Carnahan’s formal proficiency makes for a more sharpened and accomplished piece of work than many modern counterparts attempting to draw from the same well of cheap-o homage. That sense of precision doesn’t detract from the down-and-dirty fun, either; everyone on screen appears to be having the time of their lives gnawing on the rare slab of beef they’ve been thrown.

The shoot-'em-ups are consistently “whoa!”-eliciting, and while you couldn’t call any of the plot twists genuinely unpredictable, they do not lack for intrigue.

Smart, silly, wild and thrilling. Every actor is delivering an awesome performance as an interesting character in this odd film. This is a simple storyline that is full of big personalities and action. It feels like they had a blast making this film, and I had a blast watching it.

Thank god for Gerard Butler. Butler stumbles into this thing sweaty, hulking, and menacingly and he’s an absolute joy.

Copshop isn't quite the movie the trailers paint it to be; It's definitely a worthy first meeting between Gerard Butler and Frank Grillo in the action genre, but Alexis Louder is the one who really steals the show.

Copshop has a certain sub-Tarantino appeal, which is very much the way director Joe Carnahan (Narc, Smokin’ Aces, The A-Team, The Grey) wants to play it.

Copshop won't be for everyone, but those looking for some old-fashioned gun-slinging hijinks will get some enjoyment out of it.

We’re supposed to be taking a fun thrill ride here, with a little existentialism to boot, but Copshop can’t escape its arrested development.

When you see Gerard Butler and Frank Grillo together in a movie, you know exactly what you're in for: gunfights, explosions, and nonstop action from start to finish. Copshop doesn't try to be anything it's not, and that's precisely why it works. It's a textbook example of an action flick that gets straight to the point, delivering a solid dose of adrenaline without overcomplicating **** plot isn't particularly surprising, and the characters are pretty much walking stereotypes, but in return, you get a fast pace, well-shot fight scenes, and a touch of that '70s thriller vibe that gives it a certain charm. Joe Carnahan knows what he's doing, and although the humor can be a bit off at times, he mostly keeps the energy high and the movie moving **** might not be a film you’ll remember months from now, but it absolutely does the job for a fun ride, with two actors who fit perfectly into this kind of story. It doesn’t reinvent anything – and it doesn’t need to. It delivers exactly what it promises.

I don't mean to sound dismissive in any way, but can it be considered flattering to say that a movie you expected to be trash turned out to be a really entertaining experience? I'm intrigued. Copshop doesn't really care about anything, but what it offers is a fun ride that really seems to admit that it is only made for what it has to last, and that should be enough for you, because if something became clear to me is that if you demand more, you are the one who is fooling yourself with your own expectations.

Triste e inverosimil desarrollo de la historia, especialmente la "super policía" que lo único que le falta hacer en esta pelicula es autocurarse como cualquier X-men que se respete.
