It brings together several popular strains of contemporary moviemaking and combines them into one big, shameless, audacious, compulsively watchable, irresistibly likable piece of pure entertainment.

Maybe I enjoyed the similarly themed Kick-Ass because it took me back to that innocent time. Or maybe it's because this is the most brazenly funny bloodbath unleashed on the public since "Pulp Fiction."

It was a truly sensational experience of "Byeong-mat" humor at its absolute peak. The film embraces a level of nonsensical chaos that is both jarring and incredibly entertaining, pushing the boundaries of conventional storytelling. This kind of raw, unpredictable energy is exactly what makes it a standout piece of cult cinema, leaving a lasting impression through its pure, unadulterated madness.131222 (5.0)

It's also perfectly content to be an insanely violent, funny take on an established genre. And in that respect, Kick-Ass lives up to its name.

Kick-Ass should delight fans of the original comics and garden-variety action junkies as well. Suggested subtitle: "Iron Man, You Just Got Served."

Kick-Ass is a compendium of all sleazy things, and it sings like a siren to our inner Tarantinos.

Vaughn did a cracking good caper film with a pre-007 Daniel Craig called "Layer Cake" six years ago, but Kick-Ass has little of that film's heady panache and instead batters you about the face and neck with wildly over-the-top fountains of gore, bone-cracking slow-motion, and, yes, Cage, who dials his acting down a few notches from the kicky Herzogian mindf---ery of "Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans."

Kick-Ass - based on a graphic novel - thinks it's so brave and bold. But it's more like the title character, a dweeb who just thinks he's tough.

I thought it was funnier back then. The film now looks pretty ugly, and the visual effects have visibly aged. The music selection follows no discernible logic. The plot is a completely standard vigilante/superhero story with no twists and turns. Unfortunately, the film isn't as brutal as the comics. That's offset by the enthusiasm of everyone involved: Aaron Taylor-Johnson is great, I only like Chloë Grace Moretz in this film, and Nicholas Cage's performance is rather reserved. Many of the gags still work for me, and the idea of gangsters nonchalantly fighting with children is fun. Conclusion: I loved it back then, I think it's okay now, and I'll probably never watch it again in the future.

Kick-Ass isn't necessarily a bad movie, I think It really stands out from other movies because of how colorful it **** Lighting is done pretty well and the performances from Chloe Mortez as well as Nic Cage is done Wonderfully,But after that there isn't a lot of worth for the movie. Kick-Ass does not work for me and most of the elemnets feel pretty cliched, but when you look past that you have a pretty watchable movie.

The character Kick-Ass didn't do remotely anything memorable and epic. They also really up the movie by shoving some irrelevant love relationship upon him. This movie is utterly horrible. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is boring to watch, Chloë Grace Moretz can't act and Nicolas Cage is the rotten cherry that tops this movie. They wasted Mark Strong and the only commendable performance was Christopher Mintz-Plasse playing Red Mist. Other than that, this movie made me want to "Kick-My-Own-Ass".
