A hugely enjoyable shambles. It’s a comic deconstruction of that most useless of Hollywood artifacts — the blockbuster sequel — that refuses to take itself seriously on any level, which, face it, is just what we need as the summer boom-boom season shifts into high gear.

22 Jump Street is a success, as there is a little good ol’ fashioned “heart” beneath its post-modern veneer.

One of the best sequels of all times hands down. Had a lot if fun with it. It has great comedic talent with jonah hill's awkwardness with Tatum's Gung ho personality- with a cool twist with the existing setting

22 Jump street, makes fun of the sequels by doing the same thing switching the formulas. It's hilarious it's on edge and Tatum and Hill's chemistry is here and they always go that far with their humor. Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (who are themselves impressive partners at this point), know not to mess with the film's successful formula. Channing Tatum is funny while being thick-headed dumbness. Jonah Hill is even more funny by acting like a child. Grade A

22 Jump Street hits far more often than it misses, and even when it misses by a mile, the effort is so delightfully zany that it’s hard not to give Lord and Miller an “A” for effort.

22 Jump Street is exactly what comedy is today. It's coarse, free-flowing and playful.

22 Jump Street is hardly fresh, but the picture has enough energy to get by.

Here's the crazy thing, though. Against all odds, it works.

As funny and batshit insane as the movie often is, the fact that 22 Jump Street knows it's a tiresome sequel doesn't save it from being a tiresome sequel, even as Lord and Miller struggle to conceal the bitter pill of convention in the sweet tapioca pudding of wall-to-wall jokes.

An inferior product compared to that of the original. Comes across as a rushed effort to cash in on the success of the the first. A shame.

Ugh. Probably the most disappointing movie of 2014. I thoroughly enjoyed the first movie. All of my friends said this was great or even better than the first. I was pumped. And I was let down. The movie isn't good because the chemistry of the Hill and Tatum seemed to worse from movie to movie. In this movie, they seem awkward and with the script that they were given, I could see why. Barring a few chuckles here and there, the movie is not that funny. The story is a rehash of the original and they were trying to go for the meta "do better than the first time" type jokes and they weren't done very well. I say watch the first one instead and forget this even existed.

much crappier version of the first one. needed to be edited down. many jokes repeated way too often. Really a shame, they got great chemistry. not really sure how this one is rated higher on MC than the first.
