Don Q

This film stays with me, bringing smiles whenever I think of it. Enjoyed the feel of NY and the casting.

Really a good movie that shows both the good and bad in every human. It details how sometimes one might think of themselves as one way but they might be the exact opposite of what they portray.

This movie is such a cool and fresh spin on a classic story, set right in the middle of Little Italy. Armand Assante absolutely crushes it, balancing laughs, intensity, and just the right amount of sadness like a pro. It’s quirky, heartfelt, and straight up gorgeous. Seriously, the cinematography makes the neighborhood look so good I’m actually rethinking my opinion of the area. I used to live there, so that says a lot. The mix of comedy and drama keeps you locked in, and the whole loyalty and identity vibe really hits home. If you’re into movies that are a little weird in the best way and make you think, this one’s for you!

Don Q is a funny, intelligent and touching movie. The story follows the classic, Don Quixote, with a modern twist and an update on the meaning of the word Don. Armand Assante is masterful in it and as sexy as ever! The rest of the cast charms too. Worth the watch.
