this movie is stupid yet it takes itself seriously. It's boring no budget so it can't be a action movie. The writing is too poor and non sensible to be taken as a mental thriller (unlike tinker taylor). the characters are so charismatic. Actor not taking the physical training to make it believable. He's a highly paid assassin yet he gets contracted to be a custom gunsmith. He's a gunsmith, but does his work without a shop bumming tools from a low end mechanic. He can have a rifle shipped to himself, but can't get the washer and metal tubing to make the silencer. Then he magically gets a drill pressed. George clooney didn't train enough to do proper pushups or pullups, yet we have to watch his training montage on the screen. He's in worse shape than all the non contract killer women in the movie. the action is poorly thought out with characters who don't think. it impossible to believe these people are highly experience successful contract killers. the bourne series was so much better. Clooney's relationship with the priest is such a crappier and can't hold a candle to godfather 3 michael and his priest. watch any of the movies i've listed instead of low budget clunker. if you want old man hot babe fantasy, the recent 007 movies are much better. or RED.

surprisingly entertaining move. A throwback to 90s movies done very effectively. From the sound effects, to music, to be B plot. Reminds me of Cold July, also an underrated movie.

super low budget, and it shows. There is no pay off or explanation. Just leading on the audience along then ends, probably lack of budget to show anything actually cool.

Don't get me wrong, I like movies about sex (lust caution, skins televisions, lolita). I'm not a prude by any standard. I like low budget creative movies (memento, millers crossing, etc); groundbreaking and breath taking. I like movies about FISHING (river runs through it). A movie with these characteristics can still be so repulsive. The movie is a pretentious artistic porno in the worst way. An old man makes a movie about a young nympho girl, it’s worst than you’d expect. Absurd fly fishing metaphors oddly inserted throughout the narrative. Self indulgent crap fetish. All the characters ring false, unconvincing, crap dialogue, robotic. The artistic editing is awful, and it doesn't have any place with in this movie. The opening is 90sec of black screen silence, then followed by a another 90seconds of rain pattering on roof tops. There is a reason it's 5hours long. It's like an art school's student's first movie. that should be edited to 10min max. The only hook in the movie is the audacity of sex = porno. remove the sex, and it’s obvious the characters plot are boring and trite. Young kids experimenting with sex and relationships with zero emotion. The removed all the intense lust, pain, anguish, love, impulsiveness and passion; a young person’s complex social hierarchy and how sex changes it.. It does so much disservice to it’s topic, which has the potential to be fascinating. I’ve love to see a movie about a sex obsessed young woman, that wasn’t so damn awful.

much crappier version of the first one. needed to be edited down. many jokes repeated way too often. Really a shame, they got great chemistry. not really sure how this one is rated higher on MC than the first.

A war documentary with French poetry and musings dubbed on top. It's a bit ridiculous. Some may like this sort of chimera, but I think it would have been much better as a straight documentary.

suffers from too low a budget. The movie tries to remain interesting with Guy Pierce's good acting, parading a cast of circus characters, bizarro back drop, and depressing tone. The writing, characters, and dialog is just not where it needs to be. Too many inconsistencies in them to be convincing, or worth a watch. Comparing this to similar "the road", a similarly depressing but unlike Rover, Road's plot more carefully ironed out, it's world better crafted with a larger budget. Worth a fast forward if you liked the Road.

some very good cinematography paired with lazy writing with very little coherence, wrapping itself with arthouse editing and psuedo science philosophy; an extremely pretentious film. its a shame that that such good visuals are paired with bad writing. Casting Leto a poor choice with such disjointed plots. He doesn’t have the charisma to pull you through this kind of story. If we compare this to films in a similar vein, The Fountain, Run Lola Run, or butterfly effect; its apparent how inferior it is. As Leto progresses the movie, his stoicis and aloofness just turns you off to giving a **** about what’s happening to him. Have you seen a less convincing father? Compared to the frenetic, emotional performance of Lola, her desperation **** you through the movie. Its important to for the protagonist to draw the audience in to maintain tension and drama. While this movie tries to pass itself off as something it’s not; interjecting itself with bill nye presentations throughout; it ironically is less logical and thought provoking than the “B” movie butterfly effect. Just one expample is the characters name Nemo Nobody, which the movie continuously hits your over the head with. They could’ve explained one time that Nemo means nobody. There’s reason why in 20,000 leagues, the name Nemo is used instead of “Nobody”. Nobody as a name is hokey and totally unconvincing.

Just an amazing documentary. Very cleverly put together. I'm not interested in snowboarding, but this film is captivating. Very interesting transition from beginning to end.

big sci-fi fan. Surprisingly light on substance, this movie is a sci-fi blair witch project, too stale of formula to be given a high rating. The budget was just too low to make this sort of movie. Throughout the middle of the movie it just teases the audience's interest by alluding to mysterious event which happened (can't be more specific here without spoiling) earlier. Movies resort to this tease when It needs to stall out audience interest. The last act of the movie really needed some more budget, as you never escape the interior of the ship. Pretty lame as the audience has been waiting in anticipation.

A very convincing realistic take on highschool romance. I watch a ton of movies, and this movie is original in a similar vein to 500 days of summer. Atypical focus on the weight that first loves are. The directing, writing, and acting triggered memories of my own early romance.

Did not like this movie. Long stretches of nothing happening that could be edited out, eg keanu spends 1min movie time eating a muffin. clips of actors sleeping. Going for indy feel, but I dont' see the point in this film.

Finally, a romantic comedy which does not take the same ol story template and puts whatever pretty boy face on the cover. very original writing and mature. EG. how many romantic comedies to you watch where their career actually has any influence on the story?

scary movies are not usually that great, and on that spectrum this movie not that bad. The scares are effective, has some good scenes, but overall plot is unoriginal without good pacing. Used a lot of creepy shots that are overplayed in scary genre (don't want to spoil). decent supporting cast and I wish they spend more time with developing that plotline.

"From movies like Jumper, Push, Next, Clockstoppers, and some other movies about people getting superpowers and using it for their own good, Josh Trank and Max Landis have pulled of the impossible. So what is it about this movie that i liked so damn much, well for one thing i loved the pacing and the timing in this movie, for a running time of 83 minutes, the movie doesn't waste your time and gets to the point very quickly and perfectly. Another thing is how realistic this movie is, with the camera work, it definitely worked out for this movie, and the characters were aware of it, which was a major plus in my book. I could say so much more, but what i will say is my regards to the director and writer for delivering one of the best movies of the year, and were only getting started" /agree. This movie is better than Jump, it has subtleties to, and it's honestly very underrated. It reminds me of greek stories and their demigods. It's obvious they were influential. I found the characters convincing, especially Michael Jordan.

Not a disaster movie, just a depressing movie that doesn't make sense with no escapism factor. They tacked a cheesy ending on it because they knew no one would want to see this movie if it was honest about itself.
