AGGRO DR1FT
SummaryBreaking away from the traditional parameters of cinema, AGGRO DR1FT explores the onslaught of digital ephemera and interrogates modern life through the vernacular of video games. Shot entirely through an infrared lens, the film follows a Miami Beach hitman as he embarks on the relentless pursuit of his next target.

Destined to be passionately adored and despised, it’s a provocation, a stunt, a dare, and an experiment—as well as a bold one-of-a-kind experience that...shouldn’t be missed.

It may indeed be the perfect cinematic representation of our current media landscape, adapting to our collective brain rot from being terminally online instead of fighting against it.

It’s not really a movie at all, but more like a cross between a movie, a video game and a flow of hallucinatory images that could play in the background of a live show by rapper Travis Scott — who co-stars here as a gun-toting, philosophizing killer surrounded by a swarm of twerking booties.

To call Aggro Dr1ft stupid or silly isn’t wrong, but it is missing the point. The dialogue is incredibly banal and hilariously repetitive, the story a thin assemblage of clichés. But the images!

Aggro Dr1ft is less interesting than the video game cutscene it resembles, padded by a narrative peppered with the tropes of a hit man action film but lacking substance.

AGGRO DR1FT isn’t an enjoyable or particularly well-made movie, but it is the movie I’ve thought about most this year. For better or worse, that’s worth something.

Wild. Just wild. Say whatever you want about Korine but it's one of the more innovative directors in the Indie US crowd these last decades . And his movies aren't exactly woke or playing safe , both a big plus . Visually most of Korines films belong to my more memorable big screen experiences

Friend: "I wasn't sure if I was going to love it, or if it was going to be a giant pile of ****" Other Friend: "And it was Both" The acting is as terrible as humanly possible, with dialogue that was almost definitely written by a bad AI
