For the most part the film is compelling, with Jones' riveting performance as the alternately sympathetic and nasty protagonist anchoring the proceedings.

Absolutely amazing! I was not expecting an ending like this, but was left hanging. It would have been nice to have a few more minutes to know what happened to the main actor.

Dementia manages itself to be serious so the audience can behave it serious. Also, what I was not expecting in Dementia is just too much to explain so I thought myself, "Why bother?"

The film doesn't quite earn Jones's performance, but it engenders considerable goodwill for allowing him to give it.

Testin and Berg's work here is definitely promising, suggesting something better from both of them down the road.

As a suspense film, Dementia is solid but unremarkable, even considering its ugly snarl of an ending. But hidden underneath, the film has all the elements for a compelling, sharp-edged family drama.

There is nothing happening here; just a boring TV movie with a little more budget than the ones on actually TV.
