Torchlight Infinite reaches the sufficiency by virtue of the good ideas that characterize the combat system and the classes. But it doesn't go further, due to a rather anonymous design of scenarios and enemies and too confusing menus. We are therefore faced with a product that is enjoyable but which, unfortunately, cannot keep up with Diablo Immortal and other exponents of the genre.

Considering Torchlight Infinite is a free-to-play title, the hours of fun I got — with both free-to-play and paid characters — is a good sign. If you’re interested, check it out; at best, you get a great title to love at no additional fee.

Multiplayer is still missing, the user interface is crap, but it plays surprisingly well. The endgame is also fun. [Early Access review]

not the best music
good art direction
responsive gameplay
interesting gameplayloop and character building unironically better than d4
save 70 dollar on d4 and just play this instead, monetizement is basically the same lol

I hate Torchlight Infinite because it’s the perfect example of everything wrong with live-service games: greedy, predatory monetization, and a clunky, mobile-first UI that’s awful on anything but a phone. Sure, the crafting and combat are fun, but the gacha mechanics, paywalls for basic features like inventory slots, and constant seasonal charges ruin it. It’s a soulless cash grab designed to milk players dry, and supporting it just encourages more of this trash in gaming.

It has a huge potential. The devs try hard, the updates are good. I like the gameplay, itemisation, even the end game. What I hate is the mobile focused UI and gatcha monetisation. For me, whats rly stopping the game from being more popular, is some building calculator tool, because there is just no way to know what items are upgrades or not or if the build idea has a potential to work in the end game or not unless you devote days or weeks to testing and farming for it.

Драчільня для тих, кому Path of Exile надто хардкорно. На другий сезон мене не вистачило.
