The second season of “A Man on the Inside” represents another triumph from series creator Michael Schur. .... This is low-key, endearing, stress-free viewing at its best. The quiet humor is soothing, and the moments that have your eyes glistening are well-earned and artfully executed.

An extra-cozy mystery series that once again begs for another season.

Season 2 is a little better than Season 1. Ted Danson IS this show - but his age is showing and maybe that is the point. Regardless he is a National Treasure and we enjoy watching him in whatever he is in. Make no mistake - the plot and writing are secondary to the characters and this is where season 2 improves on season 1. The writing is really bad though. Why though does EVERY show have to force a gay character into the story? It is as if the writers are sitting around trying to figure out who needs to be gay - whether it adds to the show or not? My wife and I play a game where we each pick which character is going to end up gay... I won! Don't misunderstand - I have zero issues if a character is 'whatever'... but when it is obviously forced into a story line just to check off some DEI box... that is getting a little old.

Season 1 was fun, season 2 was pooh. Why can’t shows leave degenerate sex out? Once again another show feels compelled to push lesbians, gays, or transgenders on people who just want to escape from controversy for a while. If there is a season 3, watching it will not be me.

If the first season was more focused on the story of a grieving man learning how to process loss and what was on his “inside,” the second is less ambitious but still remarkably sweet and, ultimately, optimistic about human potential and connection. Maybe this really is the good place.

Even if there aren’t many belly laughs, this “Man” yields plenty of smiles.

The second season of A Man On The Inside may or may not have as much of the sentiment and emotion as the first season, but it should be just as funny, thanks to Schur, Danson, and a great cast.

Not as good as the last series. But still a lovely watch.

This show limits itself to risk-averse humour; retaining the weighty themes (in this case old age and its attendant isolation) but failing to probe or subvert them.

I love Ted Danson. I liked season 1 of this show. I have already stopped watching season 2. It is awful in every way.
