You might think you've seen it all before, but 'The Twin' thrives in upending expectations to deliver an atmospheric folk horror that's as emotional as it is terrifying.

The convergence of the story of a bereaved mother with a cult-like presence in the new country she calls home does not blend as effortlessly as one would like. The third act proves it cannot. Despite this, however, The Twin makes for a fairly constructive horror that is worth a watch.

Not going to lie, started this film due to Teresa Palmer being in it. We open with heartache and familial suffering, and I'm not sure of the trains at this point. We've a new female character, and she is a real pip, if I say so myself.There is Evil song into the air this family breathes, it appears this is developing into a folklore tale. Vile wickedness is an understatement, such horrendous behavior. The needle pushed in and the mind waivers, is up still up or is it out and not even down. Such a Deliciously Wicked Tale, Masterfully Executed, that Never slowed the story developing.

The Twin is a horror movie that is not bad, even if it reveals its finale after a point. Still not enough. Horror movies have been changing and working on the same ideas for a long time. Innovation is a must!

Predictable to the very last drop. And that's regardless of whether you've seen a lot of films. That's another big problem within the horror genre. Good ideas are in short supply and it's very easy to see where this story is taking its inspiration from, and without paying close attention, it's easy enough to see its twist, and worse, how little it can offer in the way of entertainment and horror. A very bad bet.
