The long-run fallout of the Louis C.K. scandal is the subject of the thought-provoking New York Times documentary “Sorry/Not Sorry” from directors and producers Caroline Suh and Cara Mones, which shines a spotlight on the difficult questions raised when someone’s egregious actions result in them being “canceled.”

As a documentary, Sorry/Not Sorry isn’t groundbreaking in terms of form or information, but it does feel important in the larger conversations that Suh and Montes are exploring, as C.K. isn’t the first nor will he be the last celebrity to have the pain they've caused unveiled to the world.

It is fine. This doc probably doesn't make people on either side of this issue happy.

5 for now because I'm about to watch it. My biggest issue is that Louis CK seems to have been an unnecessary casualty of the MeToo movement. What he did, from my understanding, is the definition of consent. He's a single guy who asked two female comedians, who he was not working with at the time, to watch him jerk-off. That's it. He didn't threaten them. He didn't force them. He asked and they said no. Calling that sexual harassment is belittling those who suffered the real thing (like the victims of Harvey Weinstein) and publicly shaming an innocent man.

An earnest and frustrating documentary.

It is a nicely-packaged, technically-proficient production that stands out due to its timing, certainly, but also for the power and personality of the female comedians interviewed by the directors.

Produced by the New York Times, which broke the story, and with its authors Melena Ryzik, Cara Buckley and Jodi Kantor appearing on camera and listed as consulting producers, “Sorry” sticks a finger in a wound that, for some of those involved, hasn’t quite healed.

Sorry/Not Sorry functions more aptly as a recap of a situation most people who would seek out the doc already know about.

Divided into seven narratively ill-defined parts, Sorry/Not Sorry moves like the first draft of an article that has all its sources, but doesn’t quite have a thesis yet. Rather than contemplating the nuances of C.K.’s rise and fall, it is simply an information piece, adding footnotes to the story we already know.

Unfortunately hideously unfunny. I'm not sure what's happened with South Park, however the Trump "jokes" are simply the most unfunny and absurd, mundane and lame, kindergarten garbage. I highly doubt Trey and Mat are actually running anything these days after their billion dollar payout. Because this is just hideous. Also the new Merchandise is rather telling. Goodluck with the new trash, I'll watch the old episodes like "Make love not Warcraft", Randy having alcoholism.. or Chinpokemon!.. so many good episodes.. get back to that...

Terrible. Discounts real victims' stories by exaggerating these very minor things
