The film is driven by a we-are-the-world connectedness, but remains a travelogue in search of a defining center. The overall impression is as fleeting as much of the imagery that flashes across the screen.

The rush of watching images made in such rare locales as Andorra and Sao Tome quickly wears thin as the montage whips through considerably meaty topics (water issues, climate change, immigration, religious faith) like an impatient Web surfer.

Ultimately, a collage film is only as good as its constituent parts, and, with a few exceptions, the brief snippets from this particular day on earth are far too prosaic to be illuminating.

One Day On Earth touched my heart. It was sad, funny and heartwarming. This film shot on 10.10.10 is a documentary of the whole world in one day. Everyone in the whole wide world got cameras and started filming- and got creative. ODOE focuses on a lot of subjects like- Pollution, Festivals, Crime etc. and even the good things. Well, I loved this movie. Long but really good. It's a must watch.
