It is arguably one of the worst games of all time. There is nothing redeeming about the game. The story, the gameplay, the graphics and the technical side of the game is completely awful and there is no reason to play it. The voiceovers and animations in the game look like something out of an unfunny meme. It could be funny, but only for a short time. When you have to look at it and listen to it for tens of hours, it's no longer funny.

Always had a deep passion for medieval-fantasy RPG games, and especially if they are old ones. 'Two Worlds: Epic Edition' was promising. Well, it **** launch it was perfect: quite decent visuals, beautiful colours, smooth movements. The main story is intriguing, the world map is HUGE, with with a plethora of varied environments & locations (towns, villages, (capital) cities, camps, outposts, castles, dungeons, caves, etc.), the customization is terrific, there are countless sets of armors and weapons, a lot of NPCs (mainly useless though), a bunch of sidequests, a full original bestiary, a lot of special abilities to uncover, factions to get along with, pretty music, ... Well the list of the qualities is really long.I had fun for something like 10 hours, and it seemed very long. If you tend to die on each and every opponent at the beginning (I have nothing against it, against non-tutorial games nor difficult ones), I quickly managed to find/steal/buy incredibly powerful armors & weapons, making every fight a one (or two) shot(s) one. I maxed the melee and basic magic spells and managed to run over any opponent encountered. I became richer than Croesus. I quickly reached the 'you are a living legend' level of reputation amongst different factions, and just by completing few sidequests. And the game began to lose my interest.I traveled a lot, because I deeply enjoy to explore the map, and chose to do so by horse (quickest option so far). A Navy aricraft carrier is easier to maneuver than the horses in 'Two Words'. I got soft-locked many times and had to reload as many times. You can whistle to get the horse but it doesn't come. It often get stuck in weird angles, and always when you are chased by those d*mn boars or wolves. So travelling was eventually not that funny anymore.I so chose to fight to complete repetitive sidequests. But with my badass equipment I emptied dungeons (often 4 to 5 small rooms max) very quickly. Camps are just a big zone with 5-20 enemies. And that's done. Not funny neither.I spoke to many NPCs and wow they have so much to say. They just ignore what chit-chat is. By the way, voice dubbing is so awful it looks like a total joke. Try to find compilations on the internet if you need a good laugh ! It felt like the devs tried to fill the lore everywhere they could. It all started to feel really empty in the end. After something like 8 hours of gameplay, the game suddenly lost its music and started to freeze-lag a lot. I tried to fix it but no chance. I persevered for 2-3 more hours but it was time to let go. Discovering teleportation stones was a help but also contributed to ruin the experience, making the game even easier and **** is sad because I saw its potential, just didn't have to patience to make some one-hour-long trips on a buggy horse to have to find the brother of an unknown dude in the forest neaby. Stay tuned if you want to read the sequel review because it won't discourage me to play it!

Good to pass some time away, but overall not recommended. Visuals are passable considering its age, combat is again passable with the ability to "dodge" (a feature missing from TW2) - Two Worlds is hugely unbalanced in every department, magic is massively underwhelming requiring massive spell upgrades before it becomes 'useful' Alchemy is extremely overpowered with the ability to create potions giving you thousands of permanent hit points, magic or stats. Mounts are buggy, with horses having pathing issues constantly. Item fusion is also overpowered giving the player the ability to fuse together the same items and have the stats cross-over, allowing for some extremely overpowered godly items. Another major issue is frame rate and stuttering which happens constantly, and gets fairly annoying. The game contains plenty of side quests but since the 'quest' tracker is confusing, most of the time you can't really figure out where your supposed to go, or to talk too. The main story quests are extremely convoluted with plenty of pointless running around just to open simple doors so you can continue your quests. Balance in every department is poor and its very noticable - once you complete the main quest line, the ending is exceptionally bad....I'm talking 'Mass Effect 3 bad' Overall, I cannot recommend Two Worlds but for people looking for a quick open world rpg to pass some time, and if you can find this game for 'cheap' or free, then its worth maybe checking out if your a fan of the genre.
