Kenan and Kel share a wonderful comic chemistry that has a lot in common with the anarchic goofiness of Abbott and Costello or Martin and Lewis, leavened with a good deal more mutual affection.

Good Burger, K&K's inevitable first movie, will satisfy their audience's appetite for basic, messy silliness while leaving many grown-ups mildly bemused by the fuzzy obviousness of its humor, the gawky pacing of its sight gags and the second-handedness of its slapstick--almost all of which is redeemed by the eager but never cloying charm of its two stars.

This film is nothing but peak throughout. The only letdown was that it ended. When Ed said, "Welcome to GoodBurger, home of the GoodBurger! Can I take your order?" a tear ran down my face. 100/10 film. Must-watch. You don't know movies until you've seen this masterpiece. Dying without watching this peak film is like dying a virgin.

The comedy is usually silly, and - in keeping with the fare served up at these busy counters - often tasteless. The wiry Mitchell and the chubby Thompson may physically suggest such great teams as Laurel and Hardy and Abbott and Costello, but - at this stage of their development - the resemblance ends there. If you think putting grapes in your nostrils is hilarious, you'll like Good Burger. And if you think taking the grapes out and eating them is even funnier, prepare to fall in love. [25 July 1997, p.4G]

The received notion that kids want their movies fast and furious is barely in evidence in this 1997 comedy, a laboriously slow suburban adventure.

If you like your burger well-done, you're in for a disappointment.

Movies don't get worse than Good Burger, a wretched little comedy. It's a movie that inspires wonder -- at how it got made and released.

Good burger reminds me of my long-gone childhood. It is a symbol of not only burger-making but also the challenge of mankind in the pursuit of burgers. This movie is awesome and burgers are also awesome.

An absolutely delightful film... this film shines for its extraordinarily sophisticated humor and wonderful dialog. As a man with acumen to actually understand the film I can say it is absolutely astounding. I do however understand that people with a much lower intelligence quotient can not understand the humor however I pay no mind to such lowbrows. I look with the upmost favor upon the wonder that is Good Burger and I thank Brian Robbins for bringing so much joy upon the world.
