Wolfenstein 3D gave birth to the first person shooter genre, but failed to deliver a great game. The remake offers, at most, a little hint of nostalgia and some form of history lessons, but can't hide the fact that the game nowadays isn't fun enough to actually pay for it. And besides that, there are plenty of good alternatives.

This game is great because we get to shoot N a z i s, and it's a great game to turn your brain off to, but especially after experiencing this game on DOS, it's not as easy to get into as some of its contemporaries like DOOM or Duke Nukem. The game is certainly unique in its control scheme and its presentation, but in my opinion, it's not something I would come back to. I can shoot N a z i s in the newer Wolfenstein games.

Для этого, Джон "Движок" Кармак написал простой и быстрый движок, выкинув всё лишнее, что могло уменьшить кол-во кадров в секунду: никакого освещения, только текстурированные стены, цветная заливка вместо пола и потолка, минимум разнообразия и деталей. Играть в такое сейчас стоит только для ознакомления используя переписанный движок ECWolf.

The addition of some sort of tie-in to the new game is nice to see too, for those of you that plan on picking it up. There's a lot of content in the game too, and for the price you're paying, I'd say it's certainly worth checking out, even for long time fans that have already played the game to death.

If you played the original version of this game then you will expect nothing less... Its complete... nothing added... nothing removed. This is the Wolenstein I grew up with and love.

it's a really good port of wolf 3d, good controls, runs really well. but the music is half speed, i don't know why that would even happen
