While Code 8: Part II manages to outdo the original movie in its sci-fi elements, that is not the only improvement that can be seen in the sequel.

Like its predecessor, "Code 8: Part II" uses its high concept sci-fi to critique the increasing violence of the militarized police state, especially in the age of surveillance.

Very good movie although slightly disappointing.Code 8 part II is a good movie if taken as an individual movie. However the story as a follow up of the first one didn't had the right weight or importance, on the contrary it felt like a separate plot line and because of that it didn't fed my curiosity to know what would happen next while the story was unfolding. In my opinion it's very disappointing because this Ip can have so much potential and it can be so much more than what it is at this moment. Hopefully they will make a third one with a more direct and define plot **** cast and the photography was very satisfying, although nothing out of the ordinary. As final thought, it's a good watch. But don't expect the level of the first one with this as well.

In the end, even genre fans with relaxed standards might try to similarly rebel against this insipid offering.

Average thrills fail to impress in this low budget sci fi exploring a disopian society where mutants with powers struggle in a world that treats them as second class citizens kept under heavy surveillance. There are some great ideas given limited room to grow inside the limits of the screenplay. It was fun to watch but not quite as captivating as the original movie and concept short. I think if the scale if events was smaller and more personal this could've been something special!

I very much enjoyed the first film, so I was doubly disappointed with this lackluster follow-up. The story is both unbelievable and cliche, scenes involving minor characters drag on too long, and the talented cast has nothing interesting to do. Meh.

While the first movie did at least try to build up the world around the division between "normals" and "powered", here we get a really shallow, naive and cliche-packed movie about... well nothing. That division is obviously present, but the majority of characters present on the screen are either powered or mechanical. So you don't feel the other side, at all. Plus it's a really really simple plot, completely guessable from A to Z. The first movie was a pleasant surprise. This one is a boring sequel, that doesn't deliver at any layer possible. Nor the effects, nor story, nor... anything.

I am incredibly tired of watching police as mindless robots hellbent on murdering innocent people. Seriously: police, betray, murder, bad. Since that is all this movie is about, I must say I really have not enjoyed it at all, the ideological ballast is just too much. Nothing surprising is happening. Police will be bad, they will decieve you, they will be everywhere, they will try to murder you, even your children, always. The first part of this boring nonsense at least had a tiny hint of character dilemma and evolution; this part is just an excercise in propaganda, not a human story. I refuse to rate it as an attempt at a real movie. It technically is purely a propaganda film and as such, it's garbage.
