McConaughey’s smooth Southern drawl is the perfect fit for Presley, the animation is fluid and attractive, and the laughs come at you quickly. It’s a raucous good time, and deserves a good, old-fashioned try – even by suspicious minds.

The central voices are uniformly delightful, but particular praise must go to Cheadle, who practically sings his dialogue and has sharp comic timing that brings the best out of even the silliest punchlines.

It seems to be one of those animated movies that combines adventure and fighting with humor. I don't see this type of movie very often, so I can't say how it compares to other movies. The trailer didn't look great.

Elvis Presley gets his own Archer-style animated action series with Netflix’s Agent Elvis, a fun if at times repetitive hail to the King.

On visual strength alone, this would be an easy recommendation, if only it were more consistently funny and had a more fitting lead voice actor. As is, it’s still a pretty good time despite some cringy gags.

“Agent Elvis” succeeds more as a curiosity than a comedy, which is to say, I found it only occasionally funny — blood splatter doesn’t do it for me, I confess — but generally interesting, if only to see what scenes and references might turn up next. ... The series looks good, especially in its cartoonification of Elvis, all midcentury swooping lines and angles. (Robert Valley designed the character, and fashion designer John Varvatos received a screen credit for his wardrobe.) McConaughey’s performance, which is more McConaughey than Presley, is like honey on the ear.

No matter how many stars you pack in, the amount of cool Easter eggs dropped into the series, and the most, coolest soundtrack from Presley’s nearly 25-year musical career juxtaposed to fiery action scenes that appeal to the TikTok generation, these elements are not enough to save the show’s uneven blend of silliness and satire.

As ideas go, though, this one feels too out-there for its own good. The streaming service couldn’t help falling in love with its potential and promotability, but not to be cruel, they probably should have labeled this pitch “Return to sender.”

I'm sorry, but this was garbage.- Matthew McConaughey was miscast - the animation and art style are ugly- action has no impact- not a single laugh from me in 30 mins - Why was the ape having sex with the hooker wtf?- I didn't even care about the story and have no Idea what the first episode was about

While the tv show is very beautiful in its art style, it doesn't change the fact that the story is horribly written. Looking from an outside perspective, this show looks pretty interesting. A secret society that recruits famous celebrities to do its work that takes place in the late 60s & early 70s... sign me up! Though once you finish watching it, you will sadly be disappointed. The entire show is basically a copy of Archer with very dumb and primitive sex jokes and A LOT of unnecessary curse words. It felt like the writers had to use these cheap and stupid tactics to appeal to the millennial/Zoomer audience. The first few episodes aren't bad, but it gets progressively worse the further you watch it. Plus, I forgot to mention how woke the show also is. Almost every episode circles around a modern issue facing America regarding racism and sexism. In the end, I salute to the hard-working artists and animators that made this show with their blood, sweat, and tears... and a big middle finger to the writers that once again, keep ruining Hollywood.

An excruciatingly bad Archer ripoff with all the satire replaced with excessively crude sexual "jokes." It feels designed to cash in on the surprise success of Elvis, but the idiocy of the writing surpasses even that film's threadbare self indulgence.
