Baltimore Sun
Malibu's Most Wanted mines a well-worn comedic vein, but does so with a consistent good humor and surprisingly deft touch.

Chicago Sun-Times
Flashes of inspiration illuminate stretches of routine sitcom material; it's the kind of movie where the audience laughs loudly and then falls silent for the next five minutes.

I liked this movie. I thought it was funny and cool. All the ghetto stuff may get racist at times, but at least the movie as a message in it telling you to be yourself. It wasn't a bad movie. If you want terrible, watch Chicken Little.

This is worth a watch. Definitely funny in places, but gets too unbelievable by the end.

Dallas Observer
Kennedy is funny, but too cartoonish to ever identify with -- Diggs and Anderson are the real stars of the show, and need more screen time.

San Francisco Chronicle
A small triumph for lowered expectations.

Variety
Ultimately implodes, letting down the 'hood, hip-hoppers and Jamie Kennedy fans looking forward to his first major starring role.

L.A. Weekly
Amiable but not especially funny film.

Austin Chronicle
The film feels like a truly awful "Saturday Night Live" sketch padded out to such unholy lengths as to make "It's Pat" seems like a comic masterstroke.

This film earns 5/10 - a point for each of the following aspects of the film: -Script -Cinematography -Supporting Cast -Maintained Relevance -Genuine laughs you get from watching the movie. It, however, loses 5 points because Jamie Kennedy is so un-charismatic on screen, that it is only thanks to the cast he is surrounded by that the film maintains any entertainment value.
