Like many art films of a certain aesthetically adventurous, formally rigorous, narratively oblique persuasion, Music will probably be ignored by most and dismissed by many as excessively challenging at best and woefully obtuse at worst. But that overlooks the piercing, entirely accessible emotion that Schanelec layers into her story, often in ways that would seem counterintuitive in less assured hands.

Se você gosta de um filme que foge ao estilo de narrar, como um bom Godard, vai apreciar isso aqui. A mim, me parece que o cineasta tem medo de narrar os fatos, com saltos bruscos no tempo e cortes estranhos. A música está ali, mas de forma tediosa. Se eu não lesse a sinopse, me sentiria perdido. Ainda bem que as atuações estão num nível de autoconsciência absurda, que vai da performance artística inerente aos próprios personagens à vaia dramática dos acontecimentos. Tem que estar atento.
