It’s not a perfect movie, nor a particularly innovative one, but the science-fiction adventure—touted as the first Korean space blockbuster—is certainly fun, with colorful performances and impressive CGI, and a worthy substitute for a new Star Wars or Marvel movie.

Space Sweepers is low-risk, low-reward entertainment. It’s a breezy bit of escapism with some social commentary baked in, but it’s the spectacle and whiz-bang that’s on the front burner. Even as he gleefully reshuffles familiar elements from a variety of sources, director Jo has created a fascinating science fiction tableau that feels both original and inviting.

this was one of the best space movies i ever seen, i saw the crit, i thought it will be bad, and like american movies and etc, but it wasn't like this at all !, it may make you feel that the movie is like cowboy and etc american movies at first, but every 10 mins you can know that what you are watching is different, VFX Is the best thing in the movie, the story was very amazing, the characters , and the acting, i give it 8/5 , but because people are hating this show for nothing i'll hit it with 10, because this movie have to be trending, more people most watch it, stay away.. K-drama haters.

I enjoyed this movie a lot. It had great special effects, a good story line, and well liked characters. And while I may not think this deserves a 10, I'm giving it 1 because of Racist people with no taste in movies giving it a 0 just because its Korean. Honestly the movie is about an 8/10 and well worth a watch. I hope this helps anyone looking for a review.

Imagining space as an extension of earthly capitalism certainly isn’t new, but at least Space Sweepers’ cast has the collective charm to make the material feel like fresh, worthwhile viewing among the increasing detritus of streaming content

Shoot outs, wisecracks, narrow escapes and brutal, bloodied captures, a big BOOM that might be coming and Raybans that might never come off. It’s oh-so-pretty to look at. But talk about empty calories.

A surprisingly enjoyable movie. The writing is nothing new to anyone in to sci fi, however the innovation tech on display are quite novel and offer a convincing look into a possible future. Despite being a Korean production you may hardly recognise it because while the main crew that we follow is korean we see and interact with ships and people from all nations. ingeniously the movie chooses to keep everyone's native language at all times because in this future everyone wears a translater. The subtitles are managed well for this. The cgi is really great as are the sets. There is a lot of production quality here and for the main cast the acting is great. Nothing special about the sound and I kept expecting the villain to be something special but alas, he was not. Not much room for a sequial here but I will be waiting for more sci fi from this studio.

It over-extends its stay, but Space Sweepers was an impressively ambitious sci-fi film. There are several segments that are quite messy, and the story itself is not that solid but for the most part I think it's an experience that offers apt and competent thrills. It could be better? Of course.
With a better consistency it could have reached better levels but truth be told, I never found myself disappointed. I give it extra points for being a nice and interesting option outside the mainstream and the big franchises.

WHAT ARE THESE POSITIVE COMMENTS?
The clearest expression I could say for this movie would definitely be this: The most boring and empty movie I've ever seen. Cliche scenario, characters that are tried to be shown as special, but empty cliché characters. I have no idea why I'm watching this movie. A complete waste of time. The movie is so cliché, I'm sure you've watched the same movie 3-4 times before.
