mention it in the first place? I get it's a Taste but don't chew situation, but it could have been explored. Instead, some other stuff happens, and really, it could have been done in another way. And you can tell that Season 3 is bad because the characters, 70% of the time, are just calling each other's names, good god.
Anyway, it's a 7/10; it's not bad, but it wastes so much time building up nothing. Yes, the CGI and effects look expensive, but who cares? Why don't I feel anything towards Season 3?
It makes no sense.
A única coisa positiva dessa temporada foram as ideias dos novos jogos, porque é uma temporada totalmente descartável. Não acrescentou muita coisa, apesar de ter achado a mensagem final da série bem bacana, ela peca bastante.
In this season 3, it seems that the movie is just for entertainment. It completely lost its meaning in season 1 and 2. In my opinion, it would be best if the movie changed the ambiguous ending in season 2 a bit. This season 3 no longer has the essence of the movie's core ideas.
Completely forced, unbelievable plot line that clumsily gets the key players back into the game. No real suspense. The games are boring. The stakes aren't believable. Even for those who loved 1 and 2, not worth the watch.
